Wraith, I dont have Gold and have all of the car packs for both F5 as well as FH2. My CC information was put in without a hitch. I have purchased games as well.

How long ago did you do this. Microsoft billing online and on Xbox One has not worked for me generating all kinds of error since I tried to add a payment card on Tuesday this week. It's annoying me that I can not buy the Xbox Live membership still.

I'm loving it. Got some great cars I didn't think I'd ever get :cool:

If I get told off by MS or T10, I'll stop

I have about 3 cards linked to my xbox account, and all went through without a hitch. I've had this current account for about a year, my last account was probably 3 years and still had no problems. The ones before that never had a card linked.

Thanks for the reply. I'm really just interested the past week. If people have tried adding a car in the past week. Because I get CP200 error then a long code on my Xbox and online. Then when i go to billing.commerce.com or microsoft.billing.com When I add a card I get an error about the service being unavailable. When I loged into a 3rd PC today to try add my card.

When I clicked billing under my gamertag sign in menu top right of page I had server error that red writing come up saying and exception error has caused another exception error of some kind. On wednesday I couldn't register my Xbox for errors then it worked on thursday. I've been trying to add my card since tuesday with the same error. I've been onto Microsoft chat support 2 times now.

Thats really odd. Unfortunately I do not have any more cards that I can add to my account, otherwise I'd try it out and see what happens :(
 
Yeah it's nothing to do with my computers or viruses because I'd newly factory restored my laptop just before I got my Xbox One on Monday. Then I tried on my older Desktop Windows XP Pro PC today. Same errors. It's not my card as I can use it everywhere else and I'm not overdrawn I have money in bank so its nothing to do with me. Ordered Xbox from amazon.co.uk on Monday and it worked fine.

I used to have an Xbox 360 which was over a year ago now I bought Xbox Gold and had Forza 4 with it. But that was over a year ago. I closed my account under the same email address I always used for my hotmail email to log in on Xbox one and create a password. I needed a new password which I changed and setup on Xbox One. Then I changed my gamertag on wednesday from the default one it gives you if you don't set a gamertag name. Maybe I need to create a new account under a completely new email address. But I shouldn't have to do this, I've had my hotmail email account for years.

Microsoft billing as soon as I log in and click manage payment card or add payment car, The country/region drop down box at the top is buggy it is pre-set to United Kingdom when I log in. But I had to set the drop down box to different country/region then back again just so that the phone number and postcode are not asking for the USA format. Even then sometimes they don't change when I set a new country/region. Sometimes it takes two changes for the form to properly change to the UK form.

I've told Microsoft on the two times I've chatted to them about this. I don't know but I think they are having massive issues with their microsoft.billing.com or xbox.live.com or www.xbox.com websites. Also the first time I chatted to the support agent she said she spoke to a specialist engineer who said they were updating tools. She asked me to try again later and said she would get back to me on my phone number and never did. So I did I tried wed, then Thursday. So I opened up a Microsoft chat on Thursday and we went through Xbox One, my Laptop and online using two different web browsers.

She also said told me to wait and try again later as she was having some trouble at times with the tools on her end. Then all my chats queries with them have been logged for when I open up yet another query maybe on Saturday or Monday. I just think Microsoft are having many issues or problems right now. Or it's something to do with an old account I had over a year ago which I don't think it is. Because when you close an account it should be closed right?

I've had my MS account for about 3 years and my X1 for about a year. Can't help as far as cards go sorry, I use vouchers purchased from shops. I've had no problems adding the codes and buying dlc cars in FM5 recently though
 
I doubt they'll patch it. They haven't even bothered patching the multiplayer lead achievement. Don't see how this would attract a warning or even a ban either. Surely, they can't ban you for just parking your car for a while in the middle of the race. If I'd only just started out and wanted some cool cars, I'd absolutely make use ot it. No point for me as I already have more money than I could ever reasonably spend.
 
If I had the game I'd certainly do it. Credits and buying cars/parts/whatever have only ever spoiled the fun.

There's also the 1 in 100000000000000000 chance that this helps Turn 10 realize the above. One can dream.
 
I just tried this thinking that if I had the money to buy the cars I wanted I may start playing this game again.
Waited 50 minutes and got 2.8 million credits.
 
I tried yesterday morning and got 2.5 million after about 40 minutes.

Now tonight, I did it for 2 and a half hours and it didn't work. Tried it again for another 3 hours. Started up, crossed the line, got to the end of the pits, hit pause to finish, and once again or tells me I haven't beat my rival.

I just ran it once more and now I can't seem to beat it. If there's one upside, I do get between 150k and 200k for my2 minutes of work.

Edit: I think I figured out what I did wrong, and boy do I feel dumb.

