Nice job everyone!

Cheers,

Important notices:
To streamline the WRS administration process, all required replays for this race must be submitted within 7 days. This thread will be listed as "Provisional" and will become "Official" once all posted replays have been verified. After 7 days, all drivers who fail to provide a requested replay will have their lap disqualified. (Beware: disqualification isn't taken lightly within the WRS.)
Drivers who do not have a submitted lap posted in the results are not to post any information related to a laptime they might have achieved in the results thread. Any such posts will have the times removed.

Replay Verification Requests:
This week we would like to see replays for all indicated results. All replays are to be posted here.

Instructions on how to upload your replay can be found here - https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=3180607&postcount=2

Congrats guys, this was a bit of a tough car to drive around here. Congrats to Yanaran and Madmax for the excellent laps in the very last dying minutes. 👍 Congrats to the rest of the winners.
Koen looks like we were close to the very end mate good job 👍 only 0.006 separating us, I wish I had a capture device cause this would look good in a side by side comparison :).

I however almost didn't submit had my PB's give me a 1.48.952 so I was trying to get as close as that as possible but couldn't even beat this lap. I'm wondering does anybody ever reach their PB time (from their PB splits)

Anyway good job everyone. My replay

Awesome lap Jonas. 👍

My splits were allover the last 3 laps 49.004 , 48.993 and 49.982 . Left about 0.270 sec on track.

I tested both cars and ended up using the car with color closest to UNISIA JECS SKYLINE from GT2.

Yea , manumanu19 .. beating the theoretically possible lap time (based on PB splits) happens sometimes.. also referred as magic laps.
This is something you hit just right and more after several hours of trying.

here's my replay for verification: PAL [RPL044]

That's too close. should've chased that hundreds when you compete :)

I knew i lost a little bit in the final 2 sectors , and just a bit too much appearantly.

Congrats on the win in D3 Manu 👍👍

May it be your last:lol::lol:

Yea very very close, probably just got on the power a bit sooner or changed gear a bit later than you for that lunge or could it be nodding frantically to get extra tenths like lewis did here

Congrats on the win in D3 Manu 👍👍

May it be your last:lol::lol:

I sure hope not :sly: but believe it or not you push me very hard, you and porsche both Im always scared of your last sectors

This tends to happen but I end up going faster in a different sector, then my target lap changes, I think its only once that I beat all my PB splits

Congrats to winners and podium finishers.

I knew I blew T4 on my lap and figured it wouldn't hold up.

- Very nice and clean lap. If I may suggest , turn off the TCS.
It caused you to overshoot the braking & turn in for a few corners on that lap.

WOW! I snuck on to the podium! Very close for the win in D3! Congrats to all podium winners! My replay will be up shortly

Al

Thanks guys! That was a little unexpected because I know Chris had a faster time (friends ranking peeking!), so I only got the top spot because he didn't submit it. I'll take it though! :) Congrats to everyone who got on the podiums, a lot of good results in D3 in particular.

My replay is below, the lap itself is not particularly spectacular but I managed to keep reasonably close to my best first three sectors and snuck in a PB T4. :sly: Like Mamba I was still about 3 tenths from my magic lap, but hairpins are my mortal enemies and I could never nail T3 when I was ahead of my ghost.

Nice lap Yanaran, very smooth, sliding in the hairpins was what I was trying to do as well, my best there was a .890, but I could never get close to it once I lowered the car

I'm very suprised that I could almost keep up with my division this week :dopey:
The handicap result is also good, pretty satisfied.

Thanks Daniel, good job on the handicap result 👍 I would check your lap but I'm currently braking in the very slow car for the next wrs event. If its not checked tomorrow Ill check.

Congrats to all the podium finishers and participants who posted times.
Pretty quick times this week for an underpowered car. I thought I finally got the hang of T4, but looking at the results, I think I still had a lot to learn through there. I thought smootheness would be the key, but I have a feeling thrashing it through there may have been the quicker way.

Another week where the Div2 podium finishers end up with positive handicaps! It's those darn guys down in Div3 that are just so dang fast! You four know who I'm talking about! We need some promotin" round here!

Here is my replay in the Calsonic.

Nice lap MadMax, noticed you shifting a bit earlier than redline, was it beneficial ?

Thanks for checking.

Shifting before redline is better in these (two) cars with this short gearing.
Power peaking at 5500 rpm and dropping only a little from there , more so towards redline - it was most usefull to stay close to peak power. Landing on peak power after every up-shift.

Would have like to spend more time on this track as I did find the double corners where some constant throttle is needed was a challenge using a DS3.

Thank you for checking and the feedback. Yeah have to be better with braking, struggle a lot with that. But finally I have a feeling that I'm slowly improving and this TT was the proof.

Clean 👍 I'm not really sure, but I think you lost a bit of time going off on that last corner, that curb kills momentum.

I think you are right. I felt the same way, but it was my best last sector time I had so I felt that was all I was going to get.

I did a little analysis after Kreezy asked about his .006...conclusion...you cleaned our clocks in the chicane there. Kreezy still had you by about .098 coming out from under the bridge (I actually think he pulled another .01 seconds ahead through the braking and right turn after the T3 timing mark),
but coming out of the chicane to the front straight you were way ahead of both of us. Good job.

And thanks for the check.

Thanks. So it was down to that chicane, I had a feeling it would have been there. How did you do the analysis ? It would be nice to have a side by side video comparison.

Started with freezing the replay at the T2 point. Then freezing the replay at different markers along the way. For example, the shadow line of the over pass on the track right before the chicane makes a great progress check point. Of course, one can't be exact but with patience, you can get within
.016 to .017 seconds as that is the frame to frame time.

From what I could tell, Kreezy was ahead of you going into the chicane, you were much quicker through the chicane, but Kreezy actually exited a little quicker but not quite enough to catch you before the start finish line.

It would have been a great race to watch side by side thats for sure.

Thanks for the analisation:tup:. very interesting to read.

So if the finishline was 50m further i would have had him:crazy:

Don't know for sure Kreezy, but I am sure he was more than .006 ahead exiting the chicane. Don't know how much more track you would have needed, but given a long enough straight, you just might have.

I went back and looked at Koens replay and ConRollins was right I stopped the replays at around the same place (there probably some error given its hard to stop exactly at the same place

About a meter before the end of the shadow under the bridge

My Time: 1.35.134
Koen: 1.35.019 (-.115)

First part of the long left before entry to chicane

My Time: 1.36.234
Koen: 1.36.119 (-.115)

Exit point at of the chicane

My Time: 1.40.267
Koen: 1.40.553 (+.286)

Little walk way on the long straight on the left side of the road

My time: 1.43.334 @ 130Km/h
Koen: 1.43.419 @ 136Km/h (.085)

So I was about .286 ahead just from the entry but lost almost all of it exiting the chicane but not too much. Now I know how I lost those 2+ tenths to the D1 folks. But Koen caught up to make it .006 so def those 6 km/h advantage on the straight would have caught me if it was a few more meters before the start finish line. Fortunately for me there wasn't :) Surprisingly, from the Data Log our lap looks pretty similar, braking points, gear changes etc, its only a few corners like the hairpins where we were slightly different, and the last corner you had a wide entry I stayed narrow, but other than that almost identical
