I read all of Trumps goals for us as being president and I agreed with all of them, so that's how I chose my vote for him. My family voted for him too. Here's all the proof right here:

Honestly I've watched so much news over the past 20 years I honestly don't know who to trust, but I am forced to pick someone to help.

Why do you agree with them? What thought have you put into them.

Lets pick one example. How will imposing tariffs on all imports help the US economy, and what down-sides does it have? Don't post links to answer, answer that in your own words.

You picked the person least likely to help you. You picked the guy who tried to overthrow your government to help himself. A convicted felon and rapist who was facing prison and needed the whitehouse to help himself. Whatever news you've been watching, it hasn't been the truth. Fix that part, if for no other reason than to understand your grave mistake.

Love that the proof you have given lists "Increase prices for ordinary people" and "Destroy the climate" as major selling points. Sensational. What do you agree with about those points?
You are an ordinary person Chris, and you are struggling for money as it is. Why do you want to be even worse off?

You like what was promised, but did you think about if those things could realistically be delivered?

I'm not sure what proof you're presenting. Those blurbs clearly state that promised were made with no indication on how they would be delivered. They also state that they aren't likely to work.

Trump is not saving anyone other than himself. I don't even think he'd save his children if he could. He only cares about himself. It is all about what is in it for him. In 2016 people could have been excused for thinking he might act like a decent (lol) politician but there is no excuse otherwise to select him. Trump will not save you intentionally, regardless of what he said.

Oh my days.
Biden also said most of his supporters were garbage, what a rude comment.
Biden, being old and confused, intended to say that the guy who said all of Puerto Rico is garbage at a Trump rally was, himself, garbage. But he messed up. And he wasn't standing for President.

Now look at virtually anything Trump, who was actually standing for President, has said since 2014 about virtually anyone. Just last week he said something that essentially meant he thinks women aren't people. Women, like your mother.

You voted for that.

Ugh, well I guess next time I just won't choose him then. Ain't nothing I can do about it now. Hope Trump doesn't make a huge mistake for the world/country. And that's so weird, most people voted for him, so do they want the world to be a disaster??

Yes. And you probably won't get a do-over on this one. I'm skeptical about the US holding another election. But if we do, it could be an "election" as the term is used in Russia.

A lot of people don't know because they don't do their research, or think things benefit them that don't actually benefit them.

There are millions of people like you Chris who just don't really know what's going on and stick to one thing they've heard. Like you and fluoride, there's others doing the same thing for countless other reasons.

A big thing to keep in mind is that what Trump will do, is help rich people. And rich people are the ones capable of getting their voices out to people and making sure you hear what they want you to hear.

@Chris30 in the UK we have a phrase..

“Own Goal”

You my son, have just scored one.

Thoughts go out to the people of Ukraine. Trump winning is horrible news for the future of their nation.

Poland will be extremely nervous as well.

Did you understand point number 2 on the economy? Tariffs will absolutely destroy the economy and increase inflation.
Tariffs aren't technically inflationary. The effect they have on the individual is similar to inflation because it raises the price of goods either imported as-is or manufactured domestically from imported inputs.

Tariffs make it so that my dollar doesn't go as far. Very simple.

Now I'm confident that I can weather it. My wife and I both make good money and our daughter is no longer costing us anywhere near as much as she once did because she's concluded her education and has nearly fully paid it off, works, and lives on her own. Our situation is such that we can both retire now, before the age of 55 (if only by a few years), and live out our days very comfortably despite the fact that only one of us would pull a pension. Honestly we're both comfortable doing what we're doing and feel no urgency to stop, and hey, we should be in an even better position (not accounting for external forces) when we do retire. I hate that this is the case, but the Fake Bake bitch has absolutely been a part of the calculus.

I get the impression that @Chris30 isn't in the position that I am and I expect that they will be hit hard by Trump's populist economic posturing. And you know what?

Donald Glover Reaction GIF

I hear my coworkers talking about how Biden did nothing for the economy, who are probably unaware that inflation is down to 2.4% (pre-pandemic levels), because all they know is that their Wendy's chicken sandwich costs way more than it used to.

Of course people have no idea how inflation works so now they think they are experts! I wouldn't even claim to be well-versed on inflation but my BA was in economics so I kind of understood that Trump's plan was very bad for the country.

And Palestinians, and Estonia. The list is expensive... err... expansive. Well, expensive and expansive.

Lesson learned, I guess I won't vote anymore, because really you don't know who is trustworthy for this country. I guess I need to stop watching the news and just start going outside more and be aware of my surroundings. I feel bad for most people, they elected an asshole and he won. Trump also has that ego where he knows most everything about this country. You know what, Obama had more sense when we was elected and serves two full terms.

No. That's not the lesson to learn.
because really you don't know who is trustworthy for this country.
Develop critical reasoning skills and you can narrow it down quite considerably.

Getting a break will help, but so will viewing the news through a critical lens.
I feel bad for most people, they elected an asshole and he won.
Sorry to say, but you are part of 'they' in this case.
Trump also has that ego where he knows most everything about this country.
Well he thinks he does, but it's a long way from reality.
You know what, Obama had more sense when we was elected and serves two full terms.
Obama wasn't without his faults, but yes, he was a considerably better option when it comes to, well, anything.

You still need to be aware of the truth, especially when it comes to things like tap water and fluoride. So you unfortunately cannot absolve yourself of the responsibility for finding credible news sources and being skeptical of what you hear. You just need to be more careful about believing things.

Start practicing those skills right now by learning about how vaccines work, how we eradicated smallpox, how we fought polio and won.

If you get another chance to vote, you'll need those skills.

You don't need to avoid news, just use your brain when listening to it. So much of what comes out of Trump's (or his yesmen) mouth is verifiably false after 30 seconds on google.

No, there were other reasons why I chose him too, Biden also said most of his supporters were garbage, what a rude comment. Maybe I should stop looking at the news so much, and reading articles to disturb me and my mind.
So rude.

I can't vote for rude people. Other rudeness examples include "nasty woman", "vermin", "enemy of the people", "the founder of ISIS", "human scum", "radical left", “poisoning the blood of our country”, the US is the "garbage can for the world", “root out the communists, Marxists, fascists and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country.”, "Lyin' Ted", "Little Marco", "Low Energy Jeb", "Pompous Mitt", describing John McCain as "not a war hero" and "loser".

Such rudeness.

It's insanity, that's what this all is. But it's part of the system we're living in. So....what do you expect? It's so overwhelming at times.

It's his second term. He cannot stand again for you to not choose him again.

Aside from the questions of whether anyone will ever be able to vote again in the USA now the man who wants to be a dictator has control of all three branches of Federal government.

As of this moment the house hasn't been called yet.
