Greetings.

Welcome to the Emerald City Tuning Garage of OZ Racing. Emerald City Tunes specializes in DS3 tunes. DFGT tunes will be added in a future update. All tunes are also located in the GTPlanet Tuning Database.

Our headquarters is located inside the beautiful Autumn Ring in Michigan's magnificent Upper Peninsula. Therefore, this is our home track. We also have satellite locations all over the world. Some of the tracks that allow us to test at their facilities (and also host many Special Events) are the Twin Rings of Motegi in Japan; the Red Bull Ring in Austria; while in Italy we stay at the classic Autodromo Nazionale Monza while making camp in the woods the entire time we are there; we also hold events at Daytona during the festivities in January at the same time as the 500 and Rolex 24; Silverstone is one of our favorite places in England; and in Germany we take over the infamous Nurburgring for weeks during our annual company picnic in October.

...more information coming soon.

Best Wishes,

OpticZero

Emerald City FAQ by OZ

  • Transmission -- "What on Earth does 'set as you wish' mean when I try to look up the Transmission Settings?" Well, we use this as a basic guide and then fine tune the gears to find specific track numbers. As many tuners and drivers like to have custom gears set to their very own specs for each of the many different tracks, Emerald City Tunes shows you this basic guide to let you pick your own gears. Credit to Motor City Hamilton for publishing his transmission tips. We are thinking about publishing our gearing numbers we used during testing if enough folks want to use these as a baseline to start before adjusting them to suit specific tracks. Just let us know in the comments.
  • Tuner/Customer Relationship -- "This tune is doing nothing for me. Why does that other tune work and this one doesn't?" Valid question; and here is the general consensus as to why that is. Each and every driver has a certain unique driving style. For example: some drivers are better suited for racing front-wheel drive street cars while other drivers are really good at mid-engine, high performance race cars. Each tuner has certain styles when it comes to both driving and tuning, therefore making the relationship between driver, tuner, and car a very complicated one. Just because you may not like a certain tune from a certain garage does not mean that other tunes from that tuner may not work for you...or it might. You never really know which tuners will have a majority of tunes that work for you and your driving style until you start trying a variety of tunes from a variety of tuning garages. Just because a driver tries one or two tunes from a tuner and they end up not meshing well for whatever reason, does not give the right to drivers to rip or belittle the tuner for not making every tune perfect for every driver. That is just not going to happen. So please, make any comments about any tuners constructive ones.
We greatly appreciate all constructive and practical questions. Please leave them in the comments below. We are an open-minded group that is always keen to productive, valuable, and useful opinions.

General Information and Tuning Notes: Sorry, NISMO, but your tune kinda felt like a brick and needed to be slightly adjusted. The new version still has the original's stiffness, as is it's personality, but far less tightly wound. It is a pure street machine that can take it all the way to the checkered flag.
