I didn't check the specs of the car, I was just excited to get on the Nordschleife in GT6 (15 minute race A-Spec session), and I chose this car from avail list in my garage.

The car and track kicked me 180, repeatedly, all over the place. (SS tires default)

Is it me? is it the car? (didn't check the settings). Is it the new Track data on GT6 that says: GT5 wasn't really how it is. ?

It wants to turn a 180 easily on all corner entries.

I haven't checked tune settings for any car yet, just want to collect cr where I can. Perhaps that's the wrong approach.

enter the turns smoothly, not as if you were taking part in a banger race or using ff, and also lay off the throttle and introduce it slowly, use the racing line to help if you really need to. slow and steady. the more you drive the more you will get used to the new physics, you cant expect to learn an entirely new game in a few hours of play

I try to practice on the Ruf Yellowbird.

I swear to God, if you can drive that damm thing you can handle anything in the game.

It is fun if you really focus and get every corner right, but I still much prefer the handling of a typical FR car like the Corvette ZR1.

Keep in mind what car you're drving. A GT3 Audi R8 can produce quite a bit of downforce, but thats expected to be matched with racing tires that can deal with that pressure. So when you drive the car with street tires, the tire's grip threshold is much less, meaning you can't drive it the same you would if it had slicks on. Another thing to remember about the R8 is momentum. Weight transfer is very noticeable in this car. Hard, sudden braking can easily lead to spinning because the sudden forward momentum overrides the available grip. Trail braking can be especially tricky. The key is to be smooth, as noted above. If you drive with a wheel, try to maintain a small amount of throttle while braking.

I was using the AE R8 and found that adjusting the front and rear toe helped quite a bit.
I don't remember the settings but if you read the description set them so the car has more understeer.
I think I moved my settings 40 from original.
Drive it like an MR car as mentioned above.
I still have a hard time with the banking transitions at Daytona, the car wants to turn on its own coming out of NASCAR turn 2, All of a sudden it spins, no aero adjustments yet.

Try this.
Read this thread also.

Be sure to tell us how it all works out.

For others I made adjustments to An AE car, under A and have not lost any cars.
I have no cars in stockyard and my music works fine.

Guys, here is my attempt at the R8. I am using a wheel. The car was tuned at the green hell on Race Hards. Let me know what you think.

Ride Height: 85/85
Brakes: 3/2
Springs: 13.72/16.84
Compression: 3/3
Extension: 2/2
Anti-Roll Bar: 1/1
Camber: 0.5/1.7
Toe: 0.22 / 0.54
Diff: 10/54/36
Downforce: 250/758

Mine came with racing hards as default. I did not notice the snap oversteer, maybe a little, but not a lot, so put the RH's on and see if they help.

Yep, I used the same car and had similar results. I did a lot of spinning at Nurb also. You definitely cannot use as much kerb now as you could before on the Ring ... and if mash the gas while even one tire is touching a kerb then you are probably going to spin.

I finished the game (got to the End game credits) with the Audi R18 TDI racecar. , golded all events :) 1st attempt on the Nur night driving, softened suspension, raised height, cruised, wasn't aggressive with it.

I still can't drive the R8 , then again, I didn't tune it at all to date, will get back to it eventually.

500K away from buying that FXX Ferrari.
