I feel your pain. It was only available to the US market. I managed to get a code and I have the car on my US account. Won't work with a PAL game though.
You had to buy a certain type of shaving cream. Then redeem the bar code numbers on the website then they would e-mail you a redeem code for GT5.
At the time I used this shave cream so i ended up buying a bulk pack of like 10 of them from Sam's club and gave a lot of the codes to people for free.
Indeed, or at least I tried to. I ended up with about 30 or so codes during the promo, and gave and traded a bunch away. Then my PS3 YLOD, and I fell from GT5 for a while. By the time I made it back, I gave the rest away but none of them worked, as they had already expired
In a perfect world, yes. But this car cannot be shared unfortunately. I had one on share for the longest time, only to learn none of my pals could use it 👎
Edit: I realize now you were not referring to the glitch share, but rather an actual account share. Very naughty, and against Sony's ToA.

I have every car that has been available to those in UK - which I understand that means I have cars others cannot get. But I think that every player (with an internet connection) should be able to access every car!

By the time i was really into getting free cars since i didn`t spend enough time on GT5 to make real Credits. Anyways at least a got a really rare car so it was worth the shoot.
It wouldn't have mattered anyways, since the offer was for PAL region only. Us states guys weren't able to play. Just like our pals across the pond were unable to get the edge Camaro. Bunch of tomfoolery if you ask me
