Sidenote: None of this is directed at you. Just general thoughts on the matter.
I have my own opinions regarding chase cam...not worth getting into, so let's keep this simply about the lack of a rear view mirror. IMO it's a huge liability with online racing. You are effectively driving blind vs those of us with mirrors. I see this constantly with drivers (not directing this at you) who use chase cam and are CONSTANTLY complaining about "dive bombers" who weren't actually dive bombers at all, they got alongside prior to turn in, but the lead driver with chase cam didn't see the driver jump to the inside. Had they used a view with a rear mirror they would have seen the move coming/happening in real time and adjusted accordingly. I would rather you have rear view mirrors than not, because i would rather you know I'm about to be on the inside than have you turn in blind. In tight racing, this will make for much cleaner racing. A lot of these "incidents" I don't believe to be intentional, they are due to a lack of information regarding cars around them.
I understand that it may not be directed at me, but I'll give more of my opinion since it refers to a point I brought up. I understand the lack of a rear view mirror & how the mirror would be helpful. However, for as long as I've been playing racing games, some of them had no camera view other than chase cam. So, I have over 2 decades of driving from the chase cam POV. Those of us who are "experienced" enough remember playing Pole Position. Yeah, no adjustable view there. Anyway, I have become also acclimated to using the quick toggle to view behind me. But, the question you have to ask is, where do I look? If I want to cut a good line, do I watch the track or the rear view mirror for a disgruntled driver? You still have to cut the proper racing line. If the GT-R driver was such a better driver than I, he/she could have gotten around me with proper racing technique. If you watch the replay which got this whole conversation started, I had to check up in the corner prior to the contact which got me a penalty. Now, the Nissan driver already knew he/she made a mistake. They also knew that they made a mistake at the left on top of the hill. In a competitive field, your mistakes let other cars get closer. Contact was made, but in no way was it intentional. After 2 blunders, don't you think that maybe you should slow down a few feet sooner? And what shows the bad sportsmanship is his/her willingness to dive bomb someone, planning to use them as an additional set of brakes & tires.
This has taken a while to write & I went & looked at the replay. He is using a DS4 controller. He missed his braking point & was still on the full brakes when I was at my accelerator pickup point. He made his braking point into turn 1, but chose to duck inside. He likely caught a tiny sliver of my draft as he pulled up behind me. But, considering that he was braking when I was accelerating, it sure seems like he wanted some revenge. Also, he started 2nd & while trying to pass a 911 for the lead, the 911 swerved over into him. I'd get a bit pissy over that. On lap 2, the Porsche tried a late braking maneuver going into the uphill right just where I caught up to him. The GT-R went into the gravel & 3rd place. After he has contact with me, on lap 6, he is chasing another Corvette that got 2nd when he was in the gravel. He bumps the Corvette on the downhill run leading to the same uphill right hander. He puts a move to the inside in the braking zone. He's halfway along side the 'Vette & the Corvette turns in on him. Corvette pushes wide into the gravel, no penalty. The biggest difference to me is, the Corvette he had contact with on lap 6, he was 50% beside the Corvette. He had the position & the corner. When he had contact with me, he was 100% behind me. He did
not have the position, he was not entitled to the corner.
Unfortunatly at my current DR, qualifying on anything else than the meta/near meta means i get shafted to the bottom of the starting grid.
Sometimes, you've got to go meta. It worked for me a few weeks ago at Big Willow. Got more pole positions that week than all my previous races combined.
The problem with RBR is that it's an advanced track and, as we've been discussing this week, most folks are below the level of novice. It's a terrible track for Race B.
I have mixed feelings with RBR in race B. The last time it was in the dailies, it was Gr. 4. It was a demolition derby. My DR & SR got destroyed. Before that, it was Gr. 3. It was nowhere near that bad & I won a race that week. Probably one of my most exciting races. I planned to have a few races there this week.
*Full disclosure: I ran into Sven's car about 3 times this morning.
Because it's your fault.
It's advanced in the sense that you have to be smarter than a neanderthal to figure out when to brake so you don't pile into everyone else trying to go through the corner.
Get into MT, it's about time! I caved in and after a while (twitchy thumb aside) it becomes second nature. You use x for gas right?, so why not use the bumpers for shifting. The best thing about MT is, that if you have to adjust a little mid corner, instead of lifting, up shift early, saves time at corner exit and you can just keep your finger down on the gas. Also having control of what gear you are in in a corner adds a lot of stability.
That's how I used to drive. I did also use TCS 2. TCS really only hurts in tight cornering where wheelspin on RWD cars caused me to fishtail.
I use M/T for most of the slow races, like race A. On some tracks, I'll use it in Gr.4 cars, too. I haven't used it enough in the faster cars, with more gears for it to become second nature. I'll probably try the M/T some at race C, this week. I'll be mostly be using the old cars, which only have 5 gears, and they probably don't even need to use 1st.
MT: more control over the car. 'Nuff said.
I probably wouldn't bother with any Gr.1 races anywhere else.

There are buttons you can do to look to side.
For Race A, this week with Mazda Roadster Touring Car on Tsukuba, why is it that we can’t use the car from our garage if we have it? I don’t need a car provided for me if I already have it. I’d like the kilometres added to my owned car, not counted for five laps on a specially provided car and then deleted.
Plus, our liveries are better than the default.
Should I buy the group c Porsche or 787b first?
Rn only have group c Nissan or Merc...
Others have stated a case for the 787B. My case is the banshee howl at full throttle.
