Spiritual successor to one of the scariest games ever made (Amnesia: The Dark Descent) . This game has been in development for quite a while now and releases in just a couple of days, you can preorder on Steam for a discounted price of $16 (down from $20) . I just pre-ordered myself because I loved being scared to death by the original :P .

First Review also just went up

I bought Amnesia and still haven't played it because I'm too sca -- busy, I imagine it'll be the same for this. I do wonder how badly Amnesia's reputation will affect A Machine For Pigs' sales. I don't actually know anyone who has finished Amnesia, and I know at least three people.

Well a bunch of reviews have been published now across most major gaming sites, metascore is only 74 but the reviews I have read have been very positive, particularly concerning the atmosphere and story, the most important aspects for me.

I bought it on Steam and the game unlocks in 6 hours time so I may get to play an hour or so tonight !

Oh btw the reputation for the first Amnesia should actually strengthen this game's sales, The Dark Descent is a cult hit and if you are a horror fan it is a must-play. Based on that I think any decent horror fan will seriously consider buying this follow-up .
