If you need a good laugh watch the first minute and a half of this video. It gets NSFW after that though.

What a.... , I can't even...

:dunce::lol::lol::lol:

Terry, Terry, but Terry, just remember that, Terry, that to Trump, Terry, he's the smart one, Trump is the smart one, Terry. Terry, you Terry, Terry, you can't see "MS13" Terry, because you follow fake news, Terry, that makes you, Terry, you the dumb one...

Terry.

Trump probably cares about the mid-terms on some level. If Congress flips, then Trump will be impeached and removed on day 1. Trump will also likely attempt to run in 2028, assuming he hasn't died of a massive heart attack so he'll want to carry that support, especially since it's going to be a rather unpopular decision with a good chunk of the population.
He doesn't care. The way he keeps talking, he'll be straight up asking one of his ghouls, "What if we just don't have mid-terms?" and then screech Democrats are going to steal it.
Sanders isn't useful to Trump, nor is Arkansas. Sanders will support Trump no matter what, as will Arkansas. Michigan is a different story. Whitmer already doesn't support Trump and the state can go either way come the election. The Republicans want to win the Senate seat that is up for grabs soon, and they want to keep their House Representatives. Even giving the tiniest bit of help will allow the Republicans and Trump to spin it as helping Michigan. They can undermine Whitmer while they're at it by saying they had to step in when the state couldn't provide due to ineffective Democrat leadership.

I don't think the Republicans actually care about Michigan, nor do I think think Trump really cares either, but I do think they see Michigan as useful and will use the state as a pawn to get what they want.
You give them too much credit. Republicans might be thinking it strategically, but Dung Fuhrer makes their decisions for them.

That will be the end result. The question is will someone actually care to stop him? Nobody in the House or Congress do (why would they, they already get the money) and the Supreme Court has no power.

Michigan needs to be on Trump's good side. Tariffs will have a severe impact on the auto industry. Northern Michigan is in dire need of federal money since it's still a disaster area with the last person finally getting power back a few days ago. Selfridge is a major economic driver on the east side, getting the F-15EX squadron saved the base and thousands of jobs. I'm not a huge Whitmer fan, but one thing she's always done is put Michigan first and done things that aren't exactly popular to ensure Michigan comes first. The main reason she was grateful for Trump's visit was due to saving Selfridge which was likely only saved because she went to DC to meet with Trump a few weeks back. Whitmer has increasingly showed that she's at least willing to work with Republicans too, which is important since Michigan is more purple than anything and needs to be sort of moderate.
Northern Michigan, blue collar, that base are all majority trumpets, so let ‘em have what they voted for. They voted for it after all, so they should be happy with all the waste and fraud cuts.

Whitmer really started dropping in my eyes when we had that ice storm that the power was out for more than a week for most people and instead of telling DTE to do better she was praising them for their efforts and then rate hikes got approved. Completely out of touch, just like current stroking of orange’s ego.

I assume you're talking about the ice storm from a month ago? There wasn't a way for any company to do better. The sheer number of power poles that needed to be replaced was in the thousands and the entire stock of poles in Michigan was a fraction of that. There also weren't enough linemen to actually complete the work, and the southern part of the US was dealing with tornadoes at the same time, so the linemen we'd typically contract from Indiana and Ohio weren't available.

Whitmer was right to praise their efforts because the power companies were working 16 hours a day up until last weekend to get everything back up. Some of the areas that they had to replace poles in were so inaccessible that teams linemen had to carry 700lbs power poles up forested hills. That takes a hot minute to do.

I don't know enough about DTE to say whether their rate hikes are justified.

This one still confuses me. Wasn't the photoshopped part just meant to be a translation for the symbols that are undoubtedly real tattoos?
Yes, but don't try and tell the stable genius that. ;)

He'll probably have MS 13 really tattooed on his knuckles just to make this photo in El Salvador (after Donny:dunce: had him shipped there) fake news.

I mean, it is true that fentanyl can have an outsized effect. The problem is one of those two numbers doesn't look right. A 2 mg dose can be lethal.

Why not both?

I'd like to see how a single laced pill takes out 5 people.

A look at the damage RFK Jr has done in his short time as director of HHS. RFK Sr must be doing about 1 million RPM in his grave right now with what his son is doing.

One particular note at 17:56, one of the fired workers at the HHS tried to talk to Indiana Republican Senator Jim Banks and what the Senator said to the fired worker is just appalling.

Of course it can't unless it induces the user to start pumping out fentanyl laced farts or something. According to this X user (the platform, not the drug) a 200mg pill containing 2mg of Fentanyl is sentenced as if the trafficker was carrying 200mg of Fentanyl, if I'm reading his thread correctly. Perhaps that's where the inflation comes from.

Wow. I wasn't aware that each pill on average kills five people. Thank you, Fentanyle Awareness day.
The pills have an advantage here: unfettered access to weapons and idiocy in America.

I think it's more plausible that the military will have to get in his way than it is for the Democratic party to be able to do anything conventional to stop it.
More plausible but definitely not a certainty in my mind. Admittedly it hinges on the point I made earlier regarding the proverbial tipping point that would make the die-hard MAGA cult reconsider their outlook.

Because of how polarised the USA is, it's natural that there's going to be political splits/divergences throughout the rank and file, not to mention the top brass who would presumably have to come to that consensus and effectively conduct a military coup if push came to shove... and it's pretty much a given that anyone expressing disquiet is going to be shunted aside in double-quick time, Col Susannah Meyers of that Greenland Base being exhibit A: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/creq99l218do

With that in mind, I feel like it very much depends on the level of transgression (for lack of a better word) that the chiefs of staff would be asked to commit to. Deploying a greater military force to Greenland to forcibly occupy/annex it would essentially take the "rules-based order" page Russia ripped out 12 years ago and toss it into the fire, essentially giving the green light for China to go to town on Taiwan when it suits them... but, given enough of a hard sell regarding future logistical/economical/tactical benefits regarding more control of the Arctic circle, they could acquiesce to it. There would certainly be more than a few resignations, discharges and/or firings regarding being the aggressor in this situation... but I don't think it would be the tipping point.

That (you can only hope) would be something like an order initialising preparations for an initial bombing of Canada for a ground invasion (or something equally horrific), where they would collectively turn to him and say "you are unfit for office" and frogmarch him out of the Oval Office/Pentagon. My worry is in that situation (and in indeed the Greenland scenario) is that a lot of faith is placed in the senior officers "doing the right thing", in much the same way faith was placed in the proverbial "checks and balances" preventing an abuse of power... and look how that turned out.

E: A comment on the above article got me good;

Archie Tect

"Commanders are expected to adhere to the highest standards of conduct, especially as it relates to remaining nonpartisan in the performance of their duties."

If only the Commander in Chief was held to the same standard.

That this thing is even discussed as something that might be on the menu says a lot about the orange man and his first 100 days in the white house.

Imagine being in a coma since october, just to wake up to this surreal reality.
