ok since i played a wile over this weekend i was able to get alot farther. i now i havve 357 cars/trucks. i think i can get 600 cars by friday how about u guys :)

Note: I originally posted this into: Subaru Imprezza Photos.
I think it has a better home here. I think you guys can help me out.

I'm a collector. getting close to 400. And I'm not sure whether the final magic (750?) number contains 'team colors'. I'm trying to get all variations of the GT4 team colours. Here's my latest challenge:

I'm posting Slo-cars No. 57 (hope that's okay Slo-Car).

I want to go over a theory I have. I'm convinced there are 7 Subaru Impreza Super Touring Cars ('01) in different colour schemes.

So far, (from my garage) I know there is No. 57 (silver), No. 77 (White), No. 87 (Red), No. 97 (Black),
and from what I've read in this thread, there is a green (Number?) and Orange (Number?)

Why am I convinced there are 7? The Subaru Man. race in question is the Pleiades Championship.
The Pleiades are a group of stars nicknamed the 7 sisters. I think there is an astronomy fan over at PD.
Anyone have Pics. of the green or orange car?
And to prove my theory right, "the missing colour".
Numbers are helpful also.

Tried hard to get those 4. So any glimmer of hope (pictures) on the other 3 (to keep me going) would be appreciated. Want those 7 sisters.

I try to get everything for Arcade Mode. You start out with 240 cars, and after going through and buying as many cars as possible since Spring Break in March, I'm at 603. I played it last week or so, and I'm trying to get machines such as both variants of the R390 GT1, Toyota GT-One, even the bigtime Le Mans race cars. I usually spend money a lot on cars and such, so I never have enough to get up to 4.5 million credits after only a few races. I don't do that DTM trick or any endurance several times (though I am considering re-running the El Capitan endurance for extra money), so making enough money isn't that easy.

Keep in mind too, you have to win races and ace License Tests to get most other cars. There are a few cars you can buy from the used car lots and all without having to earn them by getting all-bronze, all-silver, and the elusive all-gold. One such example is the Honda S800. I think you have to gold all the B-License tests to get it, but if you're lucky, you can have one from the Used Car lot. So there's a lot of stuff you have to do right in order to win as many cars as possible.

But as it stands as of 1:41 AM CDT 6/13/05, I'm at 603. One of the most recent cars I got- the Pagani Zonda S 7.3, or whatever it's called. Remember, I'm not out competiting anymore. So don't expect to see me with any outlandish statistics of my GT4 experience.

Subaru is the Japanese name for Peiades, If recall correctly.

Well, I didn't know that...interesting! Weird how their logo has 6 stars.
Guess that was just their take on it... how about the rest of my question???

Okay, gonna boot this to the top of the pile....
anybody there?

Still lookin' for an answer... the 7 sisters?????
I'm now thinking this is a lost cause.

I have 717 (719 including the Sileighty and Audi AutoUnion) arcade mode cars unlocked. I only need two more to have them ALL unlocked. I'm not sure what I'm missing yet, but I'll get to it eventually. So I think it's safe to say I'm one of those "Anyone who has collected almost every car in GT4", considering my simulation mode garage has 719 cars if there weren't any repeats (I have more than that though, of course). I wish I could get these last two cars though, or have GT4 made with a built-in feature to check which cars I still need to unlock. It feels so incomplete

I wish that when hit 100% complete, all showroom cars were unlocked, too, I just want them all with low mileage 'cuz it's pain in the ass to pay 50k for that rigitity part for used car to make it almost new :)

I've got a 99% savegame crack ... and wow what alot of cars ... pages and pages of cars ... but in my other game I have like 200, which is probably not even halfway ...

So far, I've bought every car that I need from the Used Car Lots and I just need 5 more prize cars (all from the European events). Once I've got them, I can buy everything else that I need from the manufacturers

if there were an option to repaint your car i'm sure a lot of you wouldnt have so many cars. I currently have 215 cars. I thought there was a limit to how many you can buy but i guess not after seeing some of you guys have.....900 :dopey:

I'm going to be modest with my spending and keep my amount of cars under 300 :)

I have a Corvette Z06 ('00). It was my starter car. I've put so much time into it. I actually bonded with it and it is now one of my biggest money makers.

I have a NSX Type R ('92). It was one of the rarist cars in the Used Car Lots. I finally attained one in black. Thought its not a big money maker, it has proven to be useful for the light weight competition races. I'm also a fan of the NSX, especially this model. So I kept it.

I have RS200 ('85). Its something that I didn't even know exsisted until I won it in a Rally race. Now it serves as my Rally Car and has been doing a fine job. I need to put more time into it.

