Nice job everyone!

Important notices:
To streamline the WRS administration process, all required replays for this race must be submitted within 7 days. This thread will be listed as "Provisional" and will become "Official" once all posted replays have been verified. After 7 days, all drivers who fail to provide a requested replay will have their lap disqualified. (Beware: disqualification isn't taken lightly within the WRS.)
Drivers who do not have a submitted lap posted in the results are not to post any information related to a laptime they might have achieved in the results thread. Any such posts will have the times removed.

Replay Verification Requests:
This week we would like to see replays for all indicated results. All replays are to be posted here.

Instructions on how to upload your replay can be found here - https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=3180607&postcount=2

Replay Checking:

  1. It is customary for all participants of the WRS to verify each others submitted replays
  2. Once you have checked the replay, post in this thread to say that you have checked it and whether it's clean, dirty or doesn't meet the required race specifications
  3. When verifying a replay, check against this weeks race specification, check that the tyres are the correct compound and that the power and weight is correct for example
  4. If you are unsure about a replay, always seek a second opinion before posting

Wow, miles off the pace. ..and continuing to ruin my handicap too.

Congratulations to Wes and James on fantastic times 👍

I have to voice a concern I have though. In tricky events like this one, technically difficult and very hard to maintain consistent lap times, even for aliens, there are noticeably less participants (for obvious reasons). This, however, has a knock on effect due to the way the handicaps are calculated and, rather than being rewarded for taking part in a difficult combo, many of the people that do run it are penalised by way of the handicapped results. I feel, therefore, that the difficult nature of combos such as this one should be accounted for in the handicap results.

Congrats to podium finishers and division winners. 👍

Here is my replay.

I'm not entirely sure that's true. I believe that lower participation could make the handicap less accurate, but which direction would depend on the abilities of those that do participate. I think the Squeeze and Scoot are intended to even out differences in the make-up of the fields each week.

Looking at the results it seems that division 4 is still over-performing but half of division 2 had a nightmare.:ouch:

Well done to eveyone who competed, I always like Monaco, even though I'm not so good at it.

DIVISION 4, salute! Same for me Vagabond, handicap numbers down. I think I have some aliens in my division. It's getting pretty hard to keep up. Congrats To all podiums tough course.

For certain types of events, we've lowered the weight of the handicap calculation. Those are normally rally events, or easier events like those at HSR, which tend to produce very erratic results, with tightly packed results and many drivers dedicating a lot of time to over-perform their divisional placement.

I think the thing to note with a combo like this is that it tends to produce a very clean divisonal split, particularly toward the top of the results. So the handicap might be a little worse than normal, but in relative terms, is an accurate reflection of driver ability - The point of the handicap system.

On to the pleasantries -

Great job by all the divisional winners and podiums. All were well earned this week. And congrats to those that managed a clean lap they were happy with - No easy task around here.

I have to call out D4 again, where the top performers continue to impress with D3 performances. 👍

Judging from the turnout, I'm glad I didn't go with the F1 car to match up what was being done in Monaco this weekend. :ouch:

Congratulations to all podium finishers. I was having fun with this TT at the beginning of the week, but had only a couple of sessions before I got a cold that kept me away from my wheel for too long.

Congrats to everyone - some extreme times at the tops of each division this week - I would NOT have guessed that the times posted in Div 1 would get that low - just AMAZING!

I'm glad I didn't post my time and am starting to question my current Division seeding. I spent countless hours on this one (don't have the mileage on the car but it has to be high) believing I would eventually do that miracle lap that made me feel better but that never came. Had I submitted I would've been in this range:

>> Division 3: Par: 1'39.549 Gold: 1'39.919 Silver: 1'40.355 Bronze: 1'40.856

If things keep going like this, I might actually trip up some undocumented tolerance in Vaxen's math program.

Look forward to seeing some replays to see exactly what I was doing wrong. 👍

Nice job ASH and gooners, very impressive t3 times.

Of course d1 was predictably set apart from the field on this difficult combo.

I have to agree with Chris on the handicap point, the increased risk of a bad handicap number, even if it's a reduced impact, can be a put off, especially after grinding all week. I was about .25 over my handicap until Sunday morning and I put in a lot of effort up to that point.

Anyway, had a ton of fun this week, replay will be up tonight.

Nice job all. Told you you'd get that lap in Wes 👍

Glad that week is over. :ill: Like Baron, I had problems walking away from it. 700+ miles and I barely beat my handicap. Phew!

Congrats to the podium placers, and everyone brave enough to submit. Wes and Twissy, you guys are INSANE!

WTG D4! Top 3 in the handicap results!

I must say I had been waiting to race here for a very long time. Totally upset I am not getting to do the WRS 3D3 race. :grumpy: I guess I have to work sometime to pay the bills!

To give you an idea how much I loved it.... 1,500 + Km's spent on this TT! 5 different tunes and 2 cars, 1 with chassis re-enforcement the other without. Kevin's tune (EDK) was my favorite and the fastest. Thanks Kevin! The Clio was so much fun to drive, had it been a real car it would have spent a very long time in the body shop being repaired!

Congrats to all that submitted and it makes me sad to see all those that didn't submit, 10 drivers in total. Every split I post is accompanied by a submission to fetchy. Sigh, anyway loved it and can't wait to come back to Monaco/Cote d'Azur. Looking forward to seeing the alien replays! Will post my replay tomorrow.

Al

Not a great performance from me as I only managed 300kms, but it was a lot of fun so I felt compelled to submit. Well done all...

Congrats to all the Div. winners and podium finishers, and to everyone who took on this fun but tough combo.

Great win in D3 for GTP_orsche, I couldn't match that lap. I had several faster laps than my submitted one (although only a tenth or so) but after reviewing them the chicane would get me each time.

Awesome job in D4 guys, Nice win and great lap Mike.👍

Congrats to Wes on the win 👍, very difficult combo and lots of face palming. Was always the case I hit a good first sector, I'd then screw the second sector and vice versa

Thanks for posting up the video Wes - truly AMAZING lap! I have no idea how you maintained those speeds through some of those corners - I'm at least 5 kph slower on most of them.

Congrats to w-g-e on the win and Twissy for an impressive second, two amazing laps. Just could not put that magic lap together with all 3 great sector times

Wes, that video is excellent. It looks just like mine but at 2x speed.

Here's my replay.

Replay.
This was challenging to get a lap without touch the walls.

Well done to all the winners and podium placers. It wasn't an easy week this week as there were many places to ruin a good lap and as a result I was nowhere near the division 1 guys but I still managed a good result so I can't complain.:)

Replay attached.;)

Nice lap, correct tires. Good lines all the way through, it looks like you just need to be a little more aggressive getting back on the gas, you didn't use the entire width of the track when exiting the corners. Good job though.

I need someone else to take a look at GTP_A7XMaverick's lap. It looks like there's contact on the exit of casino(the last corner in t1), but the data logger doesn't show any change to correspond with what I'm seeing. I'm not comfortable calling this very nice lap dirty without confirmation from another set of eyes.
