Thanks again Goonie75. Yep, its hard to trail brake well, when all the braking is done in just a couple of centimetres of the play in the pedal. I tried using BRF50 last night, felt OK, will stick with it for a while.

Do you have a wheel that lets you adjust settings on the fly?
If you do I suggest you jump on a track and experiment with the BRF setting, you want to set it to max out to the pressure that you natrually apply, not try and match your pressure to the setting you pick.

Is this your first load cell pedal? They can take while to get used to, but once you do you won’t want to go back, I originally used 65s thinking the others were way to hard, but after getting used to it I tried the 85s and never looked back, I also added a little deadzone to start of my brake pedal (you have to set this up on PC), as I tend to rest my left foot on the brake pedal and added some washers to foam section to reduce the initial softzone, I also reversed the throttle bumper to reduce the travel a little (you can adjust the travel zone for this on the wheel)

Yes, got the CSL Elite wheelbase that I can change settings on the fly, its my first LC, but I have been using this for 6 months and have got to 40000DR, i still dont think I trail brake well and I find that releasing the brake slightly drops me down to about 20% braking, so I'm trying to find ways to help with that.

I'll give the 85kgs ago again, i played around with the deadzone, when i rest my foot, I'm not seeing any input so dont think thats an issue.
for your last point on the throttle bumper you have lost me, what setting is that ?

The throttle has nothing to do with braking obviously, it's just a simple change I did, i flipped the rubber pad that the pedal hits at full throttle to reduce the pedal travel, I can't remember if I had to put anything under it ot not thou.

On my V3‘s I changed my BRF from standard 50 to 80 and I’m good with it.
Im a Rookie and new to all these settings but the Trail braking works better this way for me.

I have a medium setting with my brake performance kit (green/red) installed.

Edit: I forgot, I also added a deadzone to my brake pedal (via windows driver and calibration settings when the pedals are connected to my computer via usb) so my left foot can easily rest on the pedal without braking.

Yeah, I wish I'd splashed out for the V3's at the time. Theyre very different pedal sets, so I dont think your setting really apply to my case, but thanks. Imight try this deadzone thing though.

Since recently my acceleration pedal squeaks. My pedals are only 6 month old. Does anybody had the same issues? Is there a easy fix for it?
@DomB_Fanatec Or should I open a support ticket?
Video for it:

Try a lubricant like WD40 or something similar that will fix any squeaking, because I think your accelerator is crying out for a bit of lubrication.
I have the CSL V3 pedals and the accelerator pedal squeak after 1 months of use, so I use Fanatec lubricant and that did nothing to help. So I ended up using WD40, and the pedal has not made a sound and that was 5 months ago.

I've ordered the WD-40 Specialist Protective White Lithium Grease Spray and will try it out this evening. Hope it'll help.
@StewWilson72 Have you tried it with a lubricant? Maybe It isn't the Elastomer. Otherwise I would request Fanatec.

No need to use a Specialist Protective stuff for squeaks, just use good old WD-40 is the best for squeaks and I highly recommend it 👍.

Anyone else who wants to use WD-40 spray, get one with a nozzle, so you don't make a mess :).

Too late, I've already applied the special stuff
But for the moment the squaking is gone
That's ok because it does the same thing as WD-40 anyway, and they both stop the squeaks for good :).

I have used the WD-40 Specialist Protective White Lithium Grease Spray on my car, but I have found that the WD-40 original spray does the same thing and it last a long time.

Hello everyone! I have an issue with the pad of my Csl elite ps4 steering wheel. It has stopped responding in the right direction. Did anyone encounter similar problem and has a fix? Thanks!

Hello everyone! Just came across this thread and thought I'd also ask here just in case...

I have the CSL Elite PS4 with drivers 328. I've been checking the fanatec forum threads and users had all kinds of issues with updating the drivers. Currently, Dirt 2, ACC (PC) and GTS play like a charm but recently I got FM7 (PC) and can't get it to work - also I've been having some minor issues (like a jolt when shutting down, sometimes when the wheel boots DRI doesn't recognise negative values and have to reset, etc).

So, can anyone report if it is worth updating? I mean are there any actual benefits of 400 compared to 328? Any serious bugs? Looking forward to your replies!

Driver 381 is very good.
Driver 402 has bug and I do not recommend it.

I got the Fanatec CSL Elite with Formula Wheel and pedals last year.
Had some issues with the throttle, where I'd have to switch off the base and hoover out the pedals, which would then work.
Throttle has now gone completely. Any ideas how to fix this?
