COLIDJ FUTBAWL.

No matter what team(s) you support, Enjoy this fine Saturday of college football! Don't forget there are also games to be played on Sunday and this Monday as well.

Enjoy this weekend's games!

Twenty minutes to the Dawgs kickoff.

Hopefully it goes better than the Bison game did.

Today's musings are as follows...

* This new SEC on ABC graphics package looks lovely.

* Georgia had no problem with Clemson. Them top-ranked UGA Bulldogs tamed the Tigers 34-3 in Atlanta.

* Florida at The Swamp... well, got swamped by the Miami Hurricanes. The Miami Hurricanes left Gainesville, FL with a 41-17 to one of their in-state rivals. This is the largest season opening loss in the University of Florida's storied history.

* From "The U" to the U of U. The Utah Utes won 49-0 over the visiting Southern Utah Thunderbirds.

* Hey Dolph Drago... Boiler Up! Also winning 49-0 were the Boilermakers as they smacked the Indiana State Sycamores.

* There was a good game between Virginia Tech at Vanderbilt. The game would have been over had it not been for a shanked field goal by Vanderbilt. The Commodores of Vandy took down the VT Hokies 34-27 in Overtime.

* The Colorado Buffaloes held serve at home on Thursday against the North Dakota State Bison 31-26 in beautiful Folsom Field. Much to the chagrin of our good mate, TB.

* The University of Houston got whacked by the UNLV Rebels at home 27-7. Houston has been on the Struggle Bus since going from AAC football to Big XII football. This is an awful loss for one of the proudest football programs in America.

* Sam Houston State took down Rice hard- 34-14. The Owls somehow couldn't find a way to shut down the Bearkats from Huntsville.

* The Texas Southern Tigers defeated the Prairie View A&M Panthers 27-9. This snaps a nine(?)-year losing streak to the Panthers of PVAMU in the Labor Day Classic.

* Penn State at West Virginia had a long weather delay. When the game resumed, the Nittany Lions from Happy Valley were incredibly happy to knock off the West Virginia Mountaineers 34-12.

* OWNED! Ole Miss put 76 on the Furman Paladins for a 76-0 demolition.

* The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers ventured into Tuscaloosa, Alabama to meet the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Hilltoppers took a massive 63-0 loss.

Congratulations to all of this week's winners! Better luck next time to all losers.

It was a rather entertaining contest last night as the No. 23 USCal Trojans played their first game as a Big Ten school against the long-time SEC school, the No. 13 LSU Tigers. A late touchdown gave USCal the upset over the Tigers with a 27-20 victory.

Tonight, we have...

~cue "Monday Night Football" theme~

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL! ...but it's college. An ACC Showdown is coming up tonight in Tallahassee, Florida. The Boston College Eagles will swoop into Tallahassee to meet the No. 10 Florida State Seminoles. Florida State is looking to bounce back after being stunned in Ireland against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. If Florida State fails tonight, I don't want to hear about Florida State's Playoff hopes unless they somehow become ACC Champions.

Enjoy tonight's action!

At least Penn State looked a little better. I know its only one game but hopefully the change in OCs will help open up the offense.

All i really care about is can we beat Ohio State or Michigan

Penn State usually is a solid football team. Easy Top 25 team most of the time. But as I'm sure you're aware, CommanderBond, you can't be a contender in the B1G unless you defeat Ohio State and/or Michigan. I think Penn State will have a good season as long as they keep playing some winning football.

On a sad note, spare some thoughts for the Abilene Christian Wildcats. After almost stunning the Texas Tech Red Raiders, ACU's team bus was involved in a crash, injuring four people. A young drunk driver was responsible for causing that crash.

It was 28-13 in favor of Boston College upsetting No. 10 Florida State. Unless Florida State wins the ACC Championship, they're pretty much done as being a National Championship contender. Remember last year that Florida State were upset they did not get selected to play in the College Football Playoff. Then as a result, they were literally a no-show in the Bowl Game they played in. The Seminoles are pretty much over.

