oh me oh my..

Someone please some assistance!

Just got my net back (now on my laptop) and i'm trying to get it up and runnin on my PC.

Only problem is...

My onboard networking card (integrated into the A8N) isn't working right..

I tried plug & play...not working...So I went the long winded route, I dug through the crates of CD's and found my modem's disk AND my ISP's disk...
I try installing the ISP's disk...and it tells me I have no networking card...
I try installing the MODEM's disk..and it just goes willy nilly..

I've researched around and found that alot of people have probs with the a8n and it's onboard networking, and like me they don't want to go out and buy another networking card specially since it comes with a gig card...

Now I've tried reinstalling the original disks drivers..

I've tried installing the newest 7.15 Drivers from nvidia....Anyone else got ANY idea's on what I can do before I go out and spend $$$ on a new one

It's onboard? Try going into the BIOS and ensuring that it's enabled. I've got the A8N SLi. It's got loads of options for enabling and disabling devices and the networking is one of them.

nope..still no luck..
funniest thing..I'm getting LED indicators that arn't "exsistant" in the book..

it's yellow for activity and orange for conn speed

Full detail of the prob...

I plug everything in...alright.....

i checked the BIOS made sure it was enabled...

I tried Updating the drivers.....
I tried rolling back the drivers....

I tried updating the BIOS

i've tried just changing it to focus on Throughput....

In device manager it says my nforce Network controller card is working fine without any conflicts....

however the pc still won't recognize it as a network adapter...I've tried uninstalling the card and re-installing it....

i've even tried using the modem via USB and it still won't connect....

if anyone has ANY idea of what could be the issue let me know

What still isn't working? You need to actually explain what's going on here rather than just saying it's not working all the time.

I really don't know how to explain it....

Well my Modem's driver disk recognizes that I have a network adapter...

However my ISP's disk says I have no onboard network adapter....

I hook up my ethernet cord to try and do some sort of plugnplay like on my laptop.....

and all the activity lights come on....however it sits on "aquiring a network address" for about 10 minutes before it makes a connection..and then it only transferes like one packet per minute and recieves none.....

I've got the latest BIOS...the latest modem drivers..the latest Nvid drivers....latest everything....and still nothing!!!
