Hi all,
I haven't used my work computer in the last 4 days. I got in this morning to see that it had been restarted (which usually means it updated itself). I logged on and it said "applying computer settings" and did this for a couple of hours.
After a while it dissapeared and all that was on the screen was my wallpaper. No icons, no start menu, nothing. Ctrl+Alt+Del did nothing so I restarted. I then had to wait 2 hours or so again while it said "applying computer settings".
I am now logged in using safe mode and System Restore says the last updates done were this morning, it was Distribution Service 2.0. I have no idea what this is.
Help please!!

Thought of another question. Is it possible to turn the resolution up in safe mode? This is annoying.

I fixed the resolution, but i'm still working in safe mode.
