CRAP Club PCARS 2 Time Trials - Thanks for taking part everyone, we will return one day!

Had a couple of quick runs in the Ginetta over the last couple of days, so I might as well start things off...

Had my initial go, a fun little car!!

1:19.640 for starters.....A car you can really chuck around, into those corners! Slowly getting the hang of things again after being away for a month.

One other time on the PS4 leaderboard so far from @nosoks, 1:21.813!

Let's get some more times on the board fellas!! Go for it, great fun!

Well, had another run at it earlier but no improvement - a couple of times I was 3-4 tenths up on my best through sector 2 but for the life of me I couldn't even get near my best in sector 3. Coram into Murrays is a 🤬...

@Outspacer you're spot on, momentum is the key here - you can gain or lose or huge chunks of time depending on how well you exit a slow corner. Fully expecting the Hamster and/or the Moff to make us both look slow of course :D

Here's a quick bit of a dangle in place of a better time - might get one last go at this tomorrow night depending on when I get back from Brands.

Some great times so far chaps, I hope to have another last go tomorrow before we end (Sunday night remember). ;)

This try I picked up the chunk I'd left in S3 before, but wasn't as quick in the first two sectors :banghead: I think my current theoretical would be 3 tenths quicker, but all things considered, I'll take 4 hundreths!

@gregc - Melbourne, Brundle/Nelson and Coram/Murrays all catch me out to some extent. I've had great passes through each but cannot reliably do any of them. The positive is that I'm losing a bit less each time I get them wrong (unless I simply run out of road, which happens) - which would be great for a race but not so useful for hotlap. So yeah, sadly I fear I'll be made to look slow in the end.

Had another go, and:

1:18.761, couldn't get to grips with this one for some reason. No matter what line, or slow in fast out, but that's the way the cookie bounces at times lol! :P

Tricky indeed! :P

Really well done guys with some fantastic times this week. Results up soon, followed by the new PCARS 2 TT! :D

New time, with a middle sector so much better than anything I've done before and no idea where it came from... 1:17.417. Was just about ready to call it a day on this one, very glad I didn't :)

There's even a couple of mini-dangles in there, watching it back

Very well done to you all for having a go, and some great times from the top 2, but @gregc just pipped it in the end, very well done mate! The next PCARS 2 is coming up in a moment!! ;)

The new PCARS 2 CRAP TT is:

The 1997 McLaren F1 GTR Longtail at Sakitto GP!!

Conditions:

To be done in “Time Trial” mode using stock setup (if you have a saved setup for this combo, please return it to “default” before trying, as times with the “setup used” symbol will show in the in game timing screen, and won’t be counted!) You can use "loose" or "stable" setup, and driver aids if you wish! Post an in game screenshot of your time and post it here for it to count. This TT will end next Sunday night, the 14th of April, good luck!! ;)

I knew I was going to have trouble with this combo - whenever we've run a GT1 before I've always found them tricky, and I barely know Sakitto at all. At least I didn't before - I'm now very familiar with various bits of armco and gravel trap around the place... I've also discovered that a good speed sensitivity setting on the pad for a little Ginetta is just a little on the twitchy side for the Macca - that wasn't helping!

Anyway, I'll kick things off, though it's not a great time (still over a second off the pad record for starters) - 1:38.861

Just got this recently after getting a wheel, was going to run a few of these but i just can’t get the FFB right, I use a TGT and some cars feel great others horrible. In particular at low speed and high speed, can’t seem to get a feel it’s so oddly light and high speed tiny movements seems to jerk across the track.

Anyone got any tips? AC feels perfect but this just feels wrong most of the time!

I get you gregc lol.....The kerbs are deadly on the exits of the fast corners at Sakitto, more so in the Macca!!

@Venster I use a TM T150, and recently started using these settings on my wheel, and it's felt much better since then. The screenshots are from another thread here where I found them, they're in Spanish, but I'm sure you'll be ok imputting them. "Puro" is "Raw":

1:36.998! Just snuck her into the '36s!! Nailed all the apexes more or less, and took a deep breath around "130R"! Good fun! Sadly, the game crashed when I quit the session again, so I'm not sure if it saved the time.... :(

A time from @nosoks too:
