I just recently bought my self a bass equalizer pedal by boss...and I have a limited idea of how to use it, and Ive looked all over the internet to find out how the heck youre supposed to use it and where I can find different settings for setting it up, but that hasnt done any good, so can anyone tell me how to set it up and how to really use the EQ properly?

thanks

Tell me what other effects you have running, where you have them placed and how you connect them to your guitar and amp and then I can help you.

Thats the only pedal I have so far, and its connected through the effects loop to my amp which is a 60 W fender
If it's the only pedal you have, then why do you need help on how to use it? Actullay, you do, because you should run it between your bass and your amp. That way your amp can really bring out the freq of your bass that you have selected with the pedal.

Putting it between your bass and amp will bring out the tone that your bass naturally makes. Putting in the effects loop will bring out the tone that your amp makes of your bass. It depends on how you want your tone to sound.

Just boost certain freqs to get the sound you're looking for. That's all it does. Try boosting 1khz, and 100hz and adding a touch of 10khz, and then cut everything else. That gives me a cool bass sound when I use a flanger with it. Remember, EQs are a tone altering device.

Thanks solid, that helped I get a nicer sound between the guitar and the amp rather then the loop.
