Engine Swaps list

I love how the Forza developers included this idea, I've been waiting for a game to do this for so damn long. Changing the engine completely changes the character of the car and I love the way you can put new, high-tech motors in older cars.

Anyway, I created this thread because I want to know all the possible engine swaps that you can do. I'll start off the ones that I've found:

Mazda MX5/Miata 1.8: 13B Rotary Turbo, makes the little MX5 crazy fast, it basically doubles the stock kws and can be modded all the way up to 397kw.
Mazda RX7 Spirit R: 20B Rotary, no change in power but waaaay torquier (is that a word?) and much smoother, linear power delivery.
Ford Mustang Boss 429: 5.4L Supercharged, from the Ford GT supercar, can be supercharged to 560kw! Makes traction a bit of a worry though.
Toyota Trueno GT Apex: 3SGE, 3SGTE, I put the 3SGTE in mine because I wanted the slightly better acceleration and turbo power. Once again makes traction near impossible
Porsche 911 Carrera RS: 996 GT2 motor, I wasn't expecting this but a welcome addition, I'm going to change this into my Carrera when I'm done with the Pro C Class races and the Unmodified Pre-1975 class.

Please post any other transplants you've done along with a little description if possible and maybe a max power rating too, again if possible. Thanks :)

I don't have the game, but you can put the RB26DETT in a Silvia, not sure which though.

You can put the C5R 427 motor in the 69 Camaro SS, which is just rediculous. I was able to kick the ass end out going 80, it's almost but not entirly scary.

In the S14 240sx, you can put an SR20DET, RB26DET, and an RB26DETT

S15 Silvia allows you to swap in an RB26DETT, and some other engines, not sure what.

Great thread idea. Driftgod might be able to complete the entire list when he gets on.
The other nice thing about the engine swaps is that you can hear the difference too. Some cars dont sound as good with the upgrade but most do.

And you can put the C5R engine in the 67 Vette too.

I think it's a 5.4L V8 but who cares? Thanks for all the info man, did you actually buy all these cars yourself to find out or just find a list elsewhere?

Anyway thanks 👍

i have the strategy guide, but the list is not right, in the guide there is no CHEVEROLET or CADILLAC, so im not sure what cars are missing. i will go through the cars i have unlocked this weekend to see if there are more ;)

its 5,7 L and ive think Driftgod got it..

funniest car to drive with engine swaps top5
1. Porsche 911 RS with 911 GT2 (993)
2. Nissan 240ZX with RB26DETT
3. Imprezza 2.5RS with ej25DT
4. Elan Sprint with 2zz-ge
5. Civic Si Coupe with K20a

hard to drive all of em... :D

the older mid to early celica engines are pretty popular swaps into very light cars like the mr2 spider in real life. i was wondering if that was possible in forza>?

You can only swap engines from the same manufacturer into the cars e.g. Only Nissans can have Nissan engines. I really wanted a 1UZ-FE AE86 but the Forza guys didn't include the V8. It better be in the next Forza.... :shakesfist:
