Did your seasonal races have their expiration dates changed?

I noticed today that the seasonal races that were set to expire this week have been changed.
They are now all changed to the 23rd of March.
My location is North America.

Has eveyone else had the same thing happen?
Do you think we'll see new events before the 23rd?

They have been changed due to the recent disasters that struck Japan so it is highly unlikely we'll see any event in the meantime till things have settled down hence the delaying.

yeah, i noticed that too. in light of all that they're dealing with, it is nice to see they're still thinking of us. at least we'll have something while things settle down. i'm perfectly content with allowing as much time as they need to return to something as trivial as a video game. but thanks for the extension in the meantime pd!!

Suspect we won't see much updated for a while - many more important things to do at the moment than update a game...brings a bit of perspective really.

Indeed. The people at PD have plenty of other things to be concerned about.:indiff:

Gran Turismo is not one of them.

Concur. Just the date change says something in spite of all that is going on.

Like others have said, I imagine it's due to the conditions over in Japan. It's still amazing that they took the time to even change the dates. Bravo, PD.

With the new update, I think I noticed a new menu song or two over the weekend, as well. There was one with strings that was unfamiliar.

There has not been a change to the dates, they are the same as were orginaly depected. I had those dates since they were released and you can look at my reflection of those dates on my "Seasonal Events Winners" thread. I have not changed anything except the dayly date for the update and when the event closes I show who on the forum finished the higest. Other then that "No Change"

I'm glad they where extended anyway, I only just started doing the f2007/2010 races and just finished it yesterday and gonna do it some more. I think it's the best race series in GT5 so far.

I like them too. Driving the F10 is so fun.

They changed from 17th expiry to 24th after the events in Japan. There's no argument here, you're wrong.

From my understanding, at least half of PD has been "at work" for the past week?

Anyone have official news that they're not? Remember, there are two studios.

Well, someone somewhere is at work....the dates changed. But, I really don't think anyone on the planet is worried about that right now....

But if they do update something, we need to stand up and applaud the effort.

We can just keep doing the Ferrari Seasonal events....I have done them all three times in the F10....maybe I should now purchase a 2007.......

Remember, both studios are the same block. My company in Tokyo was closed on Friday (blackout), Monday (high radioactive level), Tuesday (more blackout).

Also remember, the Japanese server received some damages. I assume they are either repairing the server and/or transferring it to the US if they are at work which itself is a question mark.

For what it’s worth we were talking about two different things that were similar. All my stats deal w/ the tt’s and drifting not the “Generic” Seasonal A-Spec stuff and the OP didn’t differentiate his global references to the entire event list. Since all I document is the stuff that deals with declared participants and their positions as well as how many gave it a shot my depictions are without reproach. If the dates changed on the A-Spec stuff I’ll give you your due, but my information is rock solid and did not change.

I said races not trials. I thought that was enough to differentiate between the events affected.

Also, for everyone else, I'm aware of the crisis in Northern Japan.
Please don't have misconceptions about my motivations for this thread.
Thank you.

Indeed.

However, posting a message in the news section would not hurt. Wold it?

Then again, this is PD, what am I expecting?

Cease business activities so your employees can try to get in touch with family members who haven't been heard from prior to the disasters, or pacify whiny video gamers?

You, sir, have just failed.
