Baku moves from it's traditional early-season position in the calendar to the start of the flyaways as we head out of Europe for the last rounds of the year. The Caspian Sea coastal circuit is one of the few street circuits on the calendar which actually is a true street circuit, and the closeness of the barriers has caught many drivers out over the years with F1 pinning its hopes on that causing chaos in the Grand Prix, even if the middle of the season has proven that you don't need Safety Cars to have excellent races. McLaren have the fastest car at the moment, but strategic blunders have really held them back recently, can they sort themselves out to mount a proper championship challenge? In the Drivers it's difficult, but they are now only 10 points away from taking the lead of the Constructors Championship. Will they do it? We will only find out at the AZERBAIJAN GRAND PRIX!

A track that usually provides one or two moments of excitement each year. Don't let us down now that this year has become interesting to watch.

Well you've said it now, if it's a bore-fest, it's your fault.

Intrigued to see how Bearman gets on here, he went extremely well last year in F2 on this circuit, topped every session, won both races.

If he can drag that mobile chicane that Haas calls a car into a scoring position, then Ferrari should be making sure he's happy to stay in their organization until he has the opportunity to move up. I'm sure they won't be the only ones taking notice.

Is it to early to say that Red Bull might have find some solutions to their gremlins?
They've introduced an updated floor for this weekend but let's see where they line up on Sunday morning.

Max looked a little off for FP2, but Max is also Max, so he'll more than likely pull something out of the bag during Qualifying. Checo's looking good, but this is also a very strong circuit for him; 3rd-6th-1st-2nd-1st in the last 5 GPs here.

I think Singapore may be more telling?

Colapinto with another brilliant lap in Q2. 6th quickest and ahead of Albon comfortably.

Bearman out qualifies Hulkenberg as well, P11 for him.

The whole McLaren team just don't seem to be prepared to contend for a championship, at least mentally.

Unfortunate for Lando, but I wouldn’t give up just yet.

Very impressive performance from the rookies.

Some good news for Norris & McLaren. A couple less cars ahead of him on the grid - Gasly was DQd from quali because of a fuel issue and Hamilton will start from the pitlane after an engine change.
