Steward's Comments:
Our first wet race this week, and back to an old favorite for a track. The old Merc is a great drive around this track, but with the wet, it's quite the challenge. Sorry in advance to the DS3 users.

Viewing your T1 & T2 Lap Time Splits:

  • Save your replay using the "Save Replay" option. This is the only replay save option available for this event, you will not be able to save a ghost replay
  • Make sure you save your replay any time you have a run you are happy with. The game will overwrite the fastest replay every time you make a new run.
  • To view your replay, go to 'My Home' and watch the replay from there using the 'Replay Theater' option.
  • While Viewing Your Replay, Choose the "Live Timing Monitor" To View Your Sector Times
  • To post your T1 and T2 Splits, simply post the sector times that are shown in the live timing monitor.
  • The WRS Fetchbot has been updated and will now add your splits together!

Standard Clean OLR Rules:

  • 2 wheels on (or vertically in line with) the track at all times
  • Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
  • No contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
  • If you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty
  • No hybrids
  • No cheating of any kind, these are relaxed races and we are experienced racers, we know what times can be done, and we can read your mind.We will know.
  • Nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules
  • Save your best lap/ghost replay

Thread rules:

Submission:

All submissions must be sent by PM (Subject title: GTP_WRS Week 26 Submission ) to (WRSFetchbot):

  • Please submit your time in the following format on a single line:
    Time: X'XX.XXX
    (Example-) Time: 1'10.100
  • Users can ask the bot for the current submitted time by sending a message with the body: "get entry"
  • Users can delete their submitted time by sending a message with the body of "remove entry".
  • If multiple times are submitted, only the last submission will be counted.
  • Please include in your submission PM your final lap time
  • The deadline is Monday, August 15th 11:59pm GMT
  • If you are unsure of the deadline try this site

Why Use GMT?:
GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.

Time verification:

Save your ghost replay and keep it at least a full two weeks after the event's deadline:

  • Racers, named by the OLR Admin staff, (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • Any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • When a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within seven days of the request
  • Failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results table
  • Video replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Good luck, :gtplanet:

Thanks you so much Kevin. I was hoping for a good combo, but this is wonderful.👍

Looks really good, I'll try to participate this time :P

My best sector at Nordschleife! We'll see how well I do in the rain though. Thanks Kevin.👍

DAMN I have been fooled, I thoughed it was the whole track but only one sector :(. Still a very nice combo :D.

The Nordschleife ..... again ..... GREAT :D
Definitely in for this one 👍

Hey who stole the blue lines! :-) Last turn is really hard. Ive been in the stones every time so far!

Extra gearshift at the start is irritating....

Sweet change of pace, style and scenery :-D

T1: 1:00.307

I think this combo is actually pretty easy. I'm almost at my limit already.

I think this is it for me.

A DS3 user (D-Pad , X and Square) puts a time in only for comparison :)

First time on the game in about 6 weeks, decided, "I'm going to run the WRS!" Give me a few days and I might have a split that isn't embarassing :dunce:

My split board is messed up. It shows the slowest 2 times first, the fastest in the middle and 2 more below it. Odd.

Very odd, it's even picked up the time I put in the first post. :dopey:

Will post in the leaderboard thread for Joost to have a look.

Alright a Division 1 DS3 driver!👍

I noticed the apology to us DS3 drivers in the description but I want to see one of us perhaps end up having a huge advantage sometime at some track. Who knows maybe its in the rain?:)

I seriously dont know why rain driving would be harder for me but I only tried it once. lol

I looked at the leaderboard and the rankings arent right at all. Looks like first to enter splits gets ranked highest or something not who has the lowest time.

Haha, DS3 FTW! #1's can be done on the DS3, check out Week 17 WRS for the evidence. 👍 Still trying to figure out what the best assist combo is, been running active steering on strong for the majority of my runs but just turned it off and I seem to be going slightly quicker, even though I feel like I'm going slower. Gonna stick with it off I think and see how I get on. :dopey:

Looks like that didnt work how i hoped it would. But still Its a wet lap of the Nürburgring with a very brave/excellent driver.

Please don't double post. Use the edit button if you have something to add before someone else posts.

Thank you so much for listening Kevin, ask and you shall receive :D
Can't wait to get home, now to toss up whether to have another go at the Denso or jump into this one.

Was going to send you a PM, but figured you would end up in here at some point. ;)

Plus, if nobody noticed yet, I like me some old cars. :P

Hmmm. Anyone bothering to change the brake settings after 'Go'?

Running 7/5 to help with hard braking stability (the rear end breaks loose constantly with 5/5).

58.951

Fun combo, keeps you on the edge of your seat! 👍

I have a question though, the cobblestones outside the rumblies: track or not? I've been assuming not up to this point...

All hard is track. Says so in the first post.
