In F1 you can see the brakes glow yellow orange hot even in day light its always there in fact around 1000 degree's for F1 300 kmh+ braking points although there is no ABS in F1 still the slicks and car's lightness combined with the amount of down force makes the car never get any of its wheels locked , well they still do lock a bit but only when both tyre and brakes are cold :P

in GT1 FIA division its the same story you could see it visibly in day light even though it isn't as hot as F1's 1000 degree's celsius of F1's

Also there is a problem with the F10 right now the brakes aren't glowing :( more pictures in game / reality of the F10 in my thread on my signature

As you can see on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUmV7RXe-M8
the 599XX glows visibly on day light even on the first 3 laps and then on the last lap the glow was double in color density and the whole disc glowed rather than just a circle glow the whole disc glowed but obviously on the first 3 laps the driver wasn't on the latest and hardest on the brakes but on the last lap he did it the best way and that is what and how you will see it in real life

Did you turn ABS off? It would make it easier to glow if you adjust the brake balance too.

Nope I play with both ABS on or ABS off when I race on the F1 car, doesn't glow for either for the Ferrari F10 at least :( obviously for the F2007 it would never glow because of the carbon fiber wheel fairing on the wheel that made the cars less turbulent but in 2010 season and upwards they had been removed and outlawed by the FIA then Ferrari decided to make an aerodynamic wheel device but it had to be the same composite material as the wheel itself and were dart-like circles so the brakes are still very visible and were still cooled as normal as other F1 cars , and on the rear its still a normal wheel same as all teams. The FIA found out that the carbon fiber wheel fairings made turbulence a lot less but at the same time made drivers less connected and were considerably slower than without the fairings but drivers had a lot harder time without the fairings , in 2010 season Ferrari made an aerodynamic device which again had to be the same composite material as the wheel itself and were dart-like circles to make turbulence in a different way which was believed to increase performance by funneling air on a dart-like circle basis. Other teams wanted to copy Ferrari's but weren't allowed to for the year that the device was made so Ferrari was the only team in 2010 season to have the dart-like circles front wheel device.

and for the race / road cars its impossible to get most out of braking without ABS unless its a very very light car.

and for F1 cars they do not have ABS nor do they need it although F1 cars still lock wheels when they the tyres are cold but when tyres are on condition it never locks its wheels well that's for the F1 car but for road cars and race cars its just doesn't work without ABS in GT5 , they need to work on realistic braking like on the F1 cars they do never lock unless the tyres are cold because with its lightness and downforce not to mention slicks they never ever lock on condition even without slicks actually like before the 2009 season before they even started using slicks again they never locked unless tyres are cold even so if they were cold it wouldn't lock as much as in GT5 without ABS but the F10 I have to say is drivable with no ABS and does the same times as with ABS if you have a pedal but a lot more work to the pedals but it still isn't realistic and they have to be realistic especially on braking.

but the bottom line / real issue here is the brake disc not being visible enough in daylight.

after a small hard brake i managed to get these brakes on the ferrari to go red (just starting to get hot) nd you can see it fine.

Brake discs are glowing even at daylight. The discs of my 430 Scuderia always glow orange while hard braking. But they are not glowing imediately, it needs some meters.

No problems her either. I guess you should try setting the brake balance more to the front.
In all honesty though, I don't really think it should be a big deal. :D