On the Boston College side, however, I just remembered Bill O'Brien is the head coach of Boston College's football team. I will never forgive Bill O'Brien for him basically trying to screw over the Houston Texans while he was coach of the Texans. This sort of disdain made me a bit skeptical about O'Brien as BC Eagles coach.

Anyhow... that's all for this week. Get ready for Week 2!

HEADS UP!

There were no games on yesterday, but there are games tonight and especially tomorrow. ESPN2 is showing BYU at SMU right now. Enjoy this week's games!

Since I lived in Georgia, I've recently started watching Bulldogs games when they air up here. Fortunately, I get both the Dawgs and the Bison games tomorrow. :D

Enjoy Saturdays the way they were meant to be enjoyed- with college football! Follow as much action as you can or cheer on your favorite college(s). Enjoy today's games!

Bro - what happened to Michigan ?? Clobbered by Texas.

Penn State pulled out a win over Bowling Green. Thank god.

Currently watching Iowa / Iowa State. this game is a dog fight.

I know Texas is 3rd in the nation and Michigan 10th, but I was expecting Michigan to put up more of a fight than the 31-12 fail they endured. Michigan didn't play like a defending National Champion. The Longhorns went up to The Big House and simply outclassed the Wolverines all day long. It was an awesome win by the Longhorns.

Those are my only musings so far to share.

Here are my latest musings on college football lately...

* Last night, BYU was 4-0 all time against SMU. Make that 5-0 as the BYU Cougars won at the SMU Mustangs 18-15 on Friday night.

* Can you believe it? No. 5 Notre Dame got upset at home by Northern Illinois! The Huskies pulled off a HUGE 16-14 win today.

* The Cy-Hawk Trophy will go to Ames, as the Iowa State Cyclones downed the No. 21 Iowa Hawkeyes 20-19.

* Indiana broke their all-time scoring record as the Hoosiers defeated the Western Illinois Leathernecks 77-3. The previous record for scoring by Indiana was when they defeated Franklin 76-0 in 1901. Western Illinois apparently has the longest losing streak in NCAA Division 1, now having lost 26 straight games.

* It was 23-12 in Salt Lake City as the Utah Utes defeated the Bears of Baylor University.

* A win is a win. The Nittany Lions of Penn State held on against the Bowling Green State Falcons 34-27.

Not a good day for Jordan's Kentucky Wildcats. They got smashed at home 31-6 to the South Carolina Gamecocks.

* 21-20 was the score in Auburn, Alabama as the Auburn Tigers lost to the California Golden Bears.

Congratulations to all other winners!

Yesterday was not a good day for Tennessee college football fans.

Bulldogs over Tennessee Tech 48-3

Bison over Tennessee State 52-3

I apologize in advance for the loss this coming Saturday, @Jordan.

Time for a new set of musings from me. Check it...

Losing
Among the losses from college football this past weekend:

  • No. 10 Michigan falls at home to No. 3 Texas
  • Colorado loses bad at Nebraska
  • No. 5 Notre Dame loses at home to Northern Illinois
  • Idaho defeats Wyoming

I was most stunned about Michigan's fail against Texas. I was just stunned as to how little a fight Michigan put up against Texas. The Longhorns literally had their way with the Wolverines.

Week 3 Schedule
Let's talk about this upcoming week of college football. A lot of rivalry games, including in-state rivalries, make up most of this week's schedule. So let's talk Week 3:

* We have what I am calling the "Wildcat Bowl" on Friday night- @Yard_Sale 's No. 20 Arizona Wildcats at the No. 14 Kansas State Wildcats. It's up to the "Little Apple" for Arizona's Wildcats heading up to Manhattan, Kansas.

* Also in Kansas is the Kansas Jayhawks hosting the UNLV Rebels. This is another Friday night match.

