The US likely wasn't involved, at least not directly. Yes, we more or less bankroll the entire country of Israel, but I don't think we pulled the trigger, so to speak. Trump is trying to capitalize on it and doing a terrible job (shocked I tell you). Not that he cares, but he's probably going to get US servicemen killed as a result when a bunch of dudes in a fleet of beat-up HiLux drive them into a base and blow themselves up.

Trump starts off talking about himself (surprise) ...

... then demonstrates that he has no clue about what to do (let alone what his job might entail).

Simply ignorant, wall-of-text, attention-seeking.

Reminder - tomorrow is another "No Kings" day across the country and around the world. PARTICIPATE!! -

It's almost as if he wanted to be president because he thinks it means people have to pay attention to him...

Also - when is he going to stop blathering on about global politics and put 100% of his short attention span on America? I can't imagine many people voted for him based on what he could do for other countries...

"Almost"?

Does he ever do anything in public which doesn't have the goal of attracting attention?

That why he never has "a plan", but simply "the concepts of a plan". I'm being deathly serious. And people around the world are becoming deathly dead as a consequence (see the consequences of putting USAID "through the wood chipper).

"Let me be clear: Iran should not target U.S. interests or personnel."

Benny Net: All of Israel is a U.S. interest though, so please head over.
If Iran responds with anything substantial (and at this point it appears their responses have failed), Trump will be pressed to do something. Probably will do something culinary-related.

Can we PLEASE go back to the pre-DOGE days when the Democrats controlled the weather?

@Danoff I believe "freedom of speech" should be limited in some way of public servants. Anybody from police to reps to the president. While "the people" should enjoy it, the law is not the people, and public servants are representatives of the law, and therefore should have to meet an elevated standard. There should be a crime for making false statements in an official capacity, but more importantly there should be a monumental effort to actually charge and convinct on that rule, because if such a rule already exists it's effectively useless.

You do have to be careful with this because, who is in charge of determining what is true? What if the current government passes this law and decrees that it's fact that vaccines don't work, or that the 2020 election was rigged, which are completely untrue?

I don't actually disagree with you, but such a measure can be abused.

EDIT

To clarify, using an official position to push false information is something to punish but I think it needs to be handled on a case by case basis instead of trying to catch it under a single law. It also needs to allow for legitimate mistakes and areas where a clear answer might not exist. Instead of trying to limit the speech of politicians, it's probably better to make investigations into abuse of power (which spreading misinformation would fall under) more potent while also making the records of officials, such as how often they have broken promises, easier to track.

It is. You're not supposed to hear anything political from civil servants while acting in an official capacity. And there are even restrictions on them outside of the office. Generally speaking you're looking at the Hatch Act. Now, Trump has started to institute some requirements on civil servants to effectively break the hatch act, but that's a different issue.

You have a political class of public service, such as the president and vice president. And you have an a-political class of public service, such an IRS or FBI agent. With project 2025, the idea was to extend the political class to enable not just political speech, but obligatory political speech.

The Trump administration has abruptly shifted the focus of its mass deportation campaign, telling Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials to largely pause raids and arrests in the agricultural industry, hotels and restaurants, according to an internal email and three U.S. officials with knowledge of the guidance.

The decision suggested that the scale of President Trump’s mass deportation campaign — an issue that is at the heart of his presidency — is hurting industries and constituencies that he does not want to lose.

Lol, wut!!?? An 80-year old! Dang, it's just getting crazier and crazier everyday. "Shakes head"
I may as well get some plain popcorn and just sit back and watch what crazy stuff's gonna happen now. Trump is causing a mess for the world!

Not being funny, but you voted for this.

You can’t vote for it and then try and take moral high ground by saying you’ll eat popcorn and shake your head.

Also not trying to be funny, but because of fluoride in the water, of all things.
Hey, there was all this stuff too. You know, Trump's "goals".
I read all of Trumps goals for us as being president and I agreed with all of them, so that's how I chose my vote for him. My family voted for him too. Here's all the proof right here:

Honestly I've watched so much news over the past 20 years I honestly don't know who to trust, but I am forced to pick someone to help.

So opposition party politicians are being assassinated five months into his presidency on the same day as his Hitler military parade. What do we get to look forward to for Christmas?

Well you're right, we'll just have to deal with what we got. At least he didn't tell us to drink bleach this time. Remember he said that when the pandemic originally started? All I can do is just keep watching the news online everyday and monitor what's going on here and in the other countries.

Pity you didn't recall that in the polling booth.

Also he didn't really say to drink bleach, but openly mused if there was some way to get disinfectants and/or ultraviolet light inside the body because they kill viruses. Still very, very stupid and very much should have been a recommendation against voting for him in either of the two subsequent elections.

You actually voted for a convicted criminal? A sex offender. Really?

Well? They're letting him get away with it. Sick....lesson learned. I won't vote for him again. my stupid grandparents and other family members talked to us over the phone in to voting for him. They are Trump supporters. They even threatened if we didn't that they would not help us with food and groceries. So I was forced to vote. I really hate my narcissistic family. We fled their asses in 2015 to escape. Unfortunately that didn't help because we still have contact with them. See my grandpa helps us with food, supplies/medicine with his income every month.

I don't like talking about them but the truth has to be said. I wish I could expose them for what they've done to us. Maybe it's best we don't vote anymore. I wonder how I can get restraining orders put out on my grandparents, aunts and uncles that have treated us like ****. Most of them are in their 70-80's.

Honestly I'd rather be single and not have any relationship(girlfriend, wife, etc). Cause they may persaude me to vote again!
