Curse your tongue with your muscle car hatred ha. Im a huge believer of a good tune will make any car a fun/toreable driver

Not to steer off topic but I don't think old muscle cars were ever meant to be great on technical circuits. To me they were meant to look badass, go fast, get on an interstate and let the engine scream like a madman.

Or pull up to a stop light and challenge Harrison Ford to a drag race.

Back on topic: VW Nardo under the "going to kill you" category.

Yup,go straight, blast off a line, and sound effining mean. Gotta love em. Unless your talking about a superbird, thats orginal nascar there. Among various other beautiful muscle cars of the past

I'm surprised the muscle cars handle as well as they do on sports hard. And where's all the steering play?!! lol!

Guess I should try 'em on comfort hards, maybe that would make 'em more like real life.

Yep. That's it. :sly:

Old muscle cars aren´t suppose to handle like new plastic little sportscars. That´s the joy of driving one.

What´s the point of having all the 1000 cars, if they all handle the same way?

Abarths in real life are known to be quite mental so atleast I am bothered to try it out at some point. Also Silvias are quite nice little FR cars so will bother to try atleast some of them. :P

Good point. That's why most muscle cars should stick to going in a straight line.

The BMW M3 or the 458 Italia... there's joy in driving those... not muscle cars... :)

Cars that are trying to kill you whenever they had the chance :
RUF CTR Yellowbird
RUF RGT
RUF BTR
Cizeta V16T
Mazda 787B
Lancia Stratos (especially when offroad )
Toyota MR2 '86
Nismo GT-R LM (may just be my own setup of it though)

Cars that are too easy to drive and abit "grey" (not necessarily a bad car):
X2010/11 (when you haven't mastered it)
Anything too low powered on too high tyres

Cars that need to be driven like a maniac and give you a big smile (fun cars):
Lexus LFA
Volkswagen Schwimmwagen
Volkswagen SambaBus
Mini Cooper 1.3i
Alpine A310

Cars that are just great to drive:
Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2
HKS CT230R
GT by Citroen Race Car (when not in onboard view)
Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car (with no power limiter)
Honda Integra Type R RM
Lotus Elise 111R

Cars that interest you but drive rubbish:
HKS CT230R (pre spec II)
Caterham Seven Fireblade
Bugatti Veyron (handling only)

Audi R10 TDI (speed only (for its class))

Cars that you are not even bothered to drive:
Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo
Subaru Impreza
Subaru Legacy
Subaru 360
Nissan Skyline GTS

Cars that are good but not great:
Most other things not on the other lists

Cars that are to be driven like old lady:
Anything with Comfort Hards on if I'm not drifting

There we go.

@trombone
IMHO the alfa is not hard to drive

@C-ZETA
The RGT drives beautifully and it's a 996 GT3 💡 abit weight reduction and I have the GT3-RS

Here's my opinion on old muscle cars, they look interesting but to race it on a track it's crap (hide behind a wall)
However it's good to show off, pick up chicks

Actually, I'd say there's more joy in taking a muscle car round a track like the 'ring, IMO it's too easy to drive either of those anywhere, muscle cars are a real challenge in comparison, but then again, maybe it's just me :)

Haha funny thread idea and I agree pretty much on all the picks you made.

I was able to tame most of these beasts though: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=222154

Don't feel like driving the Yellowbird, EVER, again though.

Oh and maybe you should add an "annoying" category. Well, actually it very mucb fits into "it intrests me but is rubbish" category.

The F40 would totally fit in there. You just have an amazing lap with it, everything feels fine

and you're going like: "yeeaahhhh come on a few corners left"...

...then you notice something's just not right...

...and you're off the track!

And you only go like:

The yellowbird tries to kill you when there are corners because no one realizes RUF built the car for one specific purpose that they foresaw as crucial to motorracing in all of their glorious foresight:

GO FASTER THAN OTHER CARS IN LIKE THE WIND ON TEST TRACK.

That's all I've ever used it for. Ever.

So I drove the toyota 7, with TCS at 5 even then I still have to drive it very carefully, that car understeer entering corner and easily oversteer exiting corner, have to modulate the throttle very carefully.

The X2010 I could drive it pretty well with 50% power limiter, with full power I'm just all over the place sometimes not to mention it has the worst turning circle ever

I agree with the classifications for the Evora and Spirra.

I am very aggressive with my Evora and it's all for it. It just wants more. (The tires, though, don't like it.)
Do the same with a Spirra and I'm spinning in no time.

TVR cerbera speed 12!! It won't just try to kill you, it WILL kill you!!! It accelerates as fast (if not faster) than the veyron, and it's turning ability is severely dependent on how fast you're going... It's scary!!!

Have a look at the Fiat Barchetta and the Ferrari F40. The F40 tries to kill you, but it is brilliant fun.

I keep hearing people say how good or how fun the F40 is but I just somehow couldn't say the same. The long gear ratio and the turbo lag :yuck:

After watching the latest fifth gear episode where vicky reviewed the 458 spyder, I just couldn't help but get into my 458 in gt5 and have a drive, damn I love that car
