*No bonus points for pole or fast laps

Scorekeeping and awarding of points
Race 1: will recieve up to 16 points for a 1st place finish on down;
Race 2: will recieve up to 16 points for 1st place finish on down.
point from both races will be totaled to reflect total points earned for the event.
Perfect night will total 32 points.

**Note: points values may be separated by .5 due to averaging odd and even points/placements (This note was in use up through Event #4 while 3 race format was in use)

Points Tie Breaking Policy follows same policy as Snail League shown below:
In the event of a tie at the end of a race night, the driver with the highest single race finish will be awarded the tie breaker. If both driver have the same best finish, use the second best finish. 2 wins would beat 1 win and 1 2nd place finish or 1 win and one 2nd place finish would beat 1 win and 1 3rd place finish. The driver who wins the tie breaker will be awarded .1 point on the score sheet only for the purpose of breaking the tie for that night. The .1 point will not count toward the season championship.

Driver Classifications
Different Tire compounds for each driver classification will be used to help equalize the pace of the driver talent levels.
Platinum Drivers:
-Upper 1/2 of Snail Driver's List
-will use Racing Hard (RH) Tires
-BLACK painted mirrors and Spoiler winglets, and black Cup Challenge numberplate with white numbers

Gold Drivers:
-Lower 1/2 of Snail Driver's List
-will use Racing Medium (RM) Tires
-YELLOW painted mirrors and Spoiler Winglets,
and yellow Cup Challenge numberplates with black numbers
-Gold Classed driver pace on Race Medium tires should nearly match the fastest Platinum Classed drivers or slower.

What if the Snail Driver's List is an odd number of Divisions during driver placement/season start?
*Recently archived and current race data from the Snail Sunday night series will be used toward placement of active Split Division Snail drivers.
**New/Ex Snail drivers with limited or old data, and New NON-Snails will be required to run a control time trial for placement.

Driver Classification will be reviewed month to month, and will be amended as needed based on driver performance on previous race event(s).

3.) Team and Team Livery Related Information Hub

Race Teams
Race Teams will be comprised of at least 1 or more drivers with a limit of 3 drivers/team.

Linked below, are multiple Real World Race teams from the Yokohama Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA with car numbers associated with those team's liveries. You must chose to race for one of these teams, and then may chose one of the options below:

OPTION 1: Upon choosing a Real World team at sign-up, select a pre-rendered livery if available , or anyone who would like to race and re-create a real world car livery that is not pre-rendered under the team and number you select may do so and is encouraged. Please be sure to include this intent in your post to join/participate in the series.
https://porschegt3cupusa.imsa.com/teams
OPTION 2: Upon choosing a Real World team at sign-up, you are welcome to create your own livery with your choice of sponsor, however, the team logo or decal of the team you sign up for must be used on the car as well and placed as instructed. Also, you must use a number not listed from any real world Race Team liveries listed below. Please avoid contradicting sponsors when creating a custom livery. (Example: Yokohama is this series tire sponsor, avoid other tire manufacturers as main car sponsor. Yokohama livery would be ok.) Please be sure to include this intent in your post to join/participate in the series.

Note: ALL listed team's logos/names will be created and shared for use within the series. Sponsor decals for replica/recreated liveries will be your responsibility. (PM me if anyone needs help)

Once you are signed to a team and the season officially starts, you will race for that team for the entire season. You may sign to a new team for the next season if you choose.

Teams/Drivers - See this link for car pictures: https://porschegt3cupusa.imsa.com/teams
Note: Any additional, older/ special event car liveries/colors you can find under the selected Real Race Team Number is allowed to be rendered and raced.

Team Standings and Points
The points earned on a race night from the top 2 scoring drivers of each team will be totaled to reflect the Team Points awarded for the event. (3 driver teams will drop the lowest scoring driver's score). If only One Driver of a Team is present on race night only those points scored will count for that Event's total team points. Top 6 scoring events of the 10 Event race schedule will be kept to reflect Season's Team Points Totals. Any penalty points incurred by a driver for an Event will be applied to his contribution to the team score only. If points deducted exceed his points scored, his points are Zero. (First 2 Events have been adjusted to this scoring standard.)

Example: (3 Driver Team)
Driver 1: 32 points
Driver 2: 24 points
Driver 3: 27 points
Total: 32 points + 27 points= 59 Team points
*Teams Standings will be kept on a seperate spreadsheet page during the season.

4.) Penalty Information Hub

Penalty Process

Drivers may file incidents after the last race on Friday race night to Monday at 8pm est of the same weekend.

Penalty filing instructions
-Submit your incident(s) by filing via pm to the Chief Steward, all supporting stewards, and the offending driver by including the information listed below.
List of Stewards and Volunteers
II-NOVA-II (Chief Steward)
TheRaceReviewer (Steward)
Fudman420 (Steward)
Drummer79 (Steward)

Incident filing PM's must include the following in this order for each incident to be accepted:
*Tag: 4 Stewards and Driver you are filing against
*Conversation Title: "Your PSN ID": IR filed against "PSN ID of driver you are filing on"
*Include the following information in the report:

-PSN name of the driver being filed against
-Your PSN name
-Race Number the incident occurred (Race 1 or 2)
-the lap number that the incident occurred
-the time the incident occurred (Use time posted in the middle of the screen)
-description of the incident being filed

(Multiple offenses filed on the same driver may be included in the same group PM)

The offending driver may plead his/her side within the group pm by 8pm est Monday, 10 days after the night Raced.

