Control Laptop Fan Speed? (No SpeedFan)

Well about last month one of my laptops, the Dell 5150 died. Got too hot and fan just wasnt at full speed for some odd reasons. I have gotten it to boot back up and even once to the point where I got on windows but it just died again. Now its all hope is lost. I tried freezing the CPU and MOBO, with putting in freezer, then spray crap load of canned air and it boots up sometimes but still shuts off. Replaced the thermal glue, cleaned fan, heatsink and what not and still nothing.

SO rite now I am using the Hp Pavillion DV1411SE for what I used the Dell for. Its a pretty good damn laptop and no problems with heating expect sometimes it gets a little WARM. Now what I wanna do is just take precaution and install a fan control program. Make the fan run at 25-55% fan speed at all times. I know of Speedfan as I used it for a long long time....but it doesnt work on the HP Pavillion DV1411SE. It shows the temp and everything but no fan control option or fan speed, anyone have any suggestion? Thanks for the help guys!

Is there ACPI on that mobo?

Check in the device manager.

Hey whats up Skip/Nick? Long time no talk buddy. I am usually on AIM/GAIM in the weekends. :) Yes there is ACPI on the mobo. Also the OS is XP. Its my dads or else there would be a Linux Distro on it hehe.

I own a 5160 and I had a fan speed program called "I8ku fan GUI" or something along the lines of that.

I think thats only for Dell's no?

*EDIT*

Yeah, I8kfanGUI is only for Dells. It's a good piece of software I use on my constantly overheating Dell.

I know of one other program that looked good that worked on my father's Vaio, but I cannot for the life of me find the name of it on Google again. It was something Monitor. Heart Monitor maybe, but no decent results come up...

Ya I got that on my Insprion 9300. Also is the program your talking about Motherboard monitior? I tried that but no settings for the fan control in there either. Also I tried Notebook hardware control but there was no option to see fan speed let alone control it in there as well for some odd reason?

*EDIT*
I think I found out whats wrong. I am using Notebook Hardware Control and in there I was messing with the settings and I noticed that I had to configure the ACPI. How the hell do I do that? There was no option for settings or anything so I am kinda clueless on this.

Here is some more "indepth" information of the motherboard and CPU.

Hardware Monitor? Temperature Monitor.

Only 2 monitor programs I've found.

Tried those two rite now and doesnt work. :( None show the Fan speed at all either.
