IT is that way here at some stations. However, the cheapest place has it about 26 cents a gallon cheaper, at present.

Though, I have seen it 10 cents higher, before all this price gouging.

For the record, My Excursion has a 6.0 Liter Power Stroke Diesel.
1. Yes it is very loud at idle. You will have to shut it down in the drive thru to order your food.

However, sensible sized, modern diesel engines are not that loud. I could maintain a conversation with someone at the rev limiter of my Pug 406 TD.

Because the Power Stroke doesn't use the common rail fuel system, it tends to be quite a bit louder than either the Cummins, or the Duratec Deisels (Dodge and Chevy)
I know that the TDI in the VW is very quiet. I haven't seen a Pug in these parts ever.
And they are now quite rare in the US.

I was thinking about the RSX-S, but I have yet to find one used for under 14k or 13k.

I was also thinking about an Integra, I have a friend who has some nice upgrades and it's really quick, I think they are good on gas too, not too sure.

I'll look for a new car once everyone in my area stops hogging all the gas, I can barely find any ever.

I hate Mustangs......

And i also hate paying 3.50+ for premium fuel.....

Tell ya what I'll drive down to florida, let you test drive my car, and then trade you straight up for your civic...:) hows that sound?
BTW, its got some decent suspnsion and brake upgrades so you should like it for the autocross..... plus i have a nice lil NX kit i could toss in the trunk for ya.... that should up the power from 260hp/300ftlbs to about 350hp/445ftlbs at the wheels....
Let me know if ya wanna do this... I could leave for florida today :D

The mustang... lol the one in my avatar.....

dont worry about it, its been beat to hell, and is perfectly unreliable now... you'll love it... :)

lol, what do you mean it's unrealiable and beat to hell? AS soon as I asked the question I noticed the link in your sig, it doesn't look bad, but I can barely make out the sheet you posted on the pics.

nah it looks fine, but i abused it alot.... (on its third transmission with only about 42k on it)

those sheets are just the dyno graphs.... nothing crazy...

3rd tranny? lol, go you!

**** if you drove it here with a clean title I'd give you my civic for it lol

1 of them was NOT my fault.....

Anyhow.... I say if the civic is in good shape keep that for work and get another car for a toy.... thats what i did.... but now my cavalier is busted and I have to find another car so I'm not stuck driving the mustang thru the winter... :(

Good luck... I say get a clean fox body mustang.... (79-93 )and build it up for street/auto x and maybe even some strip action... but im partial to stangs...

I might just do that, but I don't have a good enough income (I'm 19) to have 2 different insurance payments, espeically if I have a 2nd 'toy" car.

But, the civic is in good condition, and has great mileagle, and doesnt look bad if you like ricer stuff (it's stock).

yeah I had a 4 cylinder ranger that was costing me about 270 a month when i was 19..lol forget it....

now I pay 150 a month for both cars.....
Well, like i said good luck with whatever you decide....

note to Europeans
amerca+desil=forget it

i've had to tell European freinds repeatedly that american on road deisel is total crap. we run (check the pumps at your nearest combo gas station) 40 cetane for the rare deisel car, 42 and 45 for the truckers. the quality is very low, and american deisel engines have a rep for inhaling the stuff at only 6-8 MPG...that's why american rigs run with 2 fuel tanks at 40-50 US gallons apeice. what do we do with the GOOD desil? we burn it as heating fuel, or poke it in construction equipment instead.

as for gas/petrol...
you may wince, but try sticking 89 in now and then, especially in a ford. i get 7 more miles per gallon from a 2 octaqne boost
