Daytona 24H Time Trial - Can you beat my time?

@Pigems Sadly not, only options are timing info and camera settings - it's not like online lobbies where weight and power information is visible - but I'd love to be proven wrong, if you can show me how.

I have actually looked at his replay several times, and sincerely doubt he's running stock - this guy has been playing for over 600 days and is still in the low B's (DR 13636) and his qualifying history is nothing to brag about.

Or could it be a controller vs. wheel thing? @GT5Power mentioned how he prefer using a controller instead of his wheel in high down-force cars because of extra traction available.

That was the option I was thinking about, like how you can see it in a lobby, I thought you could in replays too for some reason? I’ll check. 👍

Just went through his lap and mine, here’s how they break down apex for apex. It looks legit, but how the heck is he carrying so much speed?

Honestly guys, I'm not sure what to do.
On one hand, NIN165 is someone I know, he has a few SnowRunner world records. I see no reason why anyone would cheat, especially as I asked him multiple times if he is running stock settings and RM tires. He even shared a screenshot of his tune, it is stock. Another dude also got a mid 55. The lap NIN uploaded was also not his final time btw, he got a .2 but he doesn't have the replay. I asked him to upload a lap, and that is the .6 he posted. Hybrid could also have an effect, maybe cooldown laps or BB. Plus maybe a standing start before the last corner to take it flat, you can take it like a rocket if you get it right.
On the other hand, like many of you have said, he is carrying way too much speed, and the DR profile as mentioned. He is on a wheel.

First attempt / motion steering

Definitely a 56 there with better exits out of the hairpin and double left-hander.

Low 55s?
Nice, noted.
TT closes today btw.

HOLD UP.
Gonna update this post in a minute.

EDIT- He is using non-stock power and weight. Damn it.
I clarified the rules many, many times but he's somehow managed to use max power/min weight. I guess he didn't watch the video at all, or maybe he took BOP is off=you can modify power/weight?
I dunno, I told him many times that the only settings he could change were TCS and BB, will look into the other 55 too.

That makes sense, I tried it with just max downforce and it didn’t do much. I tried it with a tune as well and got nothing much more out of it. I just tried it with Max power and Min weight after seeing your post and got a 55.8 on the first lap. 👍
Can you do me a favour? Could you check if BOP on is the same as 100/100 or not?

I was going to say, my primary areas of concern were the 10 mph speed differential between the two of us in turn two, as well as the fact I took turn nine faster and was still slower on the proceeding straightaway. I didn't want to straight up make an accusation of cheating but that's awfully unnatural in my experience. I would also hazard to say that the other low 55 second lap is invalid, but that can't be proven without a replay.

I know I'm not the fastest driver in the world but I am not that slow either. Can't trust my K' stats as I don't race in sport mode but a league I race in does have a world finalist for the FIA Gran Turismo Championships, and I'm not a full second slower than them at this track as seen by the qualifying results below from a last year.

Completely missed the boat on this one and have missed the dead line but that’s ok. As a 919 fanboy I couldn’t resist a few laps anyway.

Managed a 56.9 after about half an hour, I was hoping to give it another go later last night but time just seemed to escape me. I think I could it a 56.6 if I put another 30mins or so in. A really hard combo, T1 really is the devil and then managing wheel spin through the final sector is key to a fast lap.

Good fun though, will be keeping an eye out for future TT’s 👍

So NIN165 has shown up with a 56.397. @Pigems suggested a live lobby verification, so I'll get that done. Whatever lap time he gets in front of me will be accepted. I'll have BOP on, RM tires, and no tuning.
Apart from that, video should be ready by today, with full results from all platforms.
@Kermit_2142 noted, nice lap!

@Hasnain282 We've been planning to revive TPC Time Trials for a while now.

Check back soon in the Online Racing and Leagues section soon for more TTs!

The max down-force is to mask the altered power/weight settings - otherwise the top speed before T1 would make it way too obvious he wasn't running stock.

Never noticed this before. I will take a look.

Excellent, can't wait.

100% recommend, it’s where I honed my skills to get somewhat fast

WRS have some great TT’s, but they always use Hard tires, which gets old after a while, even PD has finally gone to softer compounds recently. :)

Racing Softs in the latest one ;)

Thanks again to you and @Bambi for putting in so much leg work to ensure that guy cheating was found.

I find that harder compound racing tires (Hards and Mediums) feel better in most cars especially with tuning but that's just my opinion.

Yeah, it all depends on the car, there can definitely be too much grip as well, it makes the suspension fee all soft and bouncy. But Sports Hard on N400-600 it just not fun, or RH on Gr.3-1.
