What are they thinking? How do they go from designing the 2017-2018 Elantra Sport, which is arguably one of their best looking cars, to this?

Hyundai seems to have made the perfect car for the Illuminati. :yuck:

On the bright side, your car must have shot up in value. ;)

I don't hate the rear light treatment. I see the familial ties to the facelifted Sonata. But wow that front end is awful. It's so simplistic, and that shadow makes it look even flatter than I think it is. Terrible stuff.

Looks okay to me. From the top pic, at that angle, the pinching between the fog lights, do make the tyres look narrow.

Wow, that is terrible. Damn, I need an Elantra Sport like right now, those things look amazing in person.

When you get the original look so good that attempts at "improving it" ends up doing the opposite.

Is this confirmed the final look of it?

    I might be biased, but...

If your foglight grills were matching the wheel's colour, hat would look even better. imo

Nice! I've seen a couple in person and they always grab my attention by how much better and high-end they look than the normal Elantra. That said, I've had a couple Elantras as rentals recently and I like the driving positions and the interior layout more than most small cars. I think I'd actually enjoy driving one every day. It's just sporty enough to be fun and I can have an old Miata to build and dog on the side.

They're already hard enough to keep clean.
Took it up and down Mt Lemmon in Tucson last night (first run with the new suspension/wheels/tires) and it never fails to put a smile on my face. On the way there and back on I-10 it was super smooth and comfortable. It's a great highway cruiser. Not a whole lot of power but it will often surprise people that aren't expecting an Elantra to be quick. No regrets what so ever.
