WANTED: The car chase with the Dodge Viper
*full of effects but quite a good treat

AGAINST ALL ODDS: ferrari and porsche! classic
*smooth chase and good cars

VANISHING POINT: Super scenes via the Dodge Challenger
*unforgettable scenes

and the best of em all.......

RONIN: the city car chases were perfectly driven and shot in film
BMW, AUDI and MERCEDEZ ...WOW....just amazing
*its pretty hard to duplicate the chases in this movie. A lot of films do it in open roads and highways. But not like this

probably saw this but see what space is still available in a motor compartement

From what movie is that??

Back on topic. The best, I think is this. Hands down

That BMW 535M is awesome! One piece of machienary...

People haven't mentioned the Transporter series since about the third page. Those are pretty cool, although the 3rd movie's chase is really fake, but the first one was pretty legit. Big German cars racing all over, yea, that's the stuff. And of course Bullitt and the real gone in 60 seconds are the kings. I haven't seen Vanishing Point yet, but the Audioslave video with it is pretty cool.

Ronin was kind of tedious, bullitt was okay. Really, I'm surprised there aren't better car chases in the movies. I've found some pretty good stuff in the Shuto Youkoso series, and probably best in the last film, Shuto Youkoso Max. Lots of great work, some track scenes featuring Keiichi in GT-R's for most of the series and NSX's for the Max. Most of the street racing is pretty lame, all done low speed, fake rpm gauge shots, inexplicable lead changes. But unquestionably the shots of car testing in vacant lots is as real as can be, as well as the touge runs (can close the roads for the shoot there, not so easy on the highway scenes), and lots of classic cars throughout the series, Silvias, Supras, MR2's and more. Definitely some serious professional driving. Stories only so-so. Keiichi's a pretty good actor, too, gets quite a few lines and scenes in all of the movies in the series and does well with them all.

That sounds pretty good, but I have to say the best chase scene I have ever saw was in Bullit. It was classic, 2 great cars, a Dodge Charger and a Ford Mustang. I forget what city they were in, I think its San Francisco.

No man's land had some good chase scenes.

was that the no man's land from 1918, 1978, 1987, 1994, or 2001? Just kidding, I can guess you mean the 1987 movie about car thieves, but it was funny that so many movies came up with this title when I did the search.
