Bowtie's Speed Shop : Ultimate Corvette Collection!

I am currently having more fun going through your favorites list than I am having with the new seasonals. I found that I already had most of them. What I can't figure out is why I painted so many of them blue? đź’ˇ

Your FTO touring car tune is also one of my favorites from your garage. It is good for gold in the Streets of Willow Super Lap!

Thanks to @BenMillard for reminding us of other cars capable of gold times.

Good to hear you are having fun, even better to hear some of those tunes are getting use.:dopey:
Not all are super fast, but some are just fun or at least I enjoy them.;)

Series One Super Charged '03 - 550pp (SH-SS)

These 2 cars above are outstanding for me for the online seasonal races :cheers: and having driving aids off like SFR and no TCS, using my G29 your cars I have used so far are suiting my driving style now :), I don't know why your cars are suiting me better than @shaunm80 and @Jeje6410 tunes that I always use, or is it perhaps the last couple of weeks I have change my driving style a little bit and your tunes are the ones to use now :).

Thank you sir, I am sure that some of it is the cars you trying as well. That Series One is special, it handles well while feeling slow. But when you get to the Finish line, it's 2 or 3 seconds faster than most, kind of like the CSL. Glad to hear you are enjoying them.:)

Garages are like diamond mines, by that I mean, it is different for each visiter. One garage may have some really good cars that work well for some at certain tracks, yet another has cars that work better at others. Take @shaunm80 and I for instance, we tune rather similar, but when tuning the same car the small changes make either his more suitable to a specific track while mine may be better at another. Different drivers also like different tunes to suit there needs. I am sure he will continue, as will many others, to use that wide range of tunes you have in your garage. Keep up the good work you are doing here for the community đź‘Ť

Thanks you very much my friend .
I fully understand what you mean and I totally agree that it varies by circuit and by car. Thanks for your work for this community  . Thanks again my friend :cheers:

So it is not my new driving style and that is good to hear that :), it is the way you tune them up that they are suiting me better . In your post on page 1 you mention this, sometimes will use TC1 until comfortable with the tune, then switch back to TC0 and make final tweaks. I am using no TC with your tunes and they are working well for me, when I used @shaunm80 and @Jeje6410 cars with no TC, they feel a lot different because I always use TC1 on their cars when I used them. When I use your tunes I will have TC on 0 and on Shaun and Jeje6410 on TC on 1 or is it best to have no traction control at all ?.

It is up to you how you use them, I tune with TC0, stopped using TC all together shortly after I opened this garage. So most are tuned at TC0, only use it on some LMP cars but still try at 0 first.

I am happy that you also like @Bowtie-muscle tunes @fordlaser777 , but the last thing any of us needed was something that will make you faster! :banghead:

Amazing how fast he is at his age, I'm a few years behind and can't keep up. Not that I'm slow, just not as fast as him. At least we were born in the same decade, pushes me to try and be a little quicker, but my DS3 is only so fast :(:dunce:

Well said @Bowtie-muscle , I could not agree more. I try to use all the tuning tabs in all my cars. Sometimes a particular tune is better than another on a certain track, sometimes a particular tune is simply the best for me. I managed pretty well with 3 tabs until I tried @Jeje6410's tunes, now I need 4. :)
As far as age is concerned, I am the same age as @fordlaser777 , but much slower. But even though I'm never going to be the fastest, I still really enjoy this game and the comradary here on GT Planet. Like you, my body reminds me of my age every day, but I get a little younger behind the wheel, or DS3 in my case. Cheers to all!:cheers::cheers:

Despite my 43 years, as soon as I touch the DS3 and I play GT6 I feel 20 years younger

Tell that to my body, my head believes that, but.........
You're only as old as the person you feel :mischievous: (Double entendre ;))

When I get behind my wheel to play GT6, all my aches and pains are gone and I feel like I am 18 again, when I finish playing GT6 all my aches and pains come back and I feel old again.

Hey Jeje6410 you mention in one of your posts, you tune your cars with TC0 but I always use TC1 when using your cars and that why I maybe having trouble when using TC0 on your cars. This person that is helping me with my new driving style, say that there is not much difference between TC0 and TC1 and it all to do with the tune which I do agree.

I make my cars with TC 0 and you will see that on the cars there is only ABS 1. It is very rare when I put TC 1 except on some rear propulsion. After I do not think there are many differences but on some cars I think so.

What I think I am going to do is just have TC 1 on your tunes because they work better for me for some reason. @shaunm80 tunes which I have a lot of his cars in my garage are always on TC 1 and they are very good to me .

@Bowtie-muscle tunes and I do admit, I have only used some of his FITT tunes only and not tunes in his garage sorry Bowtie I should have used you tunes a long time ago.

Surprisingly quick for a car that old.
I use your RX500 '70 for the A-spec Intermediate Level Non-Racing Car Challenge: London, this car handles very well and I tried being a bit aggressive with it but it never got loose when using my G29 wheel. Thank you Sir :) for a nice win in this car đź‘Ť.

Lap Times: Race Cars
I have tested a large group of race cars on a custom built track over 3 miles long. It can be found in the track data base, or here. I have also broken the cars done to different classes, like a race weekend, and each will be listed with pp and class. Class list was posted a page or two back, or here. I found most cars to like camber and most have camber, some could be faster without, but I was looking for consistency. Each car was given a max of 5 laps, so some, could have been faster given more. Some I may have had an off session, but you can see how they stack up in my hands with my tunes.
All cars tested on Racing Hard tires.

*If you are interested in trying any tune that is not listed in my tunes post, just ask and give me a day or two and I will try and post*
