Good, somebody put the thread in the proper forum!

Now, if crazed fanboys want to throw mud on the topic, they'll have to venture into foreign territory. Should whittle the numbers.

couple of usefull resources for Forza Motorsport

From the Forza Motorsport demo this game is looking very promising there's a few area's I feel they need to work on..

The Brakes They lock up far to easily.

The Photorealism the graphics are splendid, but just not totally Photorealistc .

I love the direction there taking with Forza Motorsport focusing on Live [Online] & the Customisation of cars, I can't wait until April till I get my hands on the full game i'll be a very happy camper....

Beetween Gran Turismo 4 & Forza Motorsport I don't know how i'm gonna get anything done this year...

Theres always 2006 :dopey:

The release date is Feb. according to the local Gamestop. But personally from the demo I think its a lot better then the GT series.

I think the official release date is april actually.

I have the demo of Forza( pronounced.. Fortsa) it has had alot of thought and hours put in it. The graphics aren't up to some of the other titles out there but it seems like they have concentrated on the game play and true simulation. Take the tcs and stability management off and you will have your hands full!! It's like no other game I have played in that respect. But all in the same sentence It's just what I said, "have your hands full" with a controller! what gives? You can't actually have a true driving sim if you are using the controller! I don't care who uses one, You cannot get the full effect of a simulation with a controller, one doesent use only his or her hands to drive with and let your feet set there do they? (handicapped maybe) but for the rest of us we use our feet to brake, accelerate and use the clutch. I would love to play this game with a FF wheel but unfortunately there is not a true ff wheel that works on the box. I do like this game and can see that they gave it there upmost attention but it still falls short in my book because of no ff wheel. 👎 👍 Just wait for Enthusia or buy GT4 if you want a better game.

Here's a list of "confirmed cars" from Microsoft, taken from www.totalvideogames.com

I took the time to arrange them, but it's frustrating that the years and specifics aren't listed. Oh well, I did my best...

BTW, this is in no way an official list, because it is subject to radical change. But it's all we've got, for now. Oh yeah, if anyone can help with the JGTC cars it would be nice. The numbers change from year to year and the ones listed are pretty vague, so I wouldn't be surprised if I got a few of them wrong.

Also I think Forza is going to included the 95' Eagle Talon TSi (AWD Turbo). If so then  I am going to throw a party.

It's in the list. I put it under chrysler, just because.

Edit:

Sorry, it ain't the Gen you were looking for. It's a '98

Didn't notice. Seriously I wish Diamond Stars Motors would come back, I mean why not thier what 15 Year old cars are part of one of the largest aftermarkets in the world. Also the 4G63 Turbo motor, their staple, is still one of the easiest bolt on powerhouse 4-Cylinders, therefore I believe DSM, Diamond Star Motors for the idiots, should make an attempt to resurface their company. Just a thought.

Mitsubishi is content with selling fat ugly V6 powered loser-mobiles with the Eclipse badge. And as for DSM... the SRT-4 took it's crown.

looks like a very nice game :)

But if you can't drive this game with real ForceFeedback wheel then you just can't compare it with GT4.. driving with a gamepad is just not nice :|

so i hope for you guys, microsoft makes a xbox ForceFeedback driver to use in race games like this :)

Although it's extremely hard to confirm, it definitely seems like they have a true forcefeedback wheel in the works from Fanatec.

People get thrown off by all the gimmicks and buzzwords, but I'm pretty sure it's forcefeedback in the real sense.

Excellent thread!! I was really tired of the other one that was just pounding Forza. Forza is going to be an extremely fun game.
1. It will be online
2. Great graphics
3. Realistic physics
4. Car damage
5. Very intelligent AI (even the demo)
6. Excellent list of cars and over 250
7. Tire marks on road
8. Paint marks stay on guard rail and other objects when you scrape them
9. Full car mods including body
I can't wait for the release of FORZA MOTORSPORTS. :) 👍
And this is coming from a PS2 fanboy.

the only thing that could potentially kill it is the wheel(s) available for it. I hate the MC2, so this fanatec wheel is my only hope. Playing with the controller is a pain in the ass, because the controls are not nearly as forgiving as GT is with a DS2.

And the graphics could use a spit shine.

SHHHHHH this isnt a "compare to GT4" thread remember. :dunce:
FORZA ONLY. :) 👍

I didn't compare it to anything. I just stated that playing with a controller is a pain, which it is. It's not that X game is better, it's just that FORZA needs a good wheel, unless they overhaul the controls from the demo.

I agree with Kinigitt here, Forza is a very, very responsive game and the pad doesn't quite cut it imo, the wheel is supposed to be proper force feedback though.

I just saw a screenie of the TSi. It looks like SH**! What the heck the one car I wanted to run the rims off of looks like a box? I am angered! 👎

IF they incorporate a ff wheel I will buy but I keep saying is ENTHUSIA is going to be the racing game that blindsides the whole sim racing world!!!

Yeah, I have a feeling that the underdog (konami) might be onto something.

And TSi, you should wait for the game to come out, because they suck at releasing screens. The game looks much better in motion than in any of their screenshots. I just worry about the goofy looking wheels+tires.

"The game looks much better in motion than in any of their screenshots"

Thats the exact opposite of this other game. The wheels have been looking bad since Day 1. dont expect them to change. The wheels in PGR2 were a mixed bag. some looked fabulous were others looked rushed and very bad and carryed on to the final game..

Just to add something about the Speedster wheel for Xbox and forza, its $149 price is waay too steep. It has far less value than this one other wheel that has a higher turning degree, a hand shifer and can be used with PC.s

This game is really looking great. Realistic physics, and complete car customization. Finally the game I have been waiting for!

I will most definately be buying a XBox for this title (and other titles ofcourse).

Only thing that I'm not very impressed with are the car models. They look accurate but they just arent up to par with other XBox racing titles. Although I might add, the tracks look amazing.

Edit: Just tried out the "Carbuilder" feature on the Forza official site.
👍 If they can have that many different aero kits on all the cars, that would be quite the acomplishment.
