What's your best race? Doesn't matter if it's in Arcade or Simulation.

My best race was today in Pro mode in Arcade. I went to the Test Course and used my GT40 Road Car(unmodified)and had the most challenging but fun race againts a Griffith 500 and a Speed Six.

This was how the race was for all 10 laps. I'm in the lead lead, they slingshot past me, I slingshot past them, hold lead for 10 sec then the Speed Six slingshots, then the 500, then me, etc.

That's how teh race was till both of em had to pit on lap 8.
 
Best race was actually in GT1 I was driving a regular viper in an enduro on SS11 last lap last turn to the straight and I finally make the pass to win. Still havent had as much fun in any race since.
 
I ran the Deustsche Touring Car cup last night in amateur, using my black/white Camaro race car (which looked badass among the Touring cars, like a wolf in the flock of sheep).

I could usually put it on the pole by at least a second. If I started in the lead I could widen the gap without traffic in the way, so I ran the series without qualifying in order to start last and work my way up. It would take me 2 laps to get to the front usually (at least cleanly), and then if I made a mistake they would all pass me like a freight train. I had to run each race several times before winning under those terms. They were pretty aggressive, too; I got spun a number of times by them shoving me off line.

It was a lot of fun!
 
Wow.... That was the race. I had my f094 and just took off on the first lap. Well I was pushing the car really hard so I had to pit in by the fifth lap. One car passes... Two...Three.... by the time I got out of the pits i was in 5th place. I wasnt very hard on the car but I wasnt gaining any positions eather. I said #$#@ it and just pushed hard all the way to 3rd... It took me 15 laps to move up 3 postions. I thought it was fun. Then with 3 laps to go I move up to second place. Tires are nuclear red and Im fighting the car to cary a straight line. On the final turn I edged up on the leader and kinda clipped him using him as an outside wall... I hit hard on the gas and.... SPIN THE CAR OUT! :banghead: Resulting in a finish 8 seconds behind the leader...
 
probaly today with my viper concept also looked like a badass and was totally wooping a Nissan R390 GT1 LM Race car and shoving it of the track! even thought i quit because my tires were wearing and they werent pitting

So 'totally wooping' is probably not that accurate, in a 'whole of the race' sense of the term, right?
 
The TVR challenge race at test course, I purposly set up the car to favor competition, at the checkered flag the top 6 were seperated by around .5 of a second. Even I tryed my hardest, I still lost.
 
Hey, I don't know if it's been said yet, but welcome aboard GTPlanet, Earth. Always nice to see intelligent posters joining up!

I also prefer a tight race to a blowout.
 
In the Formula 1 Championship, In the Laguna Seca race there was 5 laps left, and I was second with about a 6 second gap on the leader. I ended up winning by something like 0,1 seconds. Toughest race I ever had. Another tough one I had was the Seattle race of the same championship.
 
i've had plenty of good races :D

heres a bad one:

in the vitz/yaris pro championship, i went 10 seconds down in 1 lap, and the yaris felt like a slug, compared to my polyphony001 which i had recently used
 
For the best race for me, it was in Pro GT All-Stars, when I used my GT-One race car against another GT-One who tried to take my position away because it wants to be as aggressive as I am. Until after my 14th lap, when the AI GT-One pitted.
 
Gotta be the German Championship in Amatuer...with untuned touring car :gcar:

Does everyone use un-tuned cars in there favourite race? :D
 
Back in the good old days of me and my Ruf RGT when i won plenty of races by .030 secs because of its crappy handling and insane accel when tuned up, but at apricot hill in the F1 GP i finally passed the F094/S in the last turn and won by like .120 secs :eek:

Mine has to be a 4 Player I.Link Race on the Test Course, it was a drafting spectacular. I was using a TVR Speed 12, one of my mates was using a 787b and i had 2 other mates in Toyota GT-0ne Racecars. Everyone was slipstreaming each other and the race was soooooooo close. I lost to my friend In the 787b by like 005 of a second because my gear ratio was shorter than the 787b. If only I couldve saved the replay "THAT DAMN EXCITING TO WATCH" said the guy watching on the 5th linked ps2.
 
Best race so far.

Using a modified RX-8 on the GT series on Beginneer. I was behind a Ford Focus Rally V. for the full three laps. I regained the lead on the last straight. I think SSR11.
 
Definately the Miata Endurance for me...I got way behind in the beginning of that race...and after I finally got the lead, I had to pit...so in the straightaway at the beginning of my last lap I was neck and neck with the AI...ended up winning by less than a second. That was definately so much fun because I had more at stake, because I was sure as hell not going to do that entire race again.
 
My two best races were in Pro mode. The FF challenge and the Vitz race. These were so close races that I won some of them only by tenths of seconds. And no comments on the AI bunping me in every single corner with the Vitz....
