I understand now I was struggling to get laps in due to personal reasons and was nowhere until last night.

If we're within 10ft of each other this week, I'll be impressed with both of us!!!

To give myself an extra handicap this week, I've got a new wheel and am retiring my rattly old Logitech Driving Force. Five years of good hard service means I can rock the wheel up and down 10mm...

Man, you are going to be one scary quick dude once you latch onto a wheel and get used to it. For a DS3, that is wickedly smooth. And you have good throttle inputs for only having a button to press.

What can I say, except thankyou for giving me a work of art to watch every week. I can see the little differences that you have in your line that myself, and none of the other replays had, such as that little bit of grass you catch to take the first turn of T2 a bit wider to get that little bit more gas. I did try that a few times but ended up thinking that was not the correct line since I always ended up in the grass/wall on the other side

In the same way as an insect learns to adapt to a hot, arid desert; I have adapted to being smooth using a little piece of plastic

I sure hope that I can match my DS3 times with a wheel, anything more is a bonus. This will be put to the test within the next few months

Consistency is still a problem though, but the vids on your Tube site and the tips in the forum from you and the others help tremendously. 👍

- Nice control for a DS3. You used the brakes quite a few times when not required which cost you alot of momentum and therefore time. This car was at its best under acceleration and could carry alot of corner speed with a bit of constant throttle. Clean lap though and as I said, tidy for a DS3 lap. 👍

- Great lap Peter. There was pretty much only one line through T1 that enabled you to stay on the power and get a good run through the right hander up the hill and even a slight deviation cost 0.2 or more. A 27.6 was good though and not easy to repeat lap after lap. You lost the most time in T3 - braking through the chicane at the start of T3 cost you exit speed from the next right hander and you carried that loss to the line... probably about 0.3 just from that. You're going to be a force to be reckoned with soon I think mate. 👍

Dan, the only thing I have time to comment on at the moment is my least favorite turn on this track: the first left in T2 (2nd corner in T2, after the hairpin-right). Philip's min speed through there was 64 and yours was 57.
I have no idea how to do this one correctly, and I probably dropped to 55 or so.

T2 was a bit perplexing for me. If I remember from Phillip's vid, I thought he got a much better exit on turn 8 than me, and shifted up staying in 3rd through turn 9, the one you speak of, while I couldn't consistently get as good of an exit on 8, and therefore, it helped me to drop to 2nd on entering turn 9 in order to keep my RPMs up. Occasionally, I was able to get a good exit and stay in 3rd, but not that often. Good thing my T3 was pretty good!

I will be taking another look at his replay for pointers..as Phillip's experience showed. 👍 Subscribed to his 'tube site.

Here's my replay and congrats to all. Pretty close in my division, I was just hoping that I could cling on to a podium or at least top 5 finish. I was pleasantly suprised to pip DDiamond.
