American Champ. (Laguna) What's your race time?

Just curious.., to those who have complete the event.., what's your best "race time" at Laguna Seca under the American Championship, and what car did you use?

Until today I've been running this event with a RM'd ZR1 (Vette). My times ranged from 6:48 on the low end and 6:50 on the high end for the race.

Today I bought the Ford GT Spec II. This is now my "Grind" vehicle for this race. Using this car (with the only mod being switching from racing hards to softs).., I nailed a race in 6:44 👍 I shaved nearly five seconds off my race time with this car, and again with only the addition of racing softs. I didn't think I would shave that much time off.

**On a side note.., to those interested. This event will give you 117k in credits.., and (I think) over 7k in XP points for just running 5 laps. Not too bad :)

WOW! Great time. Any mods to your Spec II? Yeah.., I know the Indy is quicker.., but I'm a big fan of the Laguna track. I need the twists and turns to keep the race somewhat interesting :sly:
 
I'm not sure on my times but I know that my Dodge Viper GTS-R Team Oreca Race Car #51 is pretty quick round there. It's so stable and quick.
 
I can run 1:22.5" laps with my Camaro Z/28 RM '69 tune... still in final phases of testing but will go on my tuning thread sometime soon.
 
I did a 6:17.9xx in a 2J earlier. Tried a few cars, Dodge Viper mentioned above was my second fastest closely followed by ZR1 RM.

I was going to go through a couple of older cars like the 1963 Corvette C2 Race car and Camaro mentioned above but didn't get time.
