Cease business activities so your employees can try to get in touch with family members who haven't been heard from prior to the disasters, or pacify whiny video gamers?

Don't be dramatic. There are plenty of Sony employees in other parts of the world that could take five minutes to write up a quick news post. PD could flick Jack Tretton the code to make a post, and he could whip something up in a coffee break. No big whoop.

Nobody's trying to make light of the Japanese disaster, but the truth is that there are people outside Japan that can take over the day to day for the PD employees.
