Bad news for the Blazer

Well yesterday afternoon my Blazer found out what hitting a tree felt like. Here is the story.....

Me and a friend of mine were driving down the dirt road by her house. I was going around 30mph and I came up on to a 90 degree left hand coner. So I slowed down to around 20. Then I saw this Neon come around the coner and we met. The neon was sideways cause she slammed her brakes and slide sideways. To avoid her I slammed my brakes on and lost control. I slide right off the road, hopped a ditch, busted a bush and stopped when the truck hit the tree. The b**** in the neon never stopped and kept going.

I was stuck in the ditch so I'm sitting there waiting for the police to come. This guy in this ram stopped to help me, he ended up helping me push the truck outta the ditch and back on the road.

The cops came and took care of everything. But I got the bad news when I got home. I have like 1500 bucks worth of damage. My bumper is dented, ground effects are cracked I think, fog light is busted up, and my hood is scratched. The tranny might be messed to cause of trying to get outta the ditch. Also the alignment is messed.

As for me I got a couple of cuts and bruises. I think I messed my ankel up too. But I'll live I think.

nah I'm just going to repair the blazer. I don't really want a car. But if I got a stang it would be an older 5.0 one like I had. I like the Blazer to much to sell it to.

I'm glad that you are ok.
The truck can be fixed or replaced. So in the GRAND SCHEME of things, it isn't as high on the list.
Hope you heal up quick.

sorry about the Blazer. That's some pretty shady stuff by the neon driver. What if you had been seriously hurt, and she fled the scene like that?

You're lucky you didn't hit the car coming around the bend. Same situation happened to a friend but he didn't swerve and ended up totaling both his car and the car sliding around the curve.

Did the person coming around the curve stop?

EDIT - I guess not. Maybe she didn't see you go into the ditch? Sorry about the car; you didn't catch the tag number of the Neon? I guess that's what Michigan gets for all the years of not using front plates.

I didn't get the plate number. But I saw she was on a cell phone so I'm guessing she wasn't paying attention.

I know she saw me. I think I've seen the car at school before so I'm going to do some looking monday.

The other driver fled the scene. All he knows is that it was a woman in a dodge neon.

I dont know all I know that I'm really shook up about the whole thing. I wasn't even this messed up when the Dakota hit me before.

Anyway its against the law to leave the scene of a wreck if you were involved. Especially if you caused it. I hate jackass drivers, there are lots of them these days. There are too many good people getting killed by dumb people these days. A few days ago there was a kid in a CRX (passenger seat). They were going accross the intersection when a truck hit them. The guy was probably under the influence. He fled the scene. The kid died later. He was really bright and on the baseball team. They guy that hit him was a repeat offender (over 3 times) ...

well I found out today that I stress fractured my ankel and tore a muscle in my shoulder. I was in a ton of pain when I got up and I was just laying around. My girlfriend came over to see me and she was thats it your going to the emergency room. So now I'm going to have to take it easy for a while. But I'm more upset over the truck then myself. My poor Blazer

That's not too bad. Probably llike $850 to get it fixed, nonetheless.
