Not sure if it's true or not, but we know one thing for sure, it's not Ferrari.

The og article
Insert popcorn.gif. Interesting if true, I was wondering how some cars lost a lot of performance. The Aston Martin went from rocketship in Sprint Qualifying to backmarker for main race. Ferrari and some others seemed to be much closer to the front due to the faster teams going slower, maybe there is more hope for the upcoming races to be closer?

I thought maybe it was due to teams taking more of a chance to get points in the Sprint due to duration and being allowed to change setup afterwards but if there is more to it, then that opens up things. Red Bull seemed to nail the setup for Max last race, McLaren looked a lot slower than usual.

Part team owner AND Team Principal.

Looks like he's been given the Toto Wolff Package.

Aston Martin is either going to be the most dominant team the sport has ever seen next year or they are going to be fighting with Alpines for P20

You mean Cadillac and Audi 😉. Alpine might be alright if Mercedes have nailed the engines again.

Audi might be alright as well if their own engine is up to snuff. Sauber doing good things this year.

Toyota Gazoo Racing to become title sponsor of the Haas team starting next year.

TGR Haas F1 Team. Feels like this is all leading to a full manufacturer return once Gene is out of the picture.

That's the feeling I get too, wouldn't shock me if Toyota were working on their own engine already. How much potential development crossover/mechanical crossover could there be in theory between Toyota's Hypercar PU and an new 2026-on spec F1 PU?

Why is this guy still employed? The communication is beyond Horrid. And if that's the race I think it is, clearly it has not improved at all since the beginning of the season.

I'm not sure which race this is, but man Ferrari is just shocking sometimes.

And it's situations like this where I love the fact that people keep pinning it all on Hamilton. He always, to a self-deprecating fault, acknowledges when he's to blame for his lackluster performance, but Ferrari gives him next to nothing to work with.

I also thoroughly enjoy the boneheads that, for whatever reason, keep bringing up Michael Schumacher's stint with Ferrari as if it's some kind of "gotcha", completely ignoring why Ferrari turned out the way it did.

I'd mentioned before that it felt like they were doing a roundabout form of due dilligence. And if Cadillac puts up good enough of a performance next year they'll basically take over as the "American" team, which I kinda feel is the primary reason Haas is still sticking around. Not to mention Toyota has far more financial pull than he does, so if they really wanted to buy the team out they could do so one way or another.

Cadillac has already usurped Haas as the American team when they debut next year. Heck, Red Bull might also be more American than them.

I got to a post that mentioned the race. It's Vegas.

Adami was like this with Sainz as well.

Maybe that's his job, maybe that why he's been there all along. And that is to sabotage, I mean just about "hold back" the second Ferrari driver so that its not a very obvious thing to the public. That way Ferrari still gets their #1 and #2 driver and they don't have to explain themselves since clearly the #2 driver's performance (with the help of Adami) is showing to everyone that they are not up to snuff. I'm joking here obviously because I'd like to believe that no team would willingly do something like that. Especially when there's so much money at stake in terms of prize. However, in the case of Ferrari, I can't help but think that it could still very well be a small possibility because it makes no sense that if he's that bad as a RE so many years later, why is he still there?

Unless there's an oligarch out there who somehow thinks Sauber is a more valuable name to revive than Lotus or Brabham, they're done. I feel like a little bit of F1's soul dies every time a non-manufacturer-backed constructor's name is erased from the grid.

Never say never with Sauber. Peter Sauber bought his team back when BMW decided they'd had enough with F1. It could happen again. Audi are still running the team out of Hinwil. It's still kind of Sauber.
