Answer thew question if you can, and just keep posting results, or whatever and then eventually, the next question...

Okay, here's the question:

Name two F1 drivers that drove for at least two teams on two different occasions. That means, they drove for a team, left, and then returned; and then did the same again for another team, and likewise, returned.

I can only think of two drivers that did this; there may be more, but only 2 spring to mind. If you can name another, all the better! (Of course, we are strictly talking about world championship F1 races from 1950-2001...but non-champ entries are good to hear about anyhow.)

The only one that I can think of is Dan Gurney. He drove for Brabham from 1963 to 1965 and in 1968. He also drove for McLaren in 1968 and then in 1970.

I posted a full reply at GTF before it collapsed but...

Andrea DeCesaris (Alfa Romeo / Jordan)
Stirling Moss (Cooper / Maserati / Lotus)
Mario Andretti (McLaren / Ferrari)
Graham Hill (Lotus / Brabham)

Pick any two.

Mario was the one that didn't count. He entered a race but was DQ'd before his pole winning "first" race.

The "trick" in the question was "entered" not "Participated in"

From JEC on GTF

You've forgotten Gerhard Berger (ATS, Arrows, Benetton, Ferrari, McLaren, Ferrari, Benetton).

I can confirm that one is right. So that's as many as 5 answers so far.

Which two did you have pupik?

Yup, Duds got it right. Juggling between forums is giving me a headache. Jacques Laffite was another: Williams, Ligier, then Williams, and finally Ligier.

No.

1971-1972 - March
1973 - BRM
1974-1977 - Ferrari
1978/79 - Brabham
1982-1984 - McLaren

I guess it's my turn. Compex one

When Johnny Herbert won the 1999 European Grand Prix, it was the 350th what?

I hope one of two things is true.

a)Joe was guessing
or
b)he has the same poster I have

It was indeed the 350th win for Champion spark plugs

By that point they also had 23 constructors titles and 21 driver championships.

No guess, no poster. Just clever. :tophat:

When Johnny Herbert won the 1999 European Grand Prix it was the first time in a long time that a car without tabacco sponsorship had won a Grand Prix.

Who, what, where and when was the previous non-tabacco sponsored winner?

Hah!

Mika Hakkinen, British Grand Prix 2001.

No tobacco to be seen.

Ahhhh, but still sponsored by a beloved baccy company. KevinPSX was heading down the right track.

I thought the question was asking which was the last race BEFORE Johnny Herbert's win, which featured a car with no tobacco sponsorship.

The most recent race to be won by a non-tobacco-sponsored car was Monza 2001, by Montoya in a Williams.

As to before 1999, I'll get thinking...

From then to Euro99 every race was...

Benetton (Camel or Mild Seven since 1991 - oz was the last race of 90)

McLaren (Marlboro or West since the early 70s)

Ferrari (Marlboro since 1984)

Williams (Camel 1991-93, Rothmans till 97, Winfield 98,99)

Ligier (Galuoises)