* After knocking off Kansas at home last week, the Illinois Fighting Illini will host the Chippewas of Central Michigan.

* Wisconsin has a HUGE test coming up. The unranked Badgers welcome the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide. This game will be the big match on FOX this Saturday at Noon (Eastern time).

* Michigan, now 17th in the nation, will try to get back into winning graces when the Red Wolves of Arkansas State visit The Big House.

* The Florida State Seminoles seek their first win of the 2024 season when the Memphis Tigers visit Doak Campbell Stadium.

* The Civil War comes early- No. 9 Oregon is at Oregon State for an afternoon showdown. The Beaver State's two premier schools clash.

* The Apple Cup also starts up early in the Evergreen State. It's the Washington State Cougars going to Seattle to take on their hated rival Washington Huskies.

* More in-state rivalry action coming up! It's the No. 12 Utah Utes going on the road to meet the Aggies of Utah State.

* Notre Dame got stunned by Northern Illinois at home. Now an in-state rivalry is coming up for the No. 18 Fighting Irish when they visit @Dolph Drago 's Purdue Boilermakers.

* No. 16 LSU heads out on the road to meet the South Carolina Gamecocks.

* Texas A&M won't have the 12th Man Advantage when they go out to The Swamp to meet the Florida Gators.

* Get ready for the Backyard Brawl! It's the West Virginia Mountaineers ready to battle the Pittsburgh Panthers in Pittsburgh.

* Basketball powers meet in football. It's the Connecticut Huskies battling the Duke Blue Devils in Durham, NC.

* Can @Omnis ' Florida Atlantic Owls down their rival Florida International Golden Panthers at home?

* Oh, boy... @Jordan 's Kentucky Wildcats, after getting rocked by South Carolina, will host the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs next. It 'Cats 'n Dogs in Lexington, Kentucky this Saturday night.

* Houston pride is on the line as the Rice Owls meet the Houston Cougars in this cross-town rivalry. About five miles separate these two schools. Houston stayed with Oklahoma losing 16-12. However, can Houston FINALLY win a game this season when they host Rice?

* @TB 's North Dakota State Bison will be at the East Tennessee State Buccaneers.

* A rivalry in the SWAC is coming up as the Southern Jaguars are at the Jackson State Tigers. Jackson State, you may recall, was once coached by "Primetime" Deion Sanders, who turned Jackson State into a beast football program in his short tenure.

There are MANY more games this week than what I discussed in this post. I hope you all get to enjoy some college football this weekend regardless of whatever games interest you.

Texas and Oklahoma in the SEC
I am curious as to how Texas and Oklahoma do in the SEC. Texas has proven to be pretty good so far. The Longhorns are now 2nd in the nation. Their first SEC test will be on September 28 against Mississippi State. The rest of the schedule for Texas will be all SEC teams: vs. Oklahoma, Georgia, at Vanderbilt, Florida, at Arkansas, Kentucky, and at Texas A&M. As for Oklahoma, their first SEC test will be against Tennessee. Afterwards: vs. Texas, South Carolina, at Ole Miss, Maine (non-SEC), at Missouri, Alabama, and at LSU.

I can see Texas and Oklahoma both making the field of 12 for the College Football Playoff. Now, Texas won't be playing Alabama, and Oklahoma won't be playing Georgia. So things might even out taking on arguably the toughest of the Power 4 conferences- the SEC. I think the advantage to Texas or Oklahoma depends on who wins the Red River Rivalry between them.

Whew... that's a lot. Now I've set you up for Week 3 of this college football season. Any thoughts of yours are more than welcome to be shared.

I was so focused on the basketball team earlier this year, I forgot all about Purdue's football team aside from Charlie Jones beings the punt return man for the the Bengals. Apparently they walloped Indiana St. over a week ago 49-0. Notre Dame is now ranked #18. I bet they're going to come out mad.

