Isn't it pointless to question what other people do on a public forum? I and i'm sure other's don't need you to tell us what we should and shouldn't do here.

And for the record, I do it because I value other people's opinions. You don't think I realize the number of variables that could make a picture I post look completely different for someone else? It still helps to hear feedback. Things like @Peter Boese and @andrevr posted regarding the trees helps me make things better and more accurate.

I'll let you have the last word because this is the last comment i'm going to make on the subject. I'm not about to get in to a war of words over something that shouldn't have come up in the first place. Have a nice day...
Apologies, but I think you've totally missed my point, which was just what you see on your hardware with your PPF won't necessarily be what other people see on this forum, never mind what they'd see on their gaming PC with their own PPF and settings, so asking for comments based on images rather than letting people test it themselves might give misleading feedback. At no point did I "tell you what to do".
Please remember that you did ask for opinions.
I guess offense can be found anywhere if you look hard enough.

I have a driver that can be made to fit very well in the cockpit, using the tool in CM to set it. BUT, no matter what I do, when I click on "Save pos." it always moves the driver somewhere else, inevitably to an unacceptable position. Anyone know how to get it to save it exactly where I put it?

@Masscot and @racinjoe013 please keep on with all your improvement, you both have a passion for AC modding. Be aware sometimes it’s a bit difficult to explain a mod can be better, without a starting a confusion.
I find it also very difficult to explain that a free track most be better made, without losing the modder.
AND not to mention : not everyone in the world is fluent in english, mistakes are meant to be tolerated

It's a pain, but I find that saving after every individual adjustment seems to minimise the repositioning.

I'm not really into road cars, but holy smokes those driver animations are LEGIT!
I always assumed there was some sort of hard-coded, baked-in reason why I haven't seen these before.
The separate wiper, headlights and gated shifting animations look amazing! I always dreamed of details such as these in a prototype at Le Mans etc, reaching over to flash the lights on the Mulsanne.
Just wait until you see what happens when you honk the horn 😉 yeah @Young78 this is a masterpiece, thank you!

Well, you nailed it; usually my races are like this...

... and I imagine races with +50 cars must be like...

... yeah, for that crowded races are needed the LOD's blessings.

By the way, my PC is poweful enough for my needs, I never do races with so much cars; not all of us need to recreate the Paris-Madrid of 1903 taking care of even the smallest detail.... 😊

I was not questioning people's pc, don't feel threatened :D
...and I don't care for 1903. Without proper LODs you can't even manage a 30+ grid which is pretty standard stuff.

Plus if you wanna fly there's always the good ol' Wreckfest.
Go Season 3 GIF by Law & Order

Oh no you don't... Just replace "F1" by "vintage GT"...
Me I enjoy let the AI run and walk around the track, with some good combos it's a top notch!...
Jokes aside, this is the beauty of AC: it encompasses all kinds of tastes, manners, choices... there is nothing that is mandatory, or better, or more correct; everyone can choose what to do. Even driving muscular guys in their underwear on weightlifting bars. (Yikes, I said jokes aside... 🤦‍♂️)

Surely you arent playing in VR with 3k per eye, in this case, you would understad how important are the lods.
That's why is said 'in 2D at least'
Main point was that the CSP lods thing is placebo, someone did some random tests and it was worse than no lods.
I tried VR and hated it, so I speak for myself and I didn't run into issues when using lod less cars in 2D, in fact I've started to remove cockpit LR from some of my most used cars if it has it as i hate the cockpit switching in replays.
If you use VR why would i care? I'm talking about me.
For sure i'm dammed if i'd bin a nice mod because it had no lods.
And i'm not sure the people that always announce that they bin stuff if its encrypted or has no lods or whatever, actually ever do.

But then i can happily load up rfactor and have a ball with it. I like stuff to look good, but i can fade out certain stuff and still have fun if needs be.

I changed my mind. 😀 After some more investigation🧐I found some interesting NeelJ GTR2 track (I do have permission for all NeelJ tracks). Not a graphic wonder but fun to drive. Plan to put that into the GPLmania updates.

These historic tracks are fantastic. I did some small tests with the 72 pack (with Matra, Lotus and Ferrari) just fantastic.

Just one detail. To get closer to the real times of 1972 ( Matra (PP) - 2m53 - Ferrari (4th) - 2m55Lotus (8th) 2m58 ), I changed the "surface" file in the "DATA" folder, to have a little more grip.

In some first tests (without changing), with Matra it was turning around 3m12, after several modifications I reached 2m59....more or less good. Bring on the circuits in Mexico, maybe a version (more detailed in Reims (2 versions), maybe Circuit do Porto and Monsanto in Portugal.

An improvement in the graphics for Aintree?. And if it's not too much to ask, there would be a chance of making the Dundrod track (World SportsCar), used most often in the 50's for the (Tourist Trophy).

Hi guys,

I need your help for identifying some stickers on the #59 Konrad Motorsport Porsche 964 Carrera RSR 3.8 from the 1994 Le Mans race.

I marked the positions of the stickers, which I can not identify. Would be so cool if you guys could help me again.

Thanx
Daniel

Does anyone know how to convert this 2020 Audi Q7 from GTA 5 into assetto corsa
Personally i'd see where the GTA guys got that model in the first place, then convert that, i'd guess thats available in all sorts of places, its pretty bog standard.

I think a lot of GTA stuff is encrypted, if i dare say the E word.

Some more French stuff without LODS!!

Aintree is in the making. I will not get permission for Dundrod. Hehe. Story from the Isle of Man project. Reims of somewhat for track makers not converters. I tested Porto and Monsanto in GPL unfortunately in AC it looks not good.
