Why not just buy the unicorns as you max out your cash? Seems wasteful to hit $20 mil and not spend it, making your further events wasted financially.

My intention with my GTsail4 game is to not spend any cash on cars and see if I can complete the game, so I will just have to let the cash get wasted when I max out at $20M:(:ill::grumpy:

Got my first double, Ford Mustang Mach 1 1971 on the 15th and the 20th, Grabber Green Metallic and Bright Red respectfully.

So, April 23rd - St. George's Day - it is.

Maintenance starts at 0400 UTC, so if you're in a time zone where that's not even midnight yet (which pretty much starts at the US East Coast), you'll need to get your car sorted for April 22nd before you go to bed!

Will I be able to get that last car in Nova Scotia? I’m an hour to the right of the US east coast.

Looks like it's bang on midnight for you, so if you can time it to get the mileage at seconds-past the hour and the server doesn't go offline on time, you might just be able to get the car for 23rd...

... but if it goes offline early you're boned.

So if the update lands on the 23, I’ll only be able to get another car on the list tomorrow (22nd), I can’t stay up late to do some miles just after midnight as I need my sleep and have to get up early on the 23rd... Was hoping to extend the list a bit longer...

Thanks, I’ll try my best to get it. Maybe I’ll catch some sort of last minute timing glitch and get a 20M car. :D

Actually even once it goes offline, if it still spits out a dwg it "should?" still count if it's before the updated dwg list lands?
If not 100% factual data it may count as anecdotal data if the facts are pointing in some direction?
I'm not sure, does the game not hand out dwg's when it goes offline?

The game does not count Daily Mileage at all if you are not online.

Surprise it's-only-a-few-days-before-the-update entry, partly because that's how much of a sociophobe I am, partly because (and this is a slightly touchy subject. Please no instant banhammering)..

..for anyone far enough west on the globe wanting to sneak the 23rd in, you can sort-of trick the game into thinking it's a day later than it actually is. If anyone remembers the Time Zone Trick from the Closed Beta, it's basically the same thing - change the time zone setting on your PS4 to somewhere past midnight, do the daily workout, and - fingers crossed - you should be greeted by the Wheel Of Misfortune. If it doesn't, try entering and leaving a few menus or leave it for a few minutes before trying again.

I'm not 100% certain, but there seems to be a window of time in which the game will not trigger the DWG, and it's either got to do with how long it's been since you last received a gift car or just that it needs to be later than a few minutes past midnight - TZT'd, of course.

If this is something people want to do, then, I'd recommend going with a reasonably easterly time zone and attempt to trigger the DWG in the afternoon/evening local. Leave a few hours worth of safety net is what I'm trying to say.

And no, changing the normal time and date settings doesn't work. I'm guessing GTS runs off of some sort of internal clock capable of detecting *that* sort of shenanigans.

For obvious reasons, I don't know if this is something that will actually be condoned, but.. in the interest of science? It is an extra data point, running off the same hypothetical list, displaying the correct date..?

Speaking of lists, for what it's worth:

If we continue this after the update, I'll also start logging what I get on my original account. It sure seems that I get a lot more crap cars and duplicates on that one.

Will I be able to get that last car in Nova Scotia? I’m an hour to the right of the US east coast.

Here's how it could/should work for you.
The update is from 9pm-11pm pacific time on the 22nd , for you that's 1am-3am on the 23rd.(4 hour time difference)
So, you could log on after midnight on the 23rd and get a daily car, then save/log out, log on again after the update and maybe get another car,
when the wheel re-sets with new cars , might work.

And if that does work everyone in the Pacific zone could get a 2nd daily car between 11pm and midnight, then another after midnight.
As well in the Mountain zone if the update finishes early like it did last time ,you could be on at 11:30ish, as i was on at 10:30 pacific last update.

I’ll definitely give that a try, I’ll let everyone know if it works. :)

This actually does work - I sometime get my US account's cars back to back, from 11pm to 1am my time, to save doing it the next day.

As a group, we have received 254 of the game's cars

- Two most given gift cars are from Lexus and Toyota.

I see what you're doing there, PD.

As mentioned by:
7/12 of the cars I have won this month so far are Gr.3 vehicles. I get so many Gr.3, is this normal? Could be me but I always assumed the game is biased towards Gr.3 as it is the main class.

When this is done it would be good to see the % drops of each car class to see what the game delivers on average.

I think that they do it this way, because they want to present different cars for the FIA Championship. How you know, in Manufacturer Series you have to choose a brand and most races are with GT3 or GT4 cars in the Nations Cup.

Looking at my most recent list of gifted cars, PD is certainly playing favorites with the GR.3 class.
8 of the top 9 received cars are GR.3 cars:

***(snip from post # 282)***
***gift car leader***
Lexus RCF GT3 Emil Frey Racing '17 with 25 gifts

second place with 23 gifts:
--- Toyota FT-1 Vision GT (GR.3)

three cars are in third place with 20 gifts:
--- Citroen GT by Citroen Race Car GR.3
--- Mitsubishi Lancer EVO Final Ed. GR.3
--- Porsche 911 RSR '17 GR.3

--- Ford GT LM SpecII Test Car (GR.3)
--- Peugeot Vision Gran Turismo GR.3
--- Subaru WRX STI Type S '14

Even though its not a GR.3 car, PD has thrown the Subaru WRX STI into the top ten list because I asked them to:D;)...(just kidding)
