I like the track and don't even mind the car but the combination.............EEK. Think I'll join Greg in the bar to watch this
 
After 2 hours of cutting corners and spinning out...

Switched to 'Stable' setup as well, was only having a problem with spinning at the hairpin after that. The other really tricky bit for me is keeping it steady through the last two corners - takes ages to recover if it gets squirrely coming down the hill into that part, lost a few laps like that!

Overall though, I quite like this combo :D

Got a 1:38.3 I think after like 10 laps. @Outspacer time is great. Really fast. The car sound and behavior are awesome though.

Thanks mate! I'm not sure how long I spent on it though - first try (with loose) was probably about 10 laps and only got me 1:38.6. Second try was interrupted by Valve Index update, resetting sound output, and fiddling with SS settings... perhaps an hour or so of actual driving. I suspect that doing the run with loose first helped even after switching to stable! Quite a few kerbs can be used which gains a good bit of time through the first few corners, all the way to the hairpin in fact.

(if you have a saved setup for this combo, please return it to “default” before trying, as times with the “setup used” symbol will show in the in game timing screen, and won’t be counted!) You can use driver aids if you wish! Post an in game screen shot of your time and post it here for it to count, Good luck!! ;)

This TT will end next Sunday night, the 8th of December.
 
Any complaints can be sent my way! I don't think we've done either the Mono or Barcelona Club before, and on a very quick recce it seemed like they each have a little bit of challenge in them to get the best times, without being PITA difficult. Hopefully fun, and close times :)

The wheel is back on top... for the moment! :D I might get a little bit more with another try, but probably not much. Shame the tyres go off so quickly - still a lot of restarting even though it's a short course.

I love this car :bowdown: and this track.

42.273 for me now, there's a 41.something in there but putting the lap together is hard - one of those tracks that's easy to learn, but could take quite some time to master. Almost up there with Knockhill for me, and that is high praise!

@gregc - Just about to have another go, have to say I like this little track a lot but I love your lap :bowdown: Really smooth, unlike my over-driven ham-fistedness :mad: When I did the sighter to choose a track (already fancied driving the Mono somewhere) I thought the second half of it had a certain something and challenged the Mono to bring its best :)

Thanks man, very kind 👍. The second half of the lap is a proper challenge but with a really nice flow if you find it. Which took a lot of laps and not a little luck! Funny thing is I've never liked the Barcelona GP track, but this little bit of it is an absolute gem.

Have a good run - but not too good :P
 
Great times fellas, and yeah it's a fun little track in the road cars, the old Escort is a lot of fun there too!!

Thinking about tbe next combo, a question for everyone - do we all have the DLC packs? There's a combo that I quite fancy but needs the Porsche pack specifically...
