Another channel called OldSCCAguy, has hours and hours of full races from the 80s and 90s. Trans Am, Indy, FIA GT, IMSA, SCCA runoffs, and more.

And this is a behind the scenes look at David Hobbs for the 1971 Can-Am Riverside GP. It has coverage of the full race, but edited shorter.

One of my favorite channels.

Two more channels I've come across in my exploration of the depths of YouTube. I think both of these are by the same person.

I haven't gone through everything, but there is a huge variety of series on those channels - everything from NASCAR, to Indy, to F1, to IMSA. I was just watching some footage of an IMSA race from Columbus Ohio in the mid 80s :D

Even though I've liked your post, this isn't a race I have fond memories of.
I was a HRT fan at the time & was totally enjoying watching the two team cars run away from the rest when it all went sour.
It made watching the rest of the race something to do instead of something to enjoy :indiff:

I was only 13 months old at the time so the idea of Super Tourers racing a second 1000 at The Mountain blew my mind when I found this clip awhile back, I think it is awesome, despite the clear domination of the Williams Renaults and BMW.

HRT cars leading in super touring? The Vectra's were so slow at Bathurst they were embarrassed,

Apologies but I clearly got myself confused between the AMP 1000 for SuperTourers and, the FAI 1000 for V8 Supercars.
When I think of 1997 Bathurst, I automatically think of the V8 event.

I just finished watching this one and oh. my. god. I don't know what I was doing that day at 5 years old but I wish I was watching this.

The 1998 CART 500

Edit: Fatalities in stands, it is easy to find if you want to watch the race.

1997 had an absolute cluster of a start, I regularly search for champcar races between 1994-2002, the series really was brilliant for everything then, the noise those cars made under acceleration is sublime,

The racing was amazing, but FYI - the Adrian Fernandez accident on lap 175 killed 3 spectators:

Famine
Do not post videos depicting fatal accidents
We know that motorsports can be dangerous, but this is a General Patronage site and crash videos where a driver dies, even if you can't see them dying per se within the video, may be a bit too much for younger viewers.

I'm sure there's plenty of other races you could substitute for that one.

So I'm a big FIA GT fan, and I've been desperately looking for full races - specifically, some from the around the 'GTR2 era'.

This is the only one I've found out there:

I know there's that one website out there that you need to be invited into. I forget the name right now! If anyone could help me relive my childhood by allowing me access to what they have, FIA GT or otherwise, I'd be eternally grateful.

This a playlist I found with quite a lot of 2002-2004 FIA GT races

Here's parts of the 2005 Spa 24 Hour. It's only 3 hours worth, not sure if it's highlights or just 3/24 hours. Also, it's in French.

Here's a playlist with 2006-2011 FIA GT races

This channel has lots of races and videos from the 2000-2003 seasons of FIA GT.

Honestly, I just typed "FIA GT 2005" into the YouTube search bar. First bunch of links were some of the top playlists. The last link I sort of randomly found by clicking on the channel of one of the videos in one of the playlists.

Yeah unfortunately all I can find is highlights shows, I've been going through the GTWorld youtube channel trying to find a race from the south American road course around a lake, cant think of the name of the track,

Thanks dude - some of this is new, but a lot of it I have seen on my quest! Most of this stuff is highlights, hence I specified full races!

EDIT: If anyone else is looking to watch these, please bare in mind a lot of it is not in English. 👍