And I have a CLK Touring Car. This is my real money maker. I use it for the German Touring Races. When I'm close to the 1,000,000cr mark, I run the Touring Series a couple times.

I always sell cars if 1.) they aren't useful after they're attended race 2.) they aren't rare.

@OCD Collector: I don't doubt you have the black LMP cars with 0 mileage, but I would like to know how you got them. Cheat device? No offence, just that they are used cars and used cars will only ever have 10kms minimum, so there must be a trick to getting them with 0kms that you aren't telling us 👍
To get the black cars without the milage on the clock you need to use the cheat "All cars are free". This cheat also allow to display the "special color" when selecting a car (so you can also buy the pink Citroen 2CV and the blue Subaru 360 for instance).
I got also this way a white Peugeot 205 turbo 16 (road version) with no milage.

I used this cheat because I could not finished a race and wanted to get the car (the Sauber from the F1 cup and the Bentley from Le Mans).

There is also a cheat that give you a full garage. Will give it a try....

I have only some 200 cars, (140 of which are fully tuned and have been driven at this stage).

I am desperately searching for the Lancia Delta HF Evolutione '91. (the road car).

I know it cannot be bought new, and I have not found it in the prize lists. The only place I can imagine it would be the early 90's second hand lists but i have so far failed to find it.

Does any one have this car and if so where did you get it.

BTW, I am not using any cheat devices.

Like I've said before, I have the worst curse.
I feel I must collect every car I like in every COLOR I like it in.
:nervous:
I did this in GT3 and had a full 200 garage within days.

Before buying any though, I'm trying to get all the Prize Cars in the colors I want before moving on to buying.

So, I make money, and can sell repeat cars.

I am getting to a tiring point where I can't stand doing a race over and over.
Example.
The Toyota RSC. I can NOT get this car in Grey, only black, blue, and green. I can never win it in another car.... :indiff:

I'm about to go and get a ActionReplay for GT4.
(Can't bother with a ActionReplay MAX or whatever...)

Supren
I got 304 cars, i barly kno what cars i got. I dont think i need any more than what i have now LoL!

I feel the same way. I have so many cars every time i go to my garage i find a new car i never knew i had.

Got mine from the used section. It does not show up very often.

I got a cheating device for this reason. Fed up to wait forever to be able to drive the car I want....

I now own all 733 cars in the PAL version, plus the ten extra colours of F1 car.

Some cars only appear in the used car section just after you've unlocked their race/rally counterpart.

route_66
the second (my A-spec save) has all the cars including special colours, all the models

Clarification? You have all the colors each car comes in??? Or am I reading into that?

I know the Mazda RX-8 Concept Type II that is won for all silvers in the license test comes in 7 colors. NO ONE I've ever talked to has ever gotten anything but yellow.

To answer an earlier question: Like most video games, the designers put in their own "cheats" to assist in testing. Usually these are like the "up up, down down, left, right, left" variety. I've spent alot of time testing various combination with some happy results.

Some are more subtle.

For instance, did you know that you have to run 181 laps on Opera Paris to finish the game? Or that according to the track screen, Opera is EXACTLY 1.81 miles long? Ergo: The color you win is dictated by the outcome of the Opera Race in the Euro Hot Hatch race. There are several variables at work here, but it is NOT as random as you might think. I've ran it over a fifty times. You CAN predict what color you will win.

As for cheat devices, the problem is simple. You cannot buy what isn't there. Several of the cars do not appear at dealerships; therefore, even with a cheat device, you can't just buy them. You have to keep racing, and racing, and racing. Especially with the enduro races. (And if you know the color formula mentioned above, you do it alot LESS!)

One last thing: I keep hearing alot of talk about this "full garage" cheat. But everyone I've talked to says the same thing.... It gives you one of every car in the game, true, but it ALWAYS gives you the same color of that car (which happens to be the default color, first in the color list for that make). So to get different colors of a car, that cheat is worthless too!

So that's why a Lancia Integrale popped up right after I won the rally car. :)
Thanks for sharing that. 👍

Impossible to have every model car in all its colors.
There's a total of 721 cars, and about 500 of those have at least 3 color options.

GT4 ain;t GTA .If there were cheats using the joypad on GT4 I guess it would have leak on the net by now. Software ain't probably debug on a PS2 so there is no need for joypad cheats :)

Every programmer will tell you that random function are based on the clock timestamp. You cannot predict the color you get man :) Unless you watch you clock closely :) :) :)

Are you sure ?
Got the 205 Turbo 16 road version in the used section before unlocking any of the rally version.

That one and a few others appear on specific days. Theres something like 5 or 6 cars that only appear once you've got their counterpart.
