Error accesing the USB Flash Memory...

The problem is like it says in the topic.
i have a usb flash memory. A 32mb one. On my computer it is functioning properly but the PS2 doesn't seem to be able to access it...
any advice or help please...

ok so mine has FAT file system...but when i choose format i can't choose another file system...only FAT. Any alternative way to make it FAT32?
oh and is it ok if i insert it while the playstation is running?

sometimes there is a switch on the side that locks it make sure the switch is set to unlocked if there is one.

I was wondering...I know you can use a digital cammera cord(usb cord). But my cord fits the computer and the camera. So is it possible to transfer pictures from my PS2 to my camera and then to my computer. If someone could answer this it would be great. It sounds like it would work but I wasnt sure.

im sorry to dissapoint you but i tryed it with a Digital Camera Canon Powershot a300 and it doesnt work(it has CompactFlash) and with a Canon MV830i that has a MMC card and that doesnt work either. the flash drive is the only solution.
Anyway i found a 128mb one for 11.50 USD so its not that expensive

why do you need a usb drive for GT4 what does it do?