Tonight on the ESPN networks, we have the Arizona State Sun Devils at the Texas State Bobcats. There is also Northwestern State at South Alabama. Enjoy tonight's college football action, including any other games you're interested in this week!

South Alabama exorcised some Demons. The Northwestern State Demons were whacked 87-10 by the University of South Alabama Jaguars. This is the most points put up by an NCAA FBS team since 1991. OUCH!

[UPDATE] It was 87-10, not 82-10. Changes made.

If college football is your jam on Saturdays, then get ready to rock out to another fine Saturday of college football. Cheer on your favorite teams and enjoy the experience(s) only college football can provide vs. pro football. Even go to games you want to see in person. No matter what, enjoy today's games!

As per usual, I might check in with some brief thoughts on today's action. You all are free to talk about the college football you've been watching recently.

The Bison come back from 2 scores down in the 4th, a successful onside kick and an interception with 17 seconds left to beat East Tennessee State 38-35.

Now on to the Bulldogs and @Jordan's Wildcats.

Let's talk college football!

* This season's playoff hopes are over, Florida State. Man, has this team fallen from grace since last season. Not making the College Football Playoff last season may have broken the Florida State Seminoles. The Memphis Tigers went into Doak Campbell Stadium and defeated the Seminoles 20-12. These guys still are winless on the season after being a Preseason Top 10. Their next game is at home against California.

* Alabama ran over the Wisconsin Badgers in Madison, WI. Alabama scored 42 points in their previous game vs. South Florida, and they followed that up with scoring 42 points at Wisconsin to win 42-10. In two weeks time, Alabama is going to get tested- they host the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs.

* Last night in the "Wildcat Bowl," it was the Kansas State Wildcats that wrecked Yard_Sale's Arizona Wildcats 31-7 in Manhattan, Kansas. Up next for Arizona is a Pac-12 reunion at Utah.

* The game between South Dakota at Portland State was cancelled because of an outbreak of whooping cough among the Portland State Vikings' football team. For South Dakota, meanwhile, the Coyotes will host the Drake Bulldogs.

* Rivalry action in the Hoosier State ensued as Notre Dame met Purdue. Notre Dame was up 42-0 at halftime at Dolph Drago's Purdue Boilermakers. This game ended up in a 66-7 win for Notre Dame. It was the most points scored by Notre Dame in a road game since 62 points at Army in 1963(?). Ouch...

* The No. 12 Utah Utes won on the road against one of their in-state rivals, the Utah State Aggies, 38-21.

* More in-state rivalry action happened with an early Civil War. The No. 9 Oregon Ducks took care of business with a 49-14 victory at the Oregon State Beavers.

* The Apple Cup was on the line as the Washington State Cougars won at the Washington Huskies 24-19. Both teams headed into this game 2-0.

* The Colorado Buffaloes won big at the Colorado State Rams 28-9.

* Omnis' Florida Atlantic Owls won at home against their rival Florida International Golden Panthers 38-20.

* In-State rivalries? Let's do an crosstown rivalry! It was an easy money win for the Houston Cougars over the Rice Owls. The Owls got destroyed 33-7 for Houston's first win of the 2024 season.

* More Owls! This time- Temple. The Temple Owls lost to another pack of birds- 28-20 to the visiting Coastal Carolina Chanticleers.

* The Backyard Brawl between West Virginia at Pittsburgh went to Pittsburgh. The Panthers won over the Mountaineers 38-34.

* Michigan, now 17th in the nation, tamed the Arkansas State Red Wolves 28-18. The Wolverines are coming off of getting outplayed by Texas last weekend.

* Speaking of Texas, the Longhorns had no problem with the visiting UTSA Roadrunners. It was an easy 56-7 victory.

* The Florida Gators were looking to swamp the Texas A&M Aggies in The Swamp. Turns out... it was Texas A&M doing the swamping. Th final score was 33-20 in Gainesville, Florida. University of Florida fans were proudly suggesting "Fire Billy" after this loss. The "Fire Billy" is directed towards coach Billy Napier.

