I was thinking this when I seen the pics and videos but Jordan helped confirm my opinion. I also appreciate his honesty. Sounds like T10 has spent most of their resources on graphics. While graphics are great and we can all appreciate a beautiful game, we know what happens when too much focus is on graphics. This IMO is why F5 is not going to have weather or night racing.
Why do you keep jumping to this conclusion? Have you heard nothing about the next level of physics they are focusing on? Dan brings it up in every interview.

Until you have a pie chart showing more emphasis was put on graphics, you're getting yourself worked up for nothing.

The car with the #4 was in the Forza 4 trailer and never made it into Forza 4. Case and point, don't show something in your trailer that wont be in the game. They also showed dirt roads in the F4 trailer. So when they start showing the trailers for F5, don't expect everything to be there.

Wasn't that the trailer that was filled with real life footage?

No biggie mate

Dem tyres....

I'm hoping for some really cool Forzavista home spaces. This one is beautiful and pristine, and great for lavish high end supercars. But for me, I would prefer a really sweet looking garage, with tools and posters, and grime everywhere, a kind of grassroots tuner garage, with dim lighting, or sun light seeping in from an open garage door or through windows.

Im really looking forward to checking out photomode shots from our famed photo specialists on these forums. 👍

So what? GT2 had the instrument cluster of a McLaren F1 on the cover, yet the car didn't make it into the GT series until #5.

Yeah, I'm with you, really anxious to see what they give us.

Ok now lets keep that in mind when the first trailers for F5 start to release. We know from the past that they are known for showing false information.

Dan did say in an interview that the physics they are talking about are not even in this demo. They are placeholders while they finalize. He said it in one of the E3 interviews, can't remember the one

I remember that, but I thought it was more along the lines of: some elements were not in the engine yet because they are still being developed "baked".

Yeah, according to what Dan said we're seeing the game pretty much as itll play, with a few of the deeper elements being left out of the demo due to a lack of polish.

I'm guessing the stuff left out would be things like varying track surface temps, flat spotting, and other things that most reporters at E3 probably wouldnt even notice if it was there.

Sadly most of these reporters no nothing about cars or proper driving. I hate watching videos of them driving around :yuck:

I'm sure there's still plenty of info and features yet to be revealed.

I thought Dan said that what people were seeing at E3 was a mixture of old and new physics? Even a small change in physics can have a massive effect.

I'd have to watch the interview again. But when the majority of people playing the game at E3 only have their lap times varied by how man walls they've hit, I doubt many would notice whatever small nuances there are to be added to the physics engine, even if those small changes can yield a huge change for the better drivers.

The whole idea about not including night driving and weather because of physics is utter BOLLOCKS I think!

New hardware is here, there is absolutely NO reason why T10 can't include those two. Again, no rally driving.

All of this in favor of physics and graphics??

Well, the physics better be one heckuva jaw dropper, or this is going to be a day one PASS for me!

Could have sworn that someone posted a video stating that the reason why it wasnt in the game was due to physics, because they didnt want to just slap an ice track because its raining. With they time they had they couldnt get it to what they felt was right.

Possibly (hopefully) coming as an update.

I'm not going to look forward to it though cus I dont want to get my hopes up, just in case.

Yes, there is. Time.

I know it sucks, but it's not like they're just porting FM4 onto a new system. We've already seen what happens when moving onto a new platform and the developers try and introduce too many new things at once *cough* *cough* *GT5*.

That is some seriously derailed logic.

The topic was: "Everything you see in a trailer may not make it to the final game."
It was not: "Gran Turismo is better than Forza".

Wow, Turn10 must really be running themselves ragged releasing all of these great pictures.

My favorite is the one that doesn't consist primarily of text.

You'll probably find they're running themselves ragged finishing a game due out in a couple of months. And too right. The less buggy the game is the better.

I like what I call the 'Rockstar/GTA' approach to promotion. Keep quiet most of the time, then let the game do the talking closer to release and after. Otherwise it's the 'Kunos/Assetto Corsa' approach, which people are dubbing "The Real Screenshot Simulator"

Yeah, I'm not criticizing T10 for being stingy with game info (although it's incredibly frustrating); only that the thread that's supposed to be about pictures is an image-barren fanboy bonfire.

Well hey... what the heyy, right?!

As long as they get EVERYTHING right this time, minus the night driving, weather and rallying..

NO excuse they can't have all'o that in FM6. Just saying!

Looks like Turn10 have figured out a way to play FM5 on a VCR. Just kidding, McLaren. That's a patently false statement. Enjoy.

That is a seriously stupid attempt at responding to my post. Go back to what I responded to (a post whining you shouldn't show things in a trailer if they won't be in the game). No different than the cover of GT2 showing a car that never made it into a game.

Both consoles look like a VCR. However what is that silver toaster in the picture? Another new console we don't know about?

Also where are the F5 pics? Hardly any being shown at all.
