Define "Drift God"

Tsuchiya is the Drift King. Which, in this situation, is a fitting title.
If I were asked to define the term "Drift God", I would have to describe it as someone who is infinitely consistant (never makes a mistake), and smooth, maintaining a perfect racing line and exiting every drift by rotating the car on it's center just in time to have both side tires make contact with the rumble strip simultaniously.
A single physical entity with such baffling, awe inducing talent that a driver of even the slightest experience could determine that this fated person's skill level will never be equaled.
And with these words; I describe myself.
Now bow in praise of my mastery.

So you mean someone who can win a race by drifting? the only way I see someone winning a race with drift is by having way more power
and just smoking the other cars on the straight but,, If you compared the Cornering time. the grip drivers would be going faster. So that would mean the person isn't winning the race by drifting... Thier actually winning the race by the straight. Since they have all that power. Now if the person had the exact same power as the other guy and skill. Then maybe .. But there so many factors. Anyway grip is still faster then drifting.

this topic is about defining "drift god" true that "drifting isn't about winning races either" (ExBrock), but if someone can under all circumstances, then being titled the "drift god" is suitable. it shows that the drifter has control, technique, and speed.

Depends on the course, it's not always faster, say since this is a GT forum, how many of you play through a course grip driving, then find say 1 out of all the corners on the track you can braking drift approach then power through a lot faster, it's not showy at all but it's fast.

haha. you have to live up to the name you have.
isnt if fun to try to prove that drift is faster than grip? it improves technique, control, and speed (of course). i finally got one good lap around deep forest II in easy arcade mode with sims. its frustrating because the stupid ai keeps on getting in my way, but its also a good thing because it forces me to drift faster so i can get ahead. theres a lot of turns so its hard to get ahead. that's 1/infinity of a step closer to obtaining the title "drift god" haha.

Another point I want to say, I stated earlier in this thread or another that if you took two cars with the same specs and with two drivers with the same skills, and one driver drifted and the other guy griped. The grip driver would win. But if you take a Mini Cooper and face it against maybe a 300hp Car that drifts. not only would the mini cooper lose because it would be so slow threw the corner, But it wouldn't even prove drifting was faster. things would have to be equal.

There's no person that can be considered a "drift God" rather you could say you were posessed by the drift god is like a day when everything just works out right. You can tweak your drift anyway you like and have a great line and speed... u know... takin out a car u've never even touched before and driftin it like you've driven it for months