* 99 problems, but Golden Flashes weren't one for the No. 7 Tennessee Volunteers. Kent State got owned 71-0.

* From Friday, it was the UNLV Rebels winning 23-20 at the Kansas Jayhawks. UNLV is no 3-0 on the season and added another Big XII team to their victims list (won at Houston earlier this season).

* Jordan's Kentucky Wildcats had upset on the mind at home against the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs. Unfortunately, Georgia escaped Lexington with a 13-12 victory.

* The Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee State got topped by the visiting Western Kentucky Hilltoppers 49-21.

* The Toledo Rockets improved to 3-0 on the season with a massive 41-17 smashing at the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Congratulations to these and other winners from this week's games!

Let's talk Week 4. We have a new No. 1 in NCAA FBS- the University of Texas-Austin Longhorns. So the voters don't think the Georgia Bulldogs have the lasting power to be tops in the nation after being nearly upset at the Kentucky Wildcats. More games for this coming week will be discussed right now...

* The Nebraska Cornhuskers will host the Illinois Fighting Illini in Prime Time on Friday night.

* THE Ohio State University is 3rd in the nation and will host the Marshall Thundering Herd. Can the Thundering Herd upset the boys of Buckeye Land?

* A Carolinas battle will ensue as the Wolfpack of North Carolina State look to shock the No. 21 Clemson Tigers in Clemson, SC.

* A couple of disappointing SEC teams will clash when the Florida Gators play at the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

* Many people know Villanova University for having a baller men's college basketball program. Well, not many know this school for their football, and they are pretty good at it. The Wildcats will face a tough task hoping to upset the Maryland Terrapins in College Park, MD.

* Former Conference USA and AAC schools clash in the Big XII when the Houston Cougars meet the Cincinnati Bearcats.

* The North Dakota State Bison look to stampede over the visiting Towson Tigers.

* The Virginia Cavaliers will go down to Conway, SC to challenge the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers.

* The Big House is going to host a big match. It's the No. 18 Michigan Wolverines against the No. 11 USCal Trojans.

* Northern Illinois is... ranked? NIU is No. 23 after they upset Notre Dame at Notre Dame. The Huskies can keep up their Top 25 if they can defeat the visiting Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

* The UCLA Bruins are going to the No. 16 LSU Tigers for a little game of football in [Louisiana]'s Death Valley.

* The No. 12 Utah Utes look to Ute-ilize their offense when they go to Stillwater to take on the No. 14 Oklahoma State Cowboys.

* Want an Iron Skillet? A Dallas-Fort Worth rivalry will ensure when the TCU Horned Frogs go to the SMU Mustangs for DFW pride.

* The Miami Hurricanes will go across the state to meet the South Florida Bulls.

* Omnis' Florida Atlantic Owls will fly their way well north to take on the Connecticut Huskies.

* Florida State has been hot garbage so far in 2024. Maybe the Seminoles can turn things around if they bean beat the visiting California Golden Bears...

* Northwestern University will go northwest to take on the Washington Huskies.

* Welcome to the SEC, Oklahoma! ESPN College Gameday will be in Norman, OK this week, when the Sooners will host the No. 6 Tennessee Volunteers.

* Will the 12th Man Advantage be on the side of the Texas A&M Aggies when the Bowling Green State Falcons come to College Station, Texas?

* After disposing of Colorado State, the Colorado Buffaloes will host the Baylor Bears at beautiful Folsom Field.

* Dolph Drago's Purdue Boilermakers will hit the Pacific Northwest and meet the Oregon State Beavers. Hopefully this game goes much better than the evisceration Purdue took last Saturday hosting Notre Dame.

* Staying up late this Saturday night? Then check out the Northern Iowa Panthers playing at the Hawaii/Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors!

