Best way to get started in seasonals?

Still a noob at the game... Made it through the first 3 licenses and most of Professional Series races and some of the Special events.

I wanted to understand what it takes to get started in the Seasonal Events and if they are fun. I see all of the threads going around about the 3x credits so thought I would enjoy the benefit if my skill level warrants getting involved.

Also, what format are these events? Are they races like A-Spec or something else?

Thanks.

Yes they are generally races like the A-spec races.

Probably the easiest to get you going are the Lightweight K Cups.

I agree with XDesperado67. Start with the Lightweight Ks (if you have a qualifying car from the list handy) and work your way around from there. After the Ks, try the FF, FR, and some of the others. They're no harder than races you've already won at the Professional level, as all you have to do is take a stock car in most cases, and just give it the highest turbo and you can beat the field with Sports tires or less. ;)

Good luck and have fun! 👍

The Seaonals and their current payouts will really boost your A-Spec levels, since you are still relatively new playing the game.

If you want send me a message here and friend me on PSN (same user name) and I can send you a fully modified and tuned (to 420 PP) Daihatsu Cuore TR-XX Avanzato R (J) '97. Perfect car to breeze through the Lightweights in.:)

Also that for the most part you can do these events over and over again to get the credits to buy more and faster cars. But you cannot do that on the new impossible one, and perhaps like me, most have given up racing on that event.

The last race in the K car championship is the best bang for your buck if you're racing for credits or xp.

Yes buy/use any K car that is on the list of usable cars for the event and start from there, you will be rich shortly and can buy new cars to use to make it more interesting, then proceed to beat them all you will be super rich and have allot of cars :)

keep expert for last as well as f1 they are hard

Once you get enough money, buy a decent fast car (F1, Enzo, Zonda R...) and go in the Supercar Festival. I can do the Eifel circuit in 5:20 with the Zonda. 490K in one race is a VERY generous sum of money. Do this over and over and you'll be swimming in credits you don't know what to do with :)

I enjoy the Supercar Eifel as well. But the fastest way to earn credits and experience currently is still the Lightweight K Eifel.

And the car I'm offering the OP can run that race in under 2 minutes 50 seconds.

If you're a noob, starting the seasonals will net you loads of money and XP. It would make playing through A-Spec almost meaningless...

Yeah I played on my secondary for about 15 minutes the other day and went from level 0 to level 25. Thats even counting the few Sunday Cup races I had to do to buy a Kei car..

Out of curiosity why didn't you buy a Kei car to start with?

Or better yet gift yourself a fully modified one?

Haha I was just too lazy, and my dad had already started the game and bought a miata /:

pretty much, I had to start the game all again, haven't done a singl A-spec event and I'm lvl29 with 15 milion or so credits, I guess I'll race them just for the fun (and the prizes:sly:)

I guess this is a nice way to start GT Life:

You buy the Fiat 500, tune it lightly (all within the 20,000 cr.), and win 1 race in the Expert Seasonals.

Now you are Level 20 (with 1 race!!), and have almost a million credits, plus a Level 21-ticket, which will award you most likely with a race car.

Now do the current time trials, which are easy to beat with the MR-Clio and e.g. a GT-R (both available together for only 100.000 of your million), and you have another 2 million. Now do the Drift Seasonals with e.g. a Gallardo on Comfort Hards (real easy to drift under control) and you have another 2 million.

Now do the other 2 Expert Seasonals (Level 22 and Level 23 tickets which will award you 2 more nice race cars), and you'll be able to win 95% of races in A-spec and B-spec with the cars you won or had to buy for these races. Thanks to the payouts, you'll have no shortage of money.

I wouldn't torture a new player with those expert seasionals.
Scare them to death about how tough the game is.:scared:

First time posting... I started GT5 just 3 days ago wth the same 1.10 update. I went to the Seasonal Events and very quickly went to Level 23 with 2m cash in just a few races. My question is I did not receive any "Level Tickets" that snowgt talked about. Is this a glitch? Thanks.

Did you come 1st on your first effort..?? I suspect you only get the Ticket if you do, I restarted continually until I could place 1st, never allowed myself to cross the line if I couldn't. Got the Ticket and all the jazzy outfits. I could of course be completely wrong about this...

All the races are pretty much self-explanatory. Really, all you have to do is to check the race requirements and make sure the car you enter match up with them. That's about it. Think of it as A-Spec with more money. Oh and you can only do them while you're online.