After the 1 week rebuttle period has ended,(Monday 8pm of Race weekend to the following Monday at 8pm) the Chief Steward and/or any support stewards will review all incidents filed and submit a ruling in the respective incident group pm by 6pm Friday of the next race event.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD AN INCIDENT BE FILED OR DISCUSSED IN THE MAIN THREAD, IN RACE, OR THE INGAME LOBBY. IF THIS OCCURS, A MANDATORY UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT PENALTY OF UP TO 50 POINTS WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM THE SEASON'S TOTAL, AND A 2 WEEK SUSPENSION FROM THE SERIES AT THE STEWARD's DECISION AND DISCRETION

**No Self Reported Incident Reports will be reviewed. It is up to each one of us racers to hold each other accountable for on track performance. If you feel strong enough that an incident should be filed on an offending driver, I encourage all drivers to do so at their discretion.**

The Stewards will be utilizing the penalty guidelines set up and used within the Snail Spec Racing Series. Follow the link below for:
Penalty judging Guidlines
All Stewards are to review a replay of an incident in question and reply to the PM with their opinion as to what "Level" the incident falls under, and a recommended point value within selected level to deduct. Penalty Points may be halted if sufficient on track concession was shown, however, no penalties will be halved for self report.**Again, Self Reported incidents will not be reviewed**
*The Chief Steward will make a final review of all incidents filed, taking into account any rebuttals and the other Steward's grading of the incidents and will make a final ruling for issuing penalty points.

**Please Note: If the Chief Steward deems, in any way, the lead driver lost control, and the chase driver attempts to brake or evade, but still makes contact, no penalty may be issued at the Chief Steward's discretion. **

At a 10 week season's end, the results sheet will be reviewed for each driver. All repeat offenders of the rules of this league will be reviewed by the Chief Steward and Steward Corp on a severity and case by case basis. If the review reflects a consistency or lack of improvement, the Chief Steward may recommend removal from the series by a peer to peer judgement .

Penalty points will be shown in the Overall Season Standings Scoresheet and will be deducted from the event score it was recieved and from following event scores until cleared.

Initial interest - see how it goes.

I’ll sneak an eye in on this. But, I’m committed to the ARL for the time being. It’s a really good league that runs the same time as your implying here.
The day is open for conversation for Friday or Saturday, and time is certainly up for options as well, so as not to interfere with other events series.

I'm interested as well. Saturdays are usually IRS days but I'm not sure what day of the week the next series will be. Fridays would be better (for me) just to be safe.

I have reviewed the Series Details and would like to compete in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge-presented by Snail.
I choose to race for Team: Flying Lizard Motorsports

I'm definitely joining! Just to be clear: we have to use one of the numbers that you listed and is still available, right?
Only reason I'm asking is that the number I'd prefer isn't in the list. If I have to pick one of the available numbers that's totally cool, just wanted to make sure.

Thanks that helps.

Select Team: JDX Racing
With: Car No. 29
Using: Personalized livery and number under selected Real World Race Team

(Note: I didn't see JDX Racing in your list but I did see it on the the site you linked to. I like their logo so that's why I picked it)

Awesome. I'll add JDX to the list of available teams. Welcome aboard. Once we get a few drivers, I'll work up an impromptu shake down night.

So I'm interested in this series but I don't do the livery thing. My snail liveries have consisted of the 3 cars with matching paint and numbers and that's it. I've just recently figured out how to apply a snail logo to the car. I just get frustrated and go race. Is there anyone who loves to do liveries that might lend a hand getting it all setup?

Hi Fudman,
This is a big reason why I have given a 2 month lead in before the series start; to give plenty of time to create liveries, and get a few trial run exhibition practices in along the way.
I thoroughly enjoy creating liveries, and would be glad to help you out with one, and anyone else for that matter. (The car at the beginning of this thread was a livery I scratch made with the help from the decal request thread creating the angry mouse). Pick a Team to race for from the list linked below.
https://porschegt3cupusa.imsa.com/teams
Take a browse through the different team car liveries and post your commitment post as instructed with chosen team number and car here in the thread. (Be sure to view the list in the Team Hub section of the first post to be sure the number you are choosing is not taken). You will be placed in a driver class and your name will be dedicated to that team and car number for the season. Give me a few days and I'll have it made (as close as possible), and then shared. I'll PM you with a direct link to get it. Glad to see you interested.

Using: (Real World livery/liveries associated with chosen number)

If it's easier to create a new unique livery nova I have no objections. I just picked the team based off the number since its the same number I run in snail.

Glad to see your interested. You do not necessarily have to pick a number/car livery on the list. You can select a team to race for, and use their number and car livery, or you can create and use your own personalized livery and number of choice, as long as it's not a number on the list of teams, and you place the chosen team decals on your personalized livery on the doors or quarter panels, opposite a sponsor. Hope that answered you correctly.

Looks great!. Awesome color and theme. Couldn't tell, but be sure you have the "Porsche", and "GT3 Cup" decals on the rear rocker if you haven't already. Otherwise, it's perfect. Nice job.

Oh right, that's this: "-"PORSCHE" nameplate on rear, and "GT3 Cup" decal directly below it."
I wanted to ask you about that but forgot. I'm not sure what you mean here. The way the rear looks at the moment:

[Racing# / GT3] [Yokohama license plate] [IMSA / American Flag]

GT3 is below Racing#, American Flag is below IMSA.

I'm not sure where you want me to place "Porsche" and "GT3 Cup", do you have a clear image of the rear of a car that has this correctly?

Never mind, I'm an idiot. I see what I need to do here. I'll add it and reupload.