* Finally, one game is kind of personal to me. The Texas Southern Tigers will play at the Lamar Cardinals [in a game I thought was going to be played last week]. I been to Texas Southern and graduated from a High School program there. I used to be a Lamar University student. You know it's tough when you go to two schools and have to choose one or the other if they played. When I used to go to Lamar, the school didn't have a football program, though they do have a football field.

Whatever games interest you this week, go enjoy some college football this week! Enjoy this week's games!

Go enjoy some college football this weekend! Tonight, we got some good old Southern football as the South Alabama Jaguars will play at the Appalachian State Mountaineers. Enjoy this and any other games that interest you this week!

It's Saturday. Time to enjoy some college football! Get your food and drink(s). Go see some action with friends and/or family on TV. Or even better, go see a game in person. Whatever you do, please enjoy the awesomeness only college football can provide.

Enjoy today's/tonight's games!

It can be tough keeping up with college football, but we can always pick out individual stuff. Let's college football, mates!

* All four Houston universities lost today, and all on the road. Houston lost at Cincinnati 38-0, Rice lost at Army 37-14, Texas Southern lost at Lamar 20-17, and Houston Christian lost 45-7 at Texas-San Antonio. I knew the Coogs were going to fail, so I didn't see a lot of this game. Still, sad Saturday for Houston college football. :(

* Welcome to the SEC, Oklahoma! Oklahoma takes on an orange team that starts with T; but it isn't Texas, it's Tennessee. The Sooners hosted the No. 6 Tennessee Volunteers for their first SEC conference game. And... it didn't go so well. It was a 25-15 victory in Norman, OK for the Tennessee Volunteers.

* The Florida Gators snapped their losing streak to FBS teams by winning 45-28 at the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

* North Carolina football ought to be ashamed. Today, the UNC Tar Heels got blown out by visiting James Madison. The game saw a total of 120 points, and it was the James Madison Dukes winning 70-50. North Carolina would beat James Madison by that much in basketball. For this football game, however, JMU just clowned UNC. Seventy points is tied for the most points North Carolina has ever allowed in football.

* Should we start taking Northern Illinois seriously? The NIU Huskies are part of the awesome MAC conference and are ranked No. 23 in the nation. Sadly, the Huskies lost in Overtime to the Buffalo Bulls 23-20.

* No. 21 Clemson smashed North Carolina State 59-35. The bigger story here, though, is that Clemson University knocked down its 800th in in football history. Clemson is the first ACC school with 800 wins.

* Jordan's Wildcats did good in a 'Cat Bowl today. The Kentucky Wildcats won at home 41-6 against the Ohio Bobcats.

* The No. 19 Louisville Cardinals improved to 3-0 on the season as they defeated the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 31-19.

* Marshall gave the No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes, but the Buckeyes prevailed big with a 49-14 victory over the Marshall Thundering Herd.

* The Maryland Terrapins had no problem taming the Villanova Wildcats 38-20.

* The Big House saw a big match as the No. 18 Michigan Wolverines hosted the No. 11 USCal Trojans. It was the Wolverines who reigned supreme in this one with a 27-24 victory.

* The No. 14 Oklahoma State Cowboys hosted the No. 12 Utah Utes, and the boys from Salt Lake City left Stillwater with a 22-19 victory. This is Utah's first game and first win as a Big XII member against a Big XII team.

* The No. 16 LSU Tigers doubled up the UCLA Bruins 34-17 in Baton Rouge, LA.

* 73-17 was the score as the Pittsburgh Panthers demolished the Youngstown State Penguins in Pittsburgh.

* In Jacksonville, Alabama; the Jacksonville State Gamecocks easily handled the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles 44-7. Southern Miss is the alma mater of people like Brett Favre.

* The Connecticut Huskies grounded Omnis' Florida Atlantic Owls at home 48-14.

* Fordham falls to 0-4 on the season as the Rams lost at the Dartmouth Big Green 45-13.