Hey I'm getting very impatient with Microsoft. Heres an error from trying to add my payment card on billing.microsoft.com again today and ever since Tuesday this week. I've tried to add numerous times whether on my Xbox One, one my Windows 7 laptop or Windows XP Personal Computer using two different Web Browsers.

I have already had two chat sessions with a Microsoft agent through the week. One said they were updating tools on their side and it might be something to do with that and that she would call me back. She did not call me back. The 2nd agent did the same thing and said to try again later after I gave all the errors trying to add a card on both www.xbox.com billing.microsoft.com. My sessions with them and previously were logged if I had any more problems trying to add a payment card when I use Chat support to contact them again.

This just seems to me that Microsoft has inherent issues or something really really wrong with their website that they aren't working to fix. I've been trying to do this since Tuesday. This is appalling from Microsoft. I can't buy Xbox Live membership until my payment car is allowed to be added on my account. What an earth is going on! ughhhhhhh :mad::mad:

Last renewal time my outdated credit card refused to renew XBL so I bought a voucher instead. But XBL wouldn't let me on due to the failed renewal so I had to phone MS to cancel the auto renew. Instead they deferred it for a year. Hope it doesn't give me the same glitch next time.

Anyway, how about that millionaire glitch hey? Wish it worked on GT6 where I really need it for the Historic Car event LOL.

Thanks for replying UKMikey. Appreciate you sharing your experience it could be really helpful to me. My card is a mastercard its new this year. I've had a microsoft subscription to xbox lvie gold before but it was over a year ago maybe 2 years maybe. Because it was at least 6 months since I gave my xbox 360 away to my nephew. When I purchased that old subscription it was done on the xbox 360 with my old maestro card. I had a different gamertag but I can't now remember if i used an older email address or the current email address I now use. I really don't know.

Maybe they have deferred my older card for well over a year ago now? is this possible whether I used an old email address or the one I use now? I know that my old hotmail email account does not work anymore as i used to be able to log in but I can't anymore under the passwords that I think I remember using for it. I can't even remember if my old subscription had ended before I gave my 360 to my nephew. I might have to do the same thing as you. Or can I get around it by creating a new account with a different email address so that a new card will be accepted?

Just checked my emails of old. I bought the old xbox 360 on 7 may 2013. I bought Xbox live gold 12mnth on 20 april 2013. I then got an automatic renewal on 21 mar 2014. Then i received confirmation of renewal email on 20 april 2014. I then received an email on the 21 april 2014 of "IMPORTANT! Microsoft Account Update Required to Avoid Interruption in Service‏". Then on 28 april 2014 I received another email "UPDATE REQUIRED! Update your Microsoft Account Now to Avoid Interruptions in Service‏". I then found an email that was listed 7 June 2014 "Gold – 12 Month cancellation confirmation". So I cancelled it in June 2014 after it being renewed from Mar 21. I'd had the live gold for just over 1 year and I cancelled it under my old maestro card.

I haven't had an Xbox live membership or Xbox 360 since then. It was only until Mon 23 Feb 2015 that I've just bought an new Xbox One console. Put in the same account email address into my Xbox One, then on billing.microsoft.com and on www.xbox.com. And it didn't accept this new card. So I'm thinking I cancelled my live membership in June 2014 or in an around 7th June 2014. Maybe Microsoft have my old card or have deferred my card? Therefore for some reason they have my old card stored and it won't accept a new card. But my old card isn't under my account on billing.microsoft.com or www.xbox.com.

Can I buy the car packs without the Xbox live membership? Because someone gave me a free trial code for 7 days. When I try to buy a car pack I'm asked for my credit card. And since I couldn't add my card on the Xbox or online I'm a bit dubious as to try to purchasing some content dlc without a membership.

I'd like to buy the 6 Car pack dlc for £31.00.

Do you mean without gold? To which the answer is yes.
 
Yes. Because my card isn't added. SO I don't have any Live membership. So if I use this code someone has given me for trial 7 days I can buy the 6 car pack which I'd like.
No, because you'd still have to add a card regardless. How else would you pay for the DLC?
 
Damn just tried it won't let me. I just don't understand why microsoft having problems for so long.
One question, are the card pre-paid cards, or are they debit/credit cards?

What kind of card is it? (visa, mastercard, etc.)

Have a read here. Maybe there'll be something useful in there that you might have overlooked.
 
It's a Mastercard.

After reading that I get no errors on that list. My card is activated and works. Its not being held back by the bank. I have sufficient funds. The thing is at https://commerce.microsoft.com/PaymentHub/PaymentInstrument my card isn't added. Because it won't add there. So I have no region set to UK yet.

The card won't add to billing.microsoft.com.

This is usually the error I was presented with. with a long code under it.
