First note that I have the NTSC-US Version and yes I have already researched many other threads:

So, I was buying certain cars in the normal dealerships (not used car sections) to build up the number of cars in Arcade mode which had started with 240. While doing the dealership purchases does anyone know why these 7 cars below are in the dealerships but can't be purchased and marked "Not For Sale" ?

Honda N360 '67
Mazda Cosmo Sport (L10B) '68
Nissan Skyline 1500 Deluxe (S50D-1) '63
Nissan Bluebird 1600 Deluxe (510) '69
Nissan Fairlady 2000 (SR311) '68
Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R (KPGC110) '73
Nissan Silvia 240RS (S100) '83

Below are the cars I purchased in the dealerships to build up my arcade cars. I have already completed the game 100% and all the prize cars (for the most part) boosted my arcade from 240 to 378. It should be noted that the Audi Streamline I won didn't make it in and the GT40 I won with "no" strips didn't make it in and there might be other prize cars that didn't get in. I want to build up my arcade and now with the below I'm up to 515 cars. I realize there are a bunch of "used" cars missing, but I'm only interested in adding dealership cars that are not already in the 378 car arcade. So, here are the dealership cars I added boosting to 515 cars and I would appreciate any GT4 gurus chiming in with any I might have missed ? Again these are "net" of any cars that were already in arcade after game completion.

EDIT ADDED... I forgot to add I only purchased the minimum 32 cars required to complete the game...

Some of those (if not all) appear at various times in the used car dealerships. Try to find a list/database of what used cars appear on which days.

Thanks Dave, but I already know that and as my thread reads I am only interested in dealership cars for arcade, so I was just wondering why those 7 cars are even in the dealerships in the first place since they only can be purchased used. I hope the thread is not to confusing that way and that was my initial question.

They're not the only ones. I guess just to let players know they exist?

Thanks for the replies fellas... I still can't figure out why PD selected just those 7 used cars to put into the dealership as new, but unavailable to purchase. The only thing I can think of is they're all old cars of JDM heritage that was part of the deal so to speak. 5 of them especially being that of Nissan. But then I thought why then did PD make the old Nissan Skyline Sport Coupe (BLRA-3) '62 available to purchase. Of course it is a Skyline right lol. Anyway, for the record here's a list of the minimum 32 cars I previously mentioned that I had to purchase to complete GT4...

Dodge Ram Sport Truck
Daihatsu Copen Active Top
Daihatsu Midget II
Honda Civic 1500 3D CX '79

Again, I can't find a list anywhere of "Dealer Specific" cars that need to be purchased for arcade. If anyone has one or link that would be great and appreciated for sure. I saw some Pal one, but there were some various errors it, had a bunch of used cars, and it wasn't NTSC-US so I passed.

As @Epic B said, it's just to let people know those cars are in the game and showcase them to some degree, in a way it's not much different to how they showcase certain cars the dealership that you can only win.

Which is something every GT game did before too. The first game had the Dodge Concept car on display in the dealership, GT2 had several prize-only cars on display in the Special lots and GT3 also showed some off too. GT4 does this too but also with used cars. But not with the Formula GT, which is hidden entirely from view.