* TB's Bison of North Dakota State had no problem beating the Towson Tigers like a drum. 41-24 victory for NDSU, improving to 3-1 on the season.

* Here's an upset for you... NCAA Division 2 school, Clark Atlanta, defeated Bethune-Cookman 38-37. The Panthers improve to 3-1 on the season while the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats fall to 0-4.

* The Nicolls Colonels beat Mississippi Valley State like an FBS team. Nicolls won against the Delta Devils 66-0.

* The Monmouth Hawks upset the Florida International Golden Panthers 45-42 in Miami.

Congratulations to all other winners this week!

Week 5 is next in college football. Let me touch on a number of the games to be played this week. You all can tell me of any games you're interested in should I have not mentioned them:

* Army will meet Temple in Philadelphia on Thursday night.

* The Washington Huskies will play in Prime Time on Friday Night at the birthplace of college football- Rutgers University. The Scarlet Knights hope the fans in Piscataway, NJ can see their team down the Huskies. Or maybe the Scarlet Knights will "Bow Down to Washington?"

* Jordan's Kentucky Wildcats have a huge test in front of them. The 'Cats from Kentucky will be at the No. 6 Ole Miss Rebels. I do remember long ago when Kentucky beaten (then) No. 1 LSU in the 2000s. Maybe this Wildcats squad can pull the upset in Oxford, MS...

* The Little Brown Jug is on the line as the Minnesota Golden Gophers play at their hated rivals at the No. 12 Michigan Wolverines. This is the oldest trophy in college football, dating back to 1903.

* Dolph Drago's Purdue Boilermakers will host the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

* The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers want to try their luck at shocking the Boston College Eagles.

* James Madison clowned North Carolina on the road last week. What will the Dukes do when the Ball State Cardinals visit Harrisburg, Virginia?

* In-state rivals, Texas State and Sam Houston State will clash. The Bobcats look to top the Bearkats of Sam Houston State.

* The Wisconsin Badgers will head out to Los Angeles to take on the No. 13 USCal Trojans.

* No. 15 Louisville (or "The 'Ville") will go play at the No. 16 Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

* Now No. 21 Oklahoma will play their first SEC road game at the Auburn Tigers.

* Colorado had a wild win last week against Baylor. Now, the Buffaloes will venture out to Orlando to meet the UCF Golden Knights.

* The greatest rivalry in college basketball will be played in football, when the North Carolina Tar Heels will play at the Duke Blue Devils. No Michael Jordan or Christian Laettner in this basketball on grass match, but the Victory Bell is on the line.

* Birds of different feathers meet in Boca Raton, Florida; when Omnis's Florida Atlantic Owls take on the Wagner Seahawks.

* The. Ohio. State. Buckeyes! Ohio State is third-ranked in the nation and will be playing at the Michigan State Spartans. Can Sparty stun the boys from Columbus?

* We got a MASSIVE Top 5 match coming up. We got the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs paying a visit to the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide.

* CommanderBond's Penn State Nittany Lions will host an upstart No. 19 Illinois Fighting Illini. Will Happy Valley be happy after this Saturday night showdown?

* The Land of Enchantment is ready for rivalry action. It's the New Mexico Lobos playing at the New Mexico State Aggies.

* Boise State is ranked for the first time since 2020. The No. 25 Boise State Broncos will have the Washington State Cougars playing on the "Smurf Turf."

* Yard_Sale's Arizona Wildcats are in for a tough battle when they go to the No. 10 Utah Utes.

* There is a four-way tie in the Missouri Valley Football Conference as four teams are 3-1. Two of those 3-1 teams play each other this Saturday. TB's North Dakota State Bison will hit the road to meet the Redbirds of Illinois State. Who will improve to 4-1 after this one?

Many more games with many more teams this weekend, but I just wanted to touch up on some of the many. You don't get this much madness with pro football. So go enjoy some college football this week!
