Does the Chaparral 2J still appear in the UCD?

This blighter has alluded me twice, once in UCD and once in online dealership. I've saved up the money (99% complete) but I still have not ever seen it since in the UCD.

Does it still do the rounds there from time to time or is there any other way to get it bar doing the duplicate accounts/1970's trick?

It does take a long time to filter through! I'm sure someone would be able to share the link to that website that will calculate how long it will take for it to appear! If you want to you could grind out of a 1970 ticket!
 
Ooh... there's a calculator website thing? I actually just picked up the 2D on the first time of seeing which makes me think GT6 may be out by the time the 2J rears it's head again.

This 1970's ticket thing... is this the trick where you make new accounts with a different birthday or something?

If my account was working :grumpy: I would send you one!

Basically you make a new XMB account and a new PSN account with the birthday set to
Today or tomorrow/1970 and when you log onto GT5 with that account you get a 1970 ticket! You would then dupe it to your main account and use the USB trick to grind it out of the ticket!

Sounds a bit complicated for me ha. I think i'd like to get it a legit way, either via trading with other users or UCD. I don't need it for any wins (Did the B-Spec Monaco about a million times with Bob in a Toyota 7)... just really for my collection :)

I would like to see this calculator site thing though, sounds interesting.

I'd go on the Market place and try to get a few 1970 tickets in return for something! Also, what levels are your bobs? I am looking to get some people who need there bobs raced!?
 
I have Bobs on level 40, 38, 37 and then two more lower down. I've completed B-Spec apart from seasonal races. Just chasing the "peak of career" trophy now!

I'll have a gander in the marketplace, see what I can snatch up.
 
Try this handy website. You put in your current UCD lineup and the car you're looking for and it will tell you how many in-game days you are away from getting the car.

Wow, cool. I'll give that a bash now. Sods law says it'll turn up now, just after a blew a few million on the Audi R8 Le Mans in UCD :p

Cheers for the offer, but i'll have to decline. Since I completed B-Spec, I just let them do seasonal races. He's close to peak career, so need for levelling up :)

2J in T-minus 30 days. If I miss that, it's another 832 days :o

Am I right in thinking that 1 game day equals 1 day in real life... or is it faster? Is there a set time like 1 game day equals 2 hours or something. I know it's sad... but I really want to workout when to check UCD haha

You could get that today if I'm right. Load up 5 licenses is 5 days so load up 10 is 10 days! Just keep loading the licences up if you have the money if not only do the highest paying races!
 
each time a new event is loaded its a new day in game, load up first 5 licence tests that equals 5 day then ucd should be fully refreshed.
 
Nice one guys, looks like I best get my finances in order then. To A-Spec seasonal for the millions.

Also the TT AND DT don't count as days for some reason!!
 
Like you i was on the hunt for this car for 10 months. Every time i was on GT5 i would spend an hour or so nudging the licences 5 days and checking the ucd.
Was starting to doubt it would appear when bingo.

Now have all the motors im after.
Roll on GT6.
 
I have 3 of them, and passed on the 4th that showed this morning.
My quest is for FGT's.
The only ones I've been able to get are from the online dealership.
As of this morning I have 1080 cars, 3 of the are FGT's.
 
I have tried the 1970 ticket a few times, no luck. I did have 20 mil and bought a F2007, tested it out and guess what vehicle showed up in UCD....
 
I may have missed it but I believe I've only seen it once in 18 months and just bought it a month or so ago.
 
Theres a 2J in my ucd atm, though im kind of confused that the 2 fastest classic race cars in the game are tons cheaper than the other slower ones.

I beleive in some sort of update pd removed Formula cars from the ucd since they always show up in the OCD. makes sense to me, either that or ive only seen one ucd fgt ever.
 
I just got one on my secondary account from the UCD. My main account has yet to see one since they were in the OCD. That was a real bummer since I had just got the 2D and needed more funding and then they changed the OCD, Grrrrr.
@ Giygas- I've seen FGT's in the UCD recently, more than the 2J at least.
BTW: Just missed the GT40 because of funding. First time I'd seen it.:(

I got mine out the UCD when I didn't have connection to PSN!
 
When the game was new to me and I had not learned how to run my bob's overnight for quick cash it came up and I didn't have the money to buy it. Now I have more money than I know what to do with and monitor my main account for every UCD cycle so I don't miss something.

I now have 2 2J's and 2 or 3 2D's in my main account garage. One of these cars was purchased when it came up in the OCD. The other one was when the UCD cycled a second time in 15 or so months. I also have 3 or more of each of the top dollar cars.

I run the widget most days and my bob's earn US$300,000 plus per night so that's 1.8 mil every day. At 200% that's 3.6 mil.

If you're not running the widget you're going to do a lot of driving to earn enough money to buy them all as they come through the UCD.
