6-8 Weeks!!!

So I phoned sony becasue my PS2 has been scratching the crap out of my Vice City disc and they said just to send it away, but it would be about 6-8weeks before i got it back!, I can't live that long without my PS2, so do you guys recommend anything that would fix my problem? Should i just get a DVD Cleaner?

Or you could take it to a local electronics shop and they might fix it for cheaper than what Sony will charge.

In Saskatchewan, the closest place is Ontario. and sony will fix it no charge.
